In a normal circumstance, I hate Netflix. However, they struck a deal to produce new episodes of Sesame Street and will ensure that the episodes remain free and accessible on PBS for all kids and for that, they deserve gratitude.
Additionally, unlike the deal previous struck with HBO, this one with Netflix also makes its so new episodes are simultaneously available via Netflix, PBS, and the PBS Kids app.
Please continue to support Sesame Street and all the other PBS programming via donations to ensure everyone, kids and adults alike, continue to have access to educational viewing.

Re: Blocking people
I think for your own mental health you should block people who are just going to bother you. But you can also softblock people (block and then unblock. The result is that they don't follow you anymore but can still interact with posts in the wild). In any case just take care of yourself 👍
I guess you’re right. Just, this person left tags on this post that were talking about how “oh there were record deportations under biden” or something like that, and I just got so annoyed and I lost control… then I immediately felt regret and thought maybe I’d been too hasty. I dunno, it just doesn’t seem right of me to revoke access to this blog for someone being thick. Was I being cruel? I need to know if I was, it’s important.

”they’ll get over it” no we’ll get sicker and die people really act like this stuff is just a minor inconvenience cause they can’t fathom or accept needing to rely on it to live ridiculous remember to call who you have to and do what you have to do let’s try to fix this
When the U.S. House last month approved cutting Medicaid by $793 billion over the next 10 years, the Kentucky Hospital Association issued a surprisingly upbeat statement thanking the Kentucky Republicans who voted for the legislation, especially Rep. Brett Guthrie of Bowling Green.
Guthrie had used his clout as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee to protect a Medicaid funding stream that Kentucky hospitals say is critical to their survival.
That funding stream now is at risk in the U.S. Senate, which is proposing even steeper cuts than the House to the federal-state program that pays for 1 in 3 Kentuckians’ health care.
If proposals from the Senate Finance Committee become law, “you’ll have hospitals closed, services eliminated and 20,000 jobs eliminated” in Kentucky, warns Nancy Galvagni, president and CEO of the Kentucky Hospital Association.
“We’re encouraging our senators to support the House language on state directed payments,” Galvagni said Tuesday in an interview.
While Republican senators from some states are voicing worries similar to those of Kentucky hospitals, Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell had a different message for Senate Republicans in a closed meeting Tuesday, reports Punchbowl News.
“I know a lot of us are hearing from people back home about Medicaid. But they’ll get over it,” McConnell was reported as saying.

i don’t know how to explain to you people that no matter what a country’s government is like i do not and will not support the US indiscriminately bombing that country’s civilians and i don’t know why that’s a controversial take tbh

I was teaching kids today and they got fixated on the usual ‘are they dead now?’ question when I was talking about historical figures. So I was just like ‘Yes, they’re dead now, everyone who was alive in the 1800s is dead now.’ and then one kid was like ‘Except for you’.

"There's no platonic explanation for this!!" said about something that there would be an obvious platonic explanation for if society hadn't convinced everyone that platonic relationships were less intimate and inherently inferior to romantic relationships.

as a severely mentally ill 14 year old, I remember thinking “the medical system would treat me better if I was physically ill and not mentally ill” and then I coincidentally developed multiple chronic illnesses and found out that actually they dgaf even when you’re essentially bedridden

It's important to show that you care. Fuck being nonchalant. Text first, send multiple messages in a row. Tell them what they mean to you, be honest about how you feel. Tell your friends that you love them. Love is a gift that can be given away freely, by anyone and to anyone. Show that you care.

tried growing out my hair but no one tells you how much ponytails hurt how is anyone expected to deal with this why didn’t the girls with long hair I knew warn me this fucking hurts it’s in my eyes or it’s up and tugging at my skull how do you do a pony tail that doesn’t work I miss my buzz cut I miss not shedding so much damn hair I miss not using so much shampoo and conditioner how does anyone do this this hurts so bad maybe I just have a sensitive scalp or something but fucking hell man somebody give me some tips it’s bad enough people r makin fun of me and mistaking me for a girl over my hair(and refusing to correct themselves because now every person on the street who has long hair is trans or something I guess? Fuck this transvesigation shit and fuck the egg comments rude as hell) but it has to hurt on top of all that??
Why does it hurts so bad all the time how do I get it to stop hurting in and out of a ponytail
what do you do when you’re hair is super fucking dry like submerge it in water and it acts hydrophobic I can’t brush it when it’s wet the brush gets stuck type of dry also I can’t brush it when it’s dry it fluffs up real bad
nobody ever taught me how to take care of my hair cause I’m a boy and my parents consider that stuff girly shit fuck them but also now that I grew out my hair I have no idea what to do!!! And I’m looking it up but that’s not helping there’s so many different answers!! They all contradict each other!!!
this is so confusing!!! This is confusing!!!!! I need someone to come rant or infodump to me about hair tell me what I’m doing wrong I might buzz it anyway I probably will honestly but I want to at least take decent care of it while it’s still long
also I don’t want comments about forcefem or egg comments or stuff about how long hair looks better on men I’m not comfortable with that and I’m going to do what I want with my hair it doesn’t matter what anybody thinks plus I don’t vibe with femininity or the pretty boy type stuff plus egg comments are just plain rude and you really shouldn’t joke about something like a fetish or certain kind of presentation unless you know the other person is ok with it people have preferences with this stuff you could make people really uncomfortable
maybe I should finally just give up and go to a actual barber i havnt gotten a haircut in ages this all blows

part of the reason I think it’s so sad that we collectively write so few stories about unrequited love is bc I feel like there’s very little public acknowledgment of how much it sucks to be the one somebody is in unrequited love with??? and not in a way of like, oh they’re crossing boundaries or putting expectations on me or whatever. becoming close friends with someone and then finding out they’re in love with you and you don’t love them back the same way is heartbreaking, bc a) someone you love is in pain and there is literally nothing you can do about it, and b) it usually means that whether you like it or not there’s going to be distance in your friendship that wasn’t there before as they try to get over you. idk man I just feel like we’ve all discussed the tragedy of loving someone who doesn’t love you back quite a lot and very rarely discuss the tragedy of finding out the way that you love someone just isn’t enough.
