From intimate Italian restaurants to hip, modern cafes, there's a place for you. No matter what the occasion, these San Luis Obispo restaurants will provide a memorable dining experience. The following are some of our favorites:
Old San Luis BBQ: This quaint, laid-back barbecue spot is popular with locals and college students alike. Its menu is simple but delicious, with dishes like tri-tip, pulled pork, chicken, and salads. If you're on a tight budget, try ordering your meal through a delivery service. GrubHub, Doordash, Uber Eats, and Food Jets all work with the Old San Luis BBQ's delivery service.
Novo Restaurant & Lounge: Located on the banks of San Luis Obispo Creek, Novo is the perfect place for an intimate date night. A quaint dining room with twinkling lights invites you to spend time with your special someone. Executive Chef Ben Richardson uses fresh local ingredients to create his delicious Asian-fusion menu. You can enjoy a drink or two at the full-service bar. To get more detailed info on Best Restaurants in San Luis Obispo, visit on hyperlinked site.

Carrisa: Located downtown, this restaurant was originally called Slo Brew. It was originally located on Garden Street but was recently moved to Higuera Street. One of the original owners, supermodel Kathy Ireland, had a place here. The restaurant is now owned by the Madonna family. The menu is extensive, so try something new. And while you're there, don't forget to share your dinner with your significant other.
Luna Red: A sister restaurant of Novo, Luna Red features Spanish-inspired fare in the heart of downtown SLO. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating and is adjacent to the Mission de Tolosa. The space also accommodates up to 49 people. Luna Red features daily specials, such as Taco Tuesday and Oyster Wednesday. Luna Red is open Thursday nights after the Farmers Market.
