This is a common type of house in Argentina. Its main characteristic is being long and narrow, and having one or more internal patios surrounded by rooms connected to it and/or each other. I used to live in one of these houses, though it had been remodeled and didn't look as old-timey as this one.
Most constructions in Buenos Aires and its metropolitan area don't have spaces in between them, like they do in some American suburbs, which TS2 was modelled after. So recreating them in this game is more work due the limitations and the planning required.
I haven't played The Urbz, but the balloon song from the foundry is simultaneously my worst ASMR nightmare AND something I feel compelled to listen to every once in a while.
Years ago, HafiseAzale posted a mesh default for the Apartment Life gearhead chair, to make the back shorter. The original chair had a round window, and in the edit, it's eliptical. This is just a small edit of Hafi's default to make the window round again.
The museum is at least ready to be visited by sims. Hopefully over time I'll add new in-universe artworks. Not sure if I'm going to make this an owned business yet. Floorplan below.
hello! your art museum is absolutely gorgeous! would you maybe consider sharing it (even if it's just an empty shell)? I'd also love to download your sculpture of the woman with angel wings if you plan on sharing it. both the statue and the museum are fantastic!
Hi! Thank you, but I don't plan on uploading the museum or the statue. Sorry.
It's not that I don't like sharing. Making sure I credit everyone who made the cc used in lots, and that everything is included and works correctly takes time I don't have. And the statue is very much not optimized for a neighborhood object.
Made a new statue for my custom neighborhood. The first picture shows the first version I made last year. Time passed and now I don't like the pedestal or the fact that the statue is so huge. I had to make it huge so the plumbob fx would be in the correct position, since it's cloned from the Bella statue.
The new one is much smaller and made of bronze, and I changed the pose. It still has a polycount of around 7000 because it's a sim mesh.
The customers have spoken, and they like the karaoke machine much more than the dancing. So the strip club got a bit of a remodel and a rebrand. It is now called "Bats in a Hailstorm Karaoke Bar". It's in serious debt but at least the business went up a rank.
This is just some sims music I like, made into package files to use as custom loading music in The Sims 2.

Installation options
Option A: With Loading Randomizer 2 by greatcheesecakepersona.
Option B: With Custom loading screens and music plugin for Sims2RPC launcher (plugin by whoward69, Sims2RPC launcher by lazyduchess)
Option C: If you use none of the above, you will only be able to have one splash file installed at a time. Rename your chosen file to "Splash.package" and copy it to your latest expansion installation directory, in the corresponding "TSData/Res/Sound" folder. For example, if you have the Ultimate Collection, this goes in your Mansion and Garden Stuff Pack directory (.../Fun with Pets/SP9/TSData/Res/Sound).
I just noticed some sims (in ts2) yell "Barata! Barato!" when they are trying to get customers to leave, after a business has already closed. It made me laugh because they say it very clearly, and in Spanish "barato" or "barata" means "cheap".
It's called Paint Stripper, because that's the first nonsense pun that came to mind.
The building is kind of empty and dull, it will be more decorated as the business grows. The second floor has an office but it's empty for now. The layout of the place and the business owner are inspired by VTMB.
Technical ramble about how it works:
I used the visitor controller to only allow single women in the club and, while I know that's not realistic, I'd rather select which married sims are likely to visit the place on an individual basis. I'll have to figure out how to do that.
The dancing is done with a modded object I got from some adult cc website (I honestly don't remember what it was called, it's been like a decade). But so far no one was interested in the dancing, they all went straight for the karaoke machine and the bar. I'm not even sure they can react to the sims dancing since they are separated by a stage.
Made a vampire strip club for my custom neighborhood, and it needed a very attractive sign. Isn't it beautiful?
Edit: This is not an object I made. I just placed the Nightlife round neon lights and custom ones by PineappleForest and the High Rollers modding team.
