And of course Carole and Tuesday’s song was great as always

look at their adorable smiles!!! (the band members snapping and stomping to the beat was cute too) Can’t wait to rewatch the entire series on Netflix

What other series do you think would be considered lgbt friendly?

As in animes that don’t rely on queerbait for fanservice and actually portray LGBT+ characters as normal people? That’d be a big list. Here are some of the titles that I think deserve recognition in this regard:

um um uMMMM then he betrays her / them and it is heARTBREAKING and aAAAANGST AF (which is just *kisses fingers* shipping perfection)

and tHEN zuko EARNS (***EARNSSSS****) her forgiveness for all of his mistakes and then teaches HER about how to know the difference between justice and revenge…THEY COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER SO WELL DAMNIT

zuko becomes part of their Found Family and lOOOK AT THEM FIGHTING PERFECTLY AND COMPLIMENTARY IN SYNC AHHHHH

and then.

AND THEN.

AAAAANNNNNDDDD.

TTTTHHHHEEEEENNNNNNN.

This sequence in the finale. This stunning, emotional, heartbreaking sequence that in addition to be just UNBELIEVABLE animation also has Azula pinpoint that Katara is a WEAK POINT for Zuko and targets that weak point and zuko juMPS IN FRONT OF A DEADLY LIGHTENING BOLT TO SAVE KATARA I CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT

Poor Connie

He’s tired of being betrayed, tired of being left behind. Annie, Reiner, Bertolt… and now Eren, at least that’s what it seems like to him. But isn’t there someone missing from the list?

Ymir, I mean. The two argued a lot, or to be more accurate, Connie kept snapping when she made fun of him. However, they were still somewhat close… but then, Ymir transformed.

He started doubting her loyalty, at least for a moment, but then-

-he realizes that Ymir is trying to protect them and is the first one to voice it. His faith in her returns again. That’s why, not much later, he does this:

He stops the other scouts from attacking her. He also goes over without hesitation, unlike the others who keep their distance. He even has the guts to land on her and kick her head when she ignores him. He trusts her not to harm him.

He’s a little shocked when Ymir “eats” Historia, but not long after, he and Historia have this conversation:

This is how well he knows Ymir, how much he has ended up trusting her. He knows what she’s about.

When Ymir stops as she hears Bertolt’s scream, Connie tells her to come along, he wants her to come along. At that point, leaving her behind was not an option he even considered.

And yet…

…He realizes that, along with Reiner and Bertolt, Ymir too kept her mouth shut about what she knew.

Historia tells him it was in order to protect him. Did Connie believe her? Who knows, but since she didn’t get listed along with the other traitors, it’s highly likely that Connie came to believe Historia later on. Even so, that doesn’t change the fact that Ymir was another important person he lost, even if she, in the end, didn’t betray him.

Connie loses a lot, actually. His family, everyone in his village… and very recently, his best friend, his other side, Sasha. I dare say that’s why we have Dark!Connie now, that’s what set everything in stone. He’s just so tired of suffering and losing everyone he loves that it’s taking a way too big toll on his mental health.

Despite all this, I noticed something interesting. Take a look at how chapter 111 ends:

Connie is holding Nikolo in place along with Jean. And yet-

-It’s Jean who slams Nikolo against the wall and starts roughing him up, not Connie. Why did Connie react so differently to Nikolo than he did to Onyankopon? Is it because Falco needed help and he, having a soft spot for kids, considered it priority? Was Jean always closer with Nikolo, so Connie decided to leave it up to him? Or were Connie and Nikolo so close that he thought the cook must have a reason? Was he still upset because of what Grior said and had a shorter fuse with Onyankopon because of that? Or was he so upset about the euthanasia plan?

Whatever the reason, the point is that Connie didn’t lash out at Nikolo, so he doesn’t see the cook as a traitor. And that’s good, for they are friends.

Let’s just hope he won’t lose this one, too.

You can’t blame Gabi for thinking that a fellow Marleyan would be happy that she killed an Eldian.

You also can’t blame Nicolo for acting so brashly because he finally knew who killed Sasha.

Overall, Sasha’s death sparked a lot of intense emotions.
