( satomi ishihara. thirty. she/her. ) we spotted NAOMI FURUKAWA  around toledo today, just another gear in the machine of the apocalypse. i heard she is a TECHNICIAN for AILTON TOWER. i guess it fits, seeing as she’s known to be + intrepid & + dedicated, as well as - reticent & - short tempered. they often have you’ve got the love by florence + the machine stuck in their head while they work. i wonder if they’re prepared for what’s coming?

BEFORE

tanaka nozomi and naomi furukawa may inhabit the same body but they are vastly different people.

born in tokyo, japan the nozomi before naomi was a young girl who still idealized love and marriage, and the happiness of life 

she also grew up with the belief that she could do anything, unfortunately her tenacity was the only thing that survived her family’s move to new york

her parents marriage couldn’t survive the stress of the move and they divorced soon after and naomi was left stuck between two worlds and two households 

she felt she had to take care of her younger sibling while her parents used her as a conduit to fight through 

she resolved to prove herself to everyone and invested all of her energy into school and working, she wasn’t one for making friends well 

she idealized the perfect nuclear family and eventually she would get it

it seemed like she had achieved everything she ever dreamed. despite her tumultuous upbringing she was a successful journalist on a national news network, married to her husband kai, whom she’d met on a business trip to japan, and had a beautiful daughter named hana 

her life was finally in the perfect working order she coveted, then the apocalypse came and it all went to hell 

AFTER 

though she tried her hardest to protect them, kai and hana were killed shortly after the infection began in an act of senseless violence

naomi was completely broken by the loss of her husband and daughter, she thinks it’s some cruel cosmic joke she’s managed to stay alive along as she has 

now in ailton tower she works as a technician and does a lot of the radio broadcasting for the tower using the skills her husband, an engineer taught her, and her past as a journalist 

she’s very reserved, keeps to herself, and plays by the rules at all times. she’s like your cool grandma who takes no shit. she has a perfectionist streak and comes off a little (a lot) uptight. she’s definitely a princess and i love her for it. she’s just got that mom friend gene. 

i’m just word vomiting at this point i’ll revise it eventually
