So, this. This right here. A part of this is in my own world as well. That’s why most characters wear scarves in my AU, because they’ve been made with the love and care the maker had for them, usually worn by married monsters, or those with a very close attachment to their parents. Sometimes even their siblings.
It is uncommon to find a monster in Frightale without a scarf on, but fairly sad when you do. They’re almost never happy. And it likely means they aren’t cared for, or don’t have anybody for such.
Of course, that isn’t ALWAYS the case, and I’m glad to see this headcannon is shared by others as well.
Here. Have a headcanon.
Intent is exceptionally important in monster society. It defines the difference between play fighting and true combat. It’s infused into the food they prepare, imbuing it with healing (or toxic) properties. It’s even knit into the very fabric of their clothing. Every stitch, every fold is infused with the intent of the monster making it. A skilled fabricator can even create clothing that boosts a monster’s stats, though this clothing is exceptionally expensive—particularly in the Fell-verses.
Sans isn’t quite that skilled…but while he’s making his brother’s battle body, he reflects on how much he cares for his brother, how much he wants him to be happy and healthy and safe. His love seeps into the costume as he makes it, and when Papyrus puts it on, he can sense his brother’s love and care. It makes him feel protected, cared for. It makes him feel special.
He can’t bring himself to take it off, in fact. Can’t bear to be parted from the reminder of just how much his brother cares.

Can you please do that it would be good to know more on the AU ^-^
I'll be working on that soon, then. If you have any specific questions in mind in the meantime, I'll be happy to answer them.Unleesssss it spoils something specific what I have planned for the comic. But on that scale, it should be just fine.

OKAY
Because Tumblr doesn't seem to want me posting picture-things here for some reason (I'm sure I'll find a way to fix the issue soon), I have a question-
Should I tell about some details for the AU that won't be mentioned in the comic..? Like, as multiple, small text posts dedicated soully to little details and special things like how differently magic really works here, the humans above ground, ect. Would anyone here like that??
Also- working on the story in text, not just comic. Will post that slowly too, as I figure out what the gimminey willickers is wrong with my Tumblr apps.
