Grow your hair naturally
There are many different ways to naturally grow out your hair without using chemicals or vitamins or any other boosters to make the growth speed up wine ancient method that many people use is fermented rice water.
This comes from a small village of Chinese women that uses the rice water to grow their hair and they have record length hair down to their feet with some of the longest recorder being six feet. The women in the tribe only cut their hair once in their lives on the eighteenth birthday.
Rice water has many benefits of not only growing your hair but Nurturing your skin health as well. It can be used as a face wash or a toner.
When you use the rice water it causes your hair to feel very soft and moisturized after you use it because the starches in the rice help soak into your hair follicles.Rice water is thicker than regular water so it allows it to feel more so oily rather than watery when you apply it to your hair.
Another way to grow your hair naturally is doing a honey and cinnamon masks in your hair. The cinnamon allows your scalp to be stimulated in the honey allows your hair to grow in strength and get rid of dry and brittle ends.
A third way to stimulate your hair grow naturally is to use olive oil as a regular moisturizer for your hair. It helps your hair to lock moisture and keep styles better so you will not feel as if your hair is so dry in the winter time and moisturize hair grows.

My curly hair routine
It has taken me a long time to get comfortable with my hair myself so to be able to share the knowledge that I do have is a blessing.
I know how long it took my mother to figure out how to do my hair and I am grateful to share the ides and solutions that I have found on the way.
I am also going to continue to post videos on my platform on a more consistence basis to help those around me.
I also chose to use cheaper products to make it more accessible for anyone with curly hair to figure out an affordable and healthy way to style their hair.
Often times people with curly hair find it hard to find cheaper and safer products for their hair. I also chose to include the oils and things that I use to promotor hair growth as well.
My YouTube channel has several other videos like this and I plan on posting more in the near future. I have been working more on my editing and filming skills so the videos will come out much better with even clear instructions.

Straight hair y’all
Good evening world this is late night entry stating my incredible best friend. Like many other black women do when cold weather come she has straighten her hair. Now you might ask my black women tend to wait until it’s cold to switch up their hair from its natural state to straightened.
We tend too wait because Our hair styles and treatments for straightening last better and last longer in the winter time. The main reason for this is because when it is hot outside black womens heads sweat from the thickness of our hair and the sweat begins to revert our hair back to its natural texture even if we don’t want it too.
This is also the reason why black women don’t get their hair wet that often as well. The amount of time it takes on average for most black women to straighten their hair is at least two hours. Humidity is the number one evil “once that humidity hit my hair it’s over with”.
All Black women find keeping their hair straight when its natural or not chemically changed which i why so many women used to chemically straighten their hair in the past.

Discrimination Staion
As I have mentioned in my blog several times before black women’s hair has constantly been criticized and look down upon throughout our history of wearing it. In recent years this discrimination has even been subjected to members of the military.
Many black women in the military are often told it there hairstyles are not appropriate and against dress code. Many of the styles that are against military dress code are protective styles for black women’s hair.
These styles are often used to protect them from over manipulation and breakage. Women of my family who have been in the military have suffered Hair loss on the nape of the neck from being forced to wear the up to dress code buns in their hair.
When Black women consistently wear their hair in one style over a certain period of time it causes they’re here to break in certain sections specifically where their ponytail holders are placed. Before 2017 there were bans on deadlocks, braids, and twists in the military under the clause “Army Regulation 670-1”.
“Black women serving in the United States Army are cheering revised regulations that permit hair locks, ending what critics said were years of scrutiny and confusing enforcement of rules about their appearance.” Christopher Mele New York Times
“We understood there was no need to differentiate between locks, cornrows or twists as long as they all met the same dimension,” he said, according to The Northwest Guardian, a publication of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State. “Females have been asking for a while, especially females of African-American descent, to be able to wear dreadlocks and locks because it’s easier to maintain that hairstyle.”
The pain of discrimination against black hair goes much deeper than just the impact that it has on the military. You can find out more about the harsh impact in article that I have found here.
“But the hatred of black hair goes beyond ignorant comments. In fact, embracing natural hair can lead some women and men to lose their jobs or face punishment at school.” Areva Martin who is a writer for the times and a Los Angeles based lawyer.

Christopher Mele New York Times

Versatility of Black Hair
The last time that I straighten my hair last spring break. I typically go from 6 months to a year of no heat in between each time that i straighten my hair. Black women very versatile here it is often confused that we don’t.My fro takes about 3 1/2 hours to straighten out every time that I treat it out which is why I don’t do so that often. From the time that I was younger I remember getting my hair straightened. I remember sitting on the floor for hours waiting on my mother to finish this daunting task. Something that I have in my childhood pictures is that most of my major events in life my hair is straight.I believe that this has to do with the thinking that black hair is not acceptable or deemed professional. Although I do not believe this is true many people in society still hold this as fact. Which is why you often see black women straightening or changing their hair to fit into a professional setting. But in all honesty black people have some of the most diverse and most versatile hair types. I am appreciative of every kink and curl in my head, but it is nice to have a change of look and be able to switch it up every now and then.
