the episode "kyle" is actually really good at showing how so many men don't view women as people, only prizes to be won, and they interpret any attention as romantic interest. sam was so happy and excited to meet kyle because she wanted someone who finally understood what she was going through, and genuinely happy to make a new friend, but in spite of the deep bond and connection she made with him almost immediately, that wasn't enough for him. she was a happily married woman, who didn't flirt or really show any interest in him aside from platonically but he thought his emotions were more important and made a pass at her anyways. he felt entitled to sam's affection because they had something in common, which you can see often with "nerds" or other men who consider themselves outcasts, which kyle kind of was because of his ability. in this essay I will-

I think someone on the subreddit had a theory that Kyle was gonna be wornking for Elias or him in disguise bc apparently demon can appear in human form to ppl since the finale might have Jay making a “deal” to save his restaurant

honestly i wouldn't be surprised. apparently he will be sowing discord between sam and jay, but if that's intentional or not remains to be seen. it feels more likely that kyle is a plant by elias than joan, just bc to me seeing ghosts is a very rare thing, and something abt his story feels off to me...
