I need everyone to consciously process that Dou Dou is calling Wu Suowei 舅媽 (jiu ma) which isn't 'aunt/aunty' in the generic way that 阿姨 (a-yi) is, but is the specific term used to address your mother's younger brother's wife.

So when his sister gives Chi Cheng a look after asking '舅媽?' and he nods, that's him confirming to her what his intensions are to Wu Suowei - this is the person Chi Cheng intends to marry. This is Chi Cheng making it absolutely clear that Wu Suowei is not another one of his flings or short-term partners. This is serious.

And I adore the way Wu Suowei checks that Chi Cheng is okay with this before he wholeheartedly embraces it. He specifically refers to himself as 舅媽 when he says "your uncle (舅舅) and I (舅媽) will visit you" which is his own overt way of confirming to Chi Cheng's sister that they're on the same page. Like gender norms be damned, Wu Suowei will stand by his man and make it clear that he's proud to be his partner.
