My Pokemon head canon is that if you were holding an Aron and she wanted to go down she would do the little cat thing where they wiggle until they leap out of your arms gracefully except Aron is made mostly out of solid steel and would land with the impact tungsten cube, dent the floor, cause permanent structural damage to the foundation, and then stand up and happily trot along like she didn't do anything

my brother was making fun of me and our other brother for having the same haircut, and we were immediately like "what the fuck are you talking about? you had this EXACT SAME haircut like a year ago. this is your haircut too. jackass." so we start arguing back and forth until our mom stops us and says "come here." and she brings out her ID from when she was a teenager and... its the same haircut.

Do you think Dick finds comfort and solace in the fact that Slade is enhanced and his aging is decelerated? There's a very little chance he will die before his time, which is still years and years away. He will outlive Dick for sure. Dick doesn't really need to worry about losing Slade at all – the man is capable, his healing ability puts him back together quick, there's nothing much changing in his looks over the years they've been together, so Dick doesn't really think of Slade aging alongside him at all.

The passage of time can only be measured by Dick's greying hair and wrinkles slowly forming all over him; people finally stopping assuming they're father and son in public; Slade's face creasing every time he notices the changes.

But Dick doesn't have to worry and it's such a relief. He feels a lot of guilt about it. After all, being left behind is worse of the two. And yet... he could always be selfish in his relationship with Slade – one of very few where he can let go and just be – so he lets himself be selfish in this peace of mind too.
