Getting reached out to by Austin of all people surprised Alex, as he truly didn't expect it. They ran into each other a few times and unlike Henry first meeting, Austin came off as a bit out of it. He always seemed in his own world and as if he didn't want to be there, but he couldn't even put on the prince-like demeanor that Henry did with royal duties. So that alone because something Alex was drawn to about him. So he didn't hesitate to drop everything and lead a hand or ear, whatever was needed.

As soon as Alex got there and they were sitting on the couch for a bit just holding each other (mostly Alex holding Austin) it was making him start to really worry. He's never see the other so broken and vulnerable. It was a new sight. When the embrace broke, and Austin stood and paced, Alex fought the urge to do the same, instead sitting with his hands together, twiddling his thumbs as he watched the blonde walk back and forth for a moment before he spoke. When the words left him, it broke Alex's heart. "Are you saying - you have to go back to being a royal?" He asked curiously with furrowed brows and a deeply considered look on his face.

——- The moment he read the text from his sister, austin's whole world changed and it felt like everything was crumbling around him. it was like he was being crushed by the growing pressure to be something he never could be — in a place he wasn't fully welcome as his full authentic self. however — he couldn't sit with this alone, so the blond reached out to the one person he trusted the most aside from his sister, and friend from back in london. now at least he wasn't alone, but the brit was still a mess. his breathing was shaky, his eyes were red and a bit puffy, tears still stained his cheeks with more threatening to fall. standing from where they sat together letting out a heavy sigh before pacing some, fingers tangling in his natural blond locks — pulling some at the strands. ❝ i love my family — and i miss them, dearly. — but how can i just — go back to everything after so long ? after i was made to leave ? i just — ❞ his voice trailed off as he froze in place, closing his eyes and letting himself re-think things.

"Sorry it's been a moment since we properly hung out last - classes are a lot before holiday breaks, you know." Alex informed as he joined his company with a soft grin and a coffee in hand. "Forever thanking you and Henry for making sure I take care of myself and not over do it, by the way." He noted, always grateful for having such amazing people in his life. Taking a sip of his coffee before offering a more friendly and less tired looking smile. "So, what shall we do while we finally have time together. There was no way he'd pull away, so he let Henry guide them outside, a soft grin on his face the whole time. Alex was just so in love with this man, he could die. As they got outside and he felt the breeze of a slightly chilly windy, not effecting him too much due to how he was dressed, he chuckled some as the reached the hammock and sat down together.

Pulling his boyfriend close to him, gently kissing his lips in a soft sweet yet loving manner before pulling away with a bashful smile. "It's very calming, you're not wrong, babe. Though - I'll argue when it's starting to snow," he laughed a bit. Enjoying a nice day together, just the two of them and David - what more could Alex ask for?

——- When their hands touched, henry gave alex's hand a gently firm squeeze before pulling his boyfriend into a soft gentle loving kiss. ❝  just — come with me, sweetheart. ❞  he spoke in a soft warm tone before gently leading them towards the back of the house. gently opening the back door with one hand, david rushing over at the sound of the door and stepping out with them. there was a bit of a breeze, but henry was dressed warmly as was alex for the day. shutting the back door once they were both out — leading him to the hammock in the back and gently pulling alex down to sit with him before. gently moving his free hand through the soft dark brown curls of his boyfriend's hair, something henry never got tired of touching. his hair was always so soft to the touch, and rather calming to the prince, surely as much as it was to the other. ❝  i feel it's calming to just come out here sometimes and appreciate nature some. don't you ? ❞
