This blog is dedicated to all the Zelda games in the Downfall timeline. This includes the original Legend of Zelda ( which we refer to and tag as it's japanese subtitle "The Hyrule Fantasy" ), Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Oracle of Ages, A Link Between Worlds, and on rare occasions, Ocarina of Time. Sometimes I'll post art that is not specific to any Zelda game but feels reminiscent to the downfall game styles. I am a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda, and have been since I borrowed Ocarina of Time from a friend and reserved my copy of the wind waker. I didn't get a chance to play many of the classics until around the time the Wii Virtual Console became a thing. I fell in love with the older games. Around the time of Skyward Sword's release, I became pretty involved in the Zelda fandom, but started to get frustrted at the lack of classic zelda fan art. Not only that but the fans in general gave off the vibe that the older games were obsolete garbage. I became very disenchanted with the fandom. So I made a blog dedicated to the first four Zelda games, and those games alone. Eventually, A Link Between Worlds was announced, and the Oracles games were released on 3DS Virtual console, giving me a chance to play them for the first time. After that, I decided to expand this blog to include all games from the downfall timeline. And here we are now. My prayers for a new classic inspired Zelda were answered when they announced a Link Between Worlds, but we can always use more. After all, I believe topdown Zelda and 3D Zelda offer different experiences that appeal to different people... I happen to like both. So don't mistake my passion for classic Zelda as contempt for Modern Zelda. I have legitimate likes and dislikes about every Zelda game, even my favorites. I won't lie and say I don't have more passion for classic than I do modern, but there are more than enough passionate modern zelda fans to go around. As you can...

I always liked the anime illustrations in the original NES Zelda manual, and it saddened me to find out these weren’t actually part of a real animated promotion for the game. So I decided to take those illustrations and re-create them as if they were!
Enjoy this long-lost VHS promotion for the Legend of Zelda on the Nintendo Entertainment System!

An article from FamiMaga #7, Feb '86 of 'The Legend Of Zelda', with some early screeshots. Here you can see The Triforce is "Power Triangle", and the dungeon is called "Moon" rather than a generic name.

Never thought I would ever hate wizzrobes this much, but they are now my number one least favorite enemy thanks to this game. Dark nuts are my second least favorite cause they are just as annoying to kill.

Finished the game yesterday!!! Still a little salty that the icerod was in a random ass cave instead of an actual dungeon item. Had to run all the way back out of the dungeon picked up a couple items I was missing along with the ice rod came back to the dungeon then beat Trinexx in one attempt.
