So I guess when I noticed some of my posts had been marked sensitive it was related to “the Tumblr purge” that’s currently going on.

I don’t plan on leaving unless I’m forced to by undue banning or site shutdown. However, unlike most people posting alternate sites, I don’t use my Twitter or Instagram. I’ll always be on deviantART (even if I don’t post, I still check my messages), since I’ve been on that site for 15 years. I’m on Discord too, since I belong to a few servers (even if I hardly interact with anyone). I also have my own Discord server for my Frozen stuff. I can’t think of any other sites/services I use regularly.

Personally, I think this whole situation is hilarious. I always knew that one day Tumblr would jump the shark, I just didn’t think it would be in an overzealous effort to save themselves. Don’t get me wrong, all that adult content won’t be missed on my end. However, I’ve had my own stuff incorrectly flagged as well as seen other people’s posts showing their stuff incorrectly flagged, so I’m not surprised that a lot of people are simply leaving, rather than trying to go through their entire post history to find and fix anything incorrectly marked sensitive.

This is a scene that can fit into any of my Frozen fanworks. It most closely aligns with the alternate ending of Frozen: Fire and Fury. It could also easily happen in Frozen: Threads of Legacies (post Frozen 2: Legends and Legacies, of course), as well as occur in the unwritten future of Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness (Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness - Past the Present Time).

My second commission by @itty-bitties-posts. This time it’s Leone and Elsa!

This type of scene fits two of my Frozen fan-works: Frozen: Threads of Legacies (after the events of Frozen 2: Legends and Legacies, of course) and Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness - Past the Present Time (the eventual sequel to Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness). Well, technically three fan-works, as it could also fit Frozen: Fire and Fury (where a potential relationship is vaguely hinted at in the old outline and the new script’s alternate ending).

I didn’t initially intend to pair Leone and Elsa, but it grew on me over time as I developed my OCs/FCs and realized these two have quite a bit in common: eldest royal sibling (though Leone basically punted the monarchy, something he still feels guilty about), nearly killed their respective younger sisters (though Leone’s incident was less accidental than Elsa’s (more guilt!)), and uninterested in romance (until they (eventually) are, heh heh). There’s more, and some interesting contrasts as well, but that delves into my own expansion of Elsa’s character (and is more than I care to type at this time).

The drawing ended up fitting Frozen: Threads of Legacies better than my other Frozen fan-works (Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness and Frozen: Fire and Fury). In F:ToL (much of which is the Rovero and Westergaard backstory alluded to in Frozen 2: Legends and Legacies), Hans and Natalia meet as royal teens, before the events of Frozen (vs. F:SaF and F:FaF, where they meet post- Frozen Fever and long after the Roveros gave up their wealth and monarchy).

Musings on my ‘Frozen’-related endeavors...

So I think I burned myself out on Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness when I pushed myself to write four chapters in about a month. (Reason being that I wanted to get the climax reveal chapter done before I went back to work from maternity leave.) I’ve been stuck on chapter 21 since October. I know what needs to happen, I’m just having difficulty writing it satisfactorily. I tried getting a beta reader in the meantime, but that fizzled out. (Mostly because I have difficulty staying in contact with FF.net people since I’m hardly ever on my computer. I need someone who will edit in Google Docs but stay in touch via an app like Tumblr, Line, Discord, etc.)

In the meantime, I’ve come up with a plot for another Frozen 2 script / screenplay titled Frozen 2: Legends and Legacies (or F2:LaL for short). It pulls some ideas from Frozen: Fire and Fury, but most things have changed. For example, Elsa doesn’t lose her powers, there’s a new villain with a plan that requires gathering members of certain royal bloodlines, and Zuri joins the heroes because she’s searching for Subira (who’s been kidnapped by the villain). I definitely think I can make F2:LaL less Hans-focused than F:FaF while still giving Hans his redemption.

I also have a spin-off planned for it already, titled Frozen: Threads of Legacies (or F:ToL for short). It would be either a comic or series of short stories about various characters before, during, and after the events of F2:LaL. Of course, the screenplay would need to be finished first, and that means figuring out the secondary characters I only have vague ideas for before I even start writing. It’s tough to find time to do much of anything creative, though, between work and family.
