no but actually while it's on my mind. main-verse hc that laura and max weren't childhood friends , but they grew up in the same town and ran in adjacent circles. like , they didn't really know each other , but they knew of each other. went to the same middle & high school but outside of a couple of classes didn't really interact until their friend groups overlapped a bit in junior/senior year. they got together laaaaate senior year , and it's a bickering point for the two of them because max insists that it technically makes them high school sweethearts, and laura is adamant that that doesn't count.
