if you're american and your position is that, up until 1962 you would've been against gay sex entirely, and in some states up until 2003. Up until the 1970s you would've been A-okay with marital rape, in some states until 1993. In Iowa, it doesn't count as rape if the 12 year old child is married to the rapist. Other states have similar laws. And this is just the oh so civilized united states, where slowly but surely "existing while queer" is being turned into a crime again.
