Time was half asleep, and Warriors was brushing his hair.
Twilight watched them and felt like he was missing something. It was always relaxing when Warriors brushed his hair. Everyone liked it when Warriors brushed their hair. He was good at avoiding painful snags and he always hummed something soft and the calluses on his hands were so different from Uli's but no less soothing. He was the only one able to brush Legend's hair and the only one allowed to cut Wild's.
When Warriors brushed Time's hair, it was like they were in their own little world. They whispered together in a language Twilight didn't understand, and Warriors hummed an unfamiliar tune.
Maybe it should have felt frustrating or disturbing, but it felt soothing. Those two always seemed to carry so much in their shoulders. At least they had these moments. Twilight didn't hold it against them none. He hoped they got some peace from it.
When they looked like they were wrapping up, Twilight grabbed his crystal and transformed into a familiar form. He wanted Warriors to brush him now, too.
Warriors hummed a familiar tune and Twilight howled merrily along. By the time they were done, Wolfie's coat was clean and Warriors and Time were breathless with laughter. It was a good night.

Mask was small, even if he was older than he appeared. He never said by how much. Warriors didn't ask. Mask didn't think of age like Hylians did. Certainly not like Hylian adults did. He didn't know the Hylians assigned rules to different ages and he didn't care enough about Hylian rules to learn.
Mask had been small and fit neatly into Warriors's arms during the War. For as much as he grumbled and insisted that he was a mature hero, it didn't stop him from crawling into Warriors's arms during the night and sleeping tucked safely under Warriors's chin. No one could harm him there.
Time was big. Certainly bigger than Warriors. Visibly more worn and older. He said the scar over his eye didn't really bother him, but it bothered the hell out of Warriors.
Time was big, but when push came to shove, he was still Warriors's little brother. He still fit in Warriors's arms, and Warriors leaned against a tree, Time's head heavy on his chest, Wind dozing against his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around Time and rested his head on Wind's, staring sleepily at the fire.
"Are you guys all right here?" Twilight asked quietly. He knelt down beside him, and his eyes shone oddly in the dark. How no one ever figured out he was Wolfie, Warriors would never know.
"Yeah," Warriors said quietly back. "Time's fever went down a bit. He should be okay."
Twilight frowned at him. He looked so much like a worried puppy that Warriors wished he had another arm so he could hold him. "Are you comfy? You don't look comfy."
Warriors smiled at him. Time snored against his chest, still a little stuffy from his cold. "I'm all good here. Thank you."
Mask was no longer small, but he still fit perfectly in Warriors's arms. He couldn't ask for more.

Why does it seem like Zelda content creators on YouTube are absolutely allergic to the possibility that the Wilds games could be at the end of the Downfall Timeline? It seems like the consensus is that it's only either Adult Timeline or a convergence of the 3 timelines, but never Downfall.
I understand the rock salt theories, but with EoW featuring rock salt as well, it doesn't seem to actually be exclusive to the AT.
The most convincing arguments for Downfall for me are:
🧚🏻♀️ Ganon's many resurrections and Calamities.
🧚🏻♀️ Master Sword pedestal is in the Lost Woods and not the ToT.
🧚🏻♀️ Shiekah culture didn't die out, and Impa is still around.
🧚🏻♀️ The Royal Knights bloodline is only unbroken in the DT. (I like to think the stripe on the brim of Link's hat symbolizes this as the heroes without the stripe have no blood relation to the Knight Family, needing Knights Crests and the training to fill those shoes.)
🧚🏻♀️ The Depths have too many similarities to both the concepts of The Underworld and The Dark World.
🧚🏻♀️ Goddess Statues made an appearance in Echoes of Wisdom seemingly under a state of repair.
🧚🏻♀️ The Imprisoning Wars are specific events that occur. (I'm personally convinced that alttp's retelling is a mix up of events of the actual Imprisoning War and OOT because a Ganondorf caused both the Calamities that sent Hyrule into ruin and losing their history.)
🧚🏻♀️ Doubled down on including DT specific enemies by bringing back Gleeoks and mean trees (alttp). Totaling Lynels, Hinox, Gleeok, and Evermean.
🧚🏻♀️ The Triforce is incredibly well hidden and completely forgotten about for the safety of the world. Implying a history of waaay too many close calls.
🧚🏻♀️ There's other Zora Kingdoms. (Originally revealed in the Oracle games)
🧚🏻♀️ Mount Hebra returns as a location with lots of caves. (Alttp)
🧚🏻♀️ Overall map best fits the DT maps of Hyrule the best without much rotation or headcanons. Including the alttp gimmicks of map layers and mirroring!
No map easter eggs or amiibo exclusive references, just my interpretation of the details we have in the games. I think it should be just as solid of a possibility that it's the end of the Downfall Timeline as any other timeline. I think it ties in nicely to its themes of cycles and rebirth.
#legend of zelda#i really like this idea#it fits#mind you I am a 'timeline converge' person#and blame Hyrule Warriors for that#but I still really like this idea

I think someone reached out to AO3 about this and they said to tag the fics with 'Link from [the game name written out]' to make finding fics with specific Links easier. Links Meet AU is another good tag for this concept too.
I admit I have wanted to find some of those Links Meet AUs for reading myself but because they get tagged with the au name for the Links I can seldom find them on AO3. 😔
Hey, Zelda fandom - it's time to learn something important regarding fanworks.
If the work (writing, art, gifset, whatever) has multiple Links from various games interacting with each other, it is not Linked Universe. Linked Universe is an AU fan comic/work by a specific person. It's not the fan term for multiple Link scenarios and it's time to correct this misinformation.
Multiple Links interacting in a fan work? Tag it as Multiple Links. Collective Link Scenario. Single Universe Crossover. And this goes double for AO3 works. Make it easier for all of us to fliter.

The tagging issue for LU and LoZ stuff is a big part of why I picked new names for my Links Meet AU. I thought about keeping them the same but realized that it would make it far too easy to mix it up... as it is the two names I kept but moved to different Links does mix it up a bit anyway. ^^;; Perhaps I should pick new names for those two.

The LU boys and superstitions
Once again, I was thinking about things I grew up with/ learned about and applying it to the boys. I might add the colors and dark link later, I just couldn't think of any for them rn
Tw: mentions death
Fierce
Oh, he's so old he probably has a bunch he follows
He never leaves an empty rocking chair rocking.
He keeps any hanging horse shoes hung right side up (ends up so it's able to hold the luck)
Fierce also believes in wishing on shooting stars
First
Throwing salt over your left shoulder after you spill it
He will NOT wash clothes or clean things on new years day
Refuses to walk under ladders
Covering mirrors when someone dies in a building (stops them from becoming stuck in the mirror)
Four
Horseshoe hung up so the luck won't fall out
Breaking mirros is bad luck to him
He dosen’t have a whole lot, he thinks most wide spread superstitions are common sense
Hyrule
Ooooo boy
Faerie boy? He has some.
I think he's probably a summer /seelie fae so he probably has some superstitions around harvest time
Bottle trees keep away haints/ghosts/spirits
If your ear rings someone is talking about you
He HATES all horseshoes (iron is BAD for the fae), but if he must be near one, he would like it to be right side up
Legend
Breaking mirrors is bad luck
Rocking an empty rocking chair? No thanks, he's not inviting unknown spirits or death.
He keeps a mirror outside his house to keep away evil/the devil/ (demise??)
He eats black eyed peas on new years
He sweeps out the back door (never the front and NEVER when it's dark outside)
Will ward off evil with the three finger sign I always saw
Stays away from cross roads at night
Ravio
If you thought Legend had a bunch, Ravio has more
He has all of the one Leged has ofc
He also believes walking under ladders is bad
He covers mirrors AND stops clocks if someone passes away in his home
Holds his breathe while passing a grave yard
He always goes out the same door he came in through
He believes death comes in threes
He only walk beside his loved ones when going around a post never letting it go between them
Probably has many more
Sky
Not that superstitious actually. He tries to avoid breaking mirrors but not much else
Isn't a huge fan of black cats, but that's more because of nighttime remlits than anything
Time
By the end of his first adventure he has none
The superstitions he had believed were proven false over the years
Tries not to break mirrors but that's because he hates broken glass
Will participate in superstitions if someone he cares about asks. He knows it's out of love
Twilight
He dosen’t like empty rocking chairs that are rocking
He has a horseshoe hung up in his room to keep away bad dreams
Not too superstitious at heart, but so many people in his town are that it is basically habit for him
Warriors
Knocks on wood to keep from jinxing himself
Dosen’t gift knives to loved ones because he dosen’t want to sever the relationship
Wild
He remembers a few but isn't too superstitious
Likes four leaf clovers for luck though!
And he dosen’t clean on new years
Wind
He will knock on wood
He also likes to pick up a green rupee for luck! (Originally a penny)
He also probably wants a luck rabbit's foot

Personally I love the concept of LU, and the comics are fun to read and build on. Yet I feel that what often happens in such a space is happening...
There are those who welcome and love all the new content while there are also those who loathe any depiction that is not their standard of how it should go. Sadly the kind voices are not as loud as the hostile ones. This seems likely to be a large part of why some despite loving LU are stepping away and making their own AUs instead.
All that to say I love your Links Meet comics and all your Zelda stuff. So even with you stepping back I fully support your choice and hope some day you will feel safe returning to the space fully.
I keep getting told how LU has hurt people in different ways and im all bummed out by it. It makes my heart ache that people cant find the space they need to be creative. Im gonna take some steps away from lu myself. No pressure to do so yourselves. All the love

So… I just finished reading In Which Wild Avoids Meeting the Gang by CuteButAlsoStabby on AO3, and I had a thought; why does everyone only do ‘the whole chain is thrown together over the course of a couple of weeks’ OR ‘the entire chain has been together for a while and then comes to BotW Hyrule and meet a feral arson baby’?
Don’t get me wrong! I love both of those fic tropes, but I was wondering, why do we never focus on someone else being last in the chain?
Like, Hyrule is just as feral.
Wind is a pirate, the chances of being dumped on his ship are very low, what if the gang end up fruitlessly trying to chase down a Pirate ship in order to get Wind to join them?
Legend has been on SIX adventures, and while I love the idea of him either slamming his door in their faces or just rolling with it like ‘What does Hylia need this time?’, it’s also funny to think of him noping out and leading the Chain on a wild goose-chase through Hyrule AND Labyrinia, Holodrum, Hytopia, the Drablands and maybe even Lorule.
Time stoicly trying to ignore the camp of loud teenagers outside his farm while he tries to do his chores for a couple days is a HILARIOUS concept to me, and Warriors avoiding the others by hiding all throughout castle town to avoid another inter-dimensional, likely highly traumatizing event, makes me wheeze!
Like, keep writing you Chain-Meets-Wild fics guys, they’re awesome! But how about the Chain meeting someone else every so often, please?

Let's talk about fight scenes.
Writing fight scenes requires a delicate balance of action, emotion, and detail to keep readers engaged and immersed in the moment.
Here are some tips to craft compelling fight scenes:
Know your characters: Understand their fighting styles, strengths, and weaknesses—are they offensive, or defensive? Spontaneous, or strategic? Trigger-happy, or reluctant? Their personalities and motivations will influence their actions and decisions during the fight.
Create tension: Build tension leading up to the fight to increase the stakes and make the action more gripping. Foreshadowing, verbal sparring, or physical intimidation can all contribute to a sense of anticipation.
Use sensory details: Engage the reader's senses by describing the sights, sounds, smells, and physical sensations of the fight. This helps to create a vivid and immersive experience—but make sure not to overdo it. Too much detail can distract from the adrenaline of the fight.
Maintain clarity: Ensure that the action is easy to follow by using clear and concise language. Avoid overly complicated sentences or excessive description that could confuse readers.
Focus on emotions: Show the emotional impact of the fight on your characters. Describe their fear, anger, determination, or adrenaline rush to make the scene more compelling and relatable.
Include strategic elements: Incorporate tactics, strategy, and improvisation into the fight to make it more dynamic and realistic. Think about how your characters use their surroundings, weapons, or special abilities to gain an advantage.
Balance dialogue and action: Intersperse dialogue with action to break up the fight scene and provide insight into the characters' thoughts and intentions. Dialogue can also reveal or support the characters' personalities and motivations.
Keep it concise: While it's important to provide enough detail to immerse readers in the action, avoid unnecessary padding or overly long fight scenes. Keep the pacing brisk to maintain momentum and keep readers hooked.
Show the consequences: Illustrate the aftermath of the fight, including injuries, emotional trauma, or changes in relationships between characters. This adds depth to the scene and helps to drive the story forward.
Hope this helped ❤

Hey Stranger! Someone shared your old thing about Maglor with feathers in his hair, and there's a link to your other Maglor headcanons?
I was intrigued, but your link doesn't work anymore. Do those still exist?
Its been a like eight years i realize, so i apologize for just walking into your inbox like this!
Hope you have a good day.
Thank you for reaching out. Sorry for not replying until just now.
That link was to an old role playing blog I had. ^^; I do still have some of those ideas but largely the old ideas have faded, as you said it has been eight years.
Sorry for not really being able to give you more information on it, and again thank you for reaching out and asking about it anyway.
