Show and Tell: Childhood Experience
Tumblr media
These are my two siblings. I chose this pic because we are cute in this picture and we don't seem to be fighting with each other. Sometimes they are so naughty that's why I scold them but my younger sister has an attitude and answers me as if she is older than me. And the only boy is so snobbish. Sometimes he looks at me angry even though I did nothing. They are caring and sweet siblings to me. I want them to be strong like me.

Hyperrealism: Many Faces of Society
Hyperrealism is the young art form of creating illusions by enhancing reality. Artists of this genre take their works beyond purely photographic quality by placing added focus on visual, social, and cultural details of everyday life.
My preparation for this pic is I take picture with sad eyes and black filter.

Adele 30 Reaction/ Review
On November 19, 2021. Adele’s song album titled “30” was released, and it is her fourth album with melted stone and Columbia Records. Adele’s divorce, motherhood, and the scrutiny of fame are all addressed in the “30” Album, which includes pop, jazz, and soul ballads with themes of heartache, acceptance, and hope. Although I am not a fan of Adele, some of her songs are satisfying. When I’m sad or broke, I always listen to Adele’s music.
My first favorite song by Adele is “Cry Your Heart Out”. I remember in this song how much I struggled with anxiety. Sometimes you want someone to talk when you’re down but you can’t talk so you just side with yourself. Every night the breakdown that I experience because of what comes to my mind.
My second favorite song by Adele is “Easy On Me”. I remember this song everytime my parents get angry at me. They are always angry at me even though I'm doing my best to be the best daughter in their eyes. That’s why I don’t know what to do so that my parents would not be angry.
My third favorite song by Adele is “Love is a Game”. I remember this song saying how much I love the man I knew was just fooling me. I promise to myself that no one can fool me but there’s a guy with a flowery tongue that's why I love him.

Movie Reflection
Prayers for Bobby
To cut a long story short, Mary's efforts bear little fruit. And it quickly becomes clear that, while Bobby's family is very loving, love alone will not be able to mend the schism between Bobby and the rest of the Griffiths. Bobby finds solace in his gorgeous, free love, and supporting cousin, Jeannette, as he feels further estranged by his increasingly prison-like existence under his parents' roof. Jeannette persuades Bobby to spend some time away from his family by inviting him to visit her hometown of Portland for two months. Bobby meets Jeannette's friend David (played by the exceedingly attractive Scott Bailey), with whom he had a brief but passionate encounter. Bobby returns home to his family only to declare his plans to relocate to Portland and his newfound love for David. Mary rejects her son in a very traumatic scenario, sending Bobby away in tears, reeling from the rejection. Everything appears to be going well until Bobby, distressed by an allegedly unfaithful boyfriend and the lack of parental support, commits himself by leaping from a highway bridge into oncoming traffic. The suicide scene was unsettling to see, especially given the fact that these events did occur, as well as the obvious Christian symbolism in Bobby's Christ-like position as he fell to his death. Bobby's death is abrupt and early in the film, but his life was as well. The rest of the film depicts the Griffith family's sadness, with each member grieving in their own unique way. When Bobby's older brother Ed receives the news, he gets aggressive, and his younger sister Joy seems to close in on herself in the months to follow. Mary is the one who takes Bobby's death the hardest, searching for solutions that will ensure Bobby's place in the afterlife. She seeks answers from a preacher of the gay-friendly Metropolitan Community Church after questioning her faith. Mary then finds her activist footing and embarks on a long crusade to alleviate LGBT youth's suffering at the hands of their parents and churches. While the film's actual text may have easily been didactic and overwhelming, the actors' superb portrayals, particularly those of Weaver and Kelley, give the conversation a ring of truth. Scott Bailey's well-intentioned but clumsy portrayal of Bobby's lover David was the only performance I found weak. On screen, I didn't think Bailey and Kelley had a lot of connection, which made me wonder about the later scenes between the mourning boyfriend and his mother. There aren't enough words to describe what Sigourney Weaver brings to the table. Recitations of scripture and evangelical talking points might have come off as stiff and unrealistic in a lesser performer, but as I watched, I believed in Mary's faith conviction. I'm crossing my fingers for an Emmy nomination for her.

Pathography
My Mother had an Ovarian Cyst
In 2016, every time I had menstruation my stomach grew and hurt. After a few days, my stomach still hurts. So I decided to have an ultrasound and the doctor discovered that I had an Ovarian Cyst and that cyst was 9 cm in size. So I had to be removed so as not to get sick again, and I was confined for three days at Paranaque Doctors Hospital. The second day I was in the hospital I had surgery and the cyst was removed. It was a big relief when the cyst was removed because my stomach would not hurt again and my menstruation would be regular again.

KABATAAN ESSAY
Quarantine and how it affects youth people.
Many students experience problems at their school, and with their families. There are young people who commit suicide to end their problems in life, they are tired of feeling the pain. Today’s Filipino Youth face many problems that's why they end their lives. Some 15 year old have already committed suicide because of the problem they’re facing. Among  the  numerous  challenges  that  continue  to  hound them,  like  as  a  result  of  the  new  normal  caused  by  the  pandemic.  As the coronavirus pandemic spreads around the globe, it is causing widespread dread, anxiety, and concern among the general public, as well as specific groups such as older adults, caregivers, and those with underlying health concerns.
In the midst of  COVID-19 Pandemic the number of people seeking mental health help has risen, along with complaints of depression and suicide ideation. UNICEF, the Philippine Red Cross, and the World Health Organization (WHO) have teamed up to provide vital tools like infographics and a hotline. These two essential initiatives have helped to alleviate the negative mental health effects of these tough times and to bring isolated Filipinos together. As they try to cope with the socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mental health and welfare of children living in conflict-affected nations is gravely deteriorating.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, this brief covers mental health and substance use. It focuses on people that were more vulnerable to poor mental health or substance abuse consequences during the pandemic, including such young individuals, everyone who had lost their jobs, parents and children, and essential workers. Their fear, trauma, and chronic stress are heightened by the everyday anxiety, uncertainty, and suffering brought on by the epidemic, which they have survived life-threatening, life-altering confrontations. These youths are in the best position to express their fears and concerns about COVID-19's destructive impact on their mental health and future, as well as on their families and communities.
Loneliness is a major risk factor for children's and young people's mental health and well-being during lockdown. Increases in children and young people experiencing loneliness may be linked to mental health problems in children and young people, according to a fast evaluation of the relationships between loneliness and mental health.
As a youth in the Philippines, I’m looking forward to increasing the number of suicidal youths in the Philippines. If you have a friend that suffers from their problems, help them to conquer it because it is so hard to fight alone in your own problems. I experienced that to the point I was holding a knife and ready to stab myself, because I’m so tired of my own problems.  This system worked reasonably well for students who were demotivated as a result of COVID-19. However, because this has become our new normal, getting back on track will require some tinkering.
If you have experienced loneliness you’d better look for people to make you happy. It’s important because you don’t know how loneliness affects your life, if you don't you might experience mental breakdown and it’s hard to stop that. Everyone experiences a lot of problems but they pretend to look happy in front of others. That’s why you didn’t know people who have problems in their life. You’ll be surprised if someone died because of depression and everyone regrets it because they didn’t help the person who has depression. People know that he/she is suffering from depression but the people in their surroundings didn’t pay attention to it. That's why many youth people died because they think that no one who are willing to help them to fight in their own problems.
Let's look at why it's important to adjust to the new normal and how you can be more active in your communication with your teachers and professor, for example, my family has been relatively stable during the pandemic; we've had many lively debates on everything from washing the dishes to police brutality, and my anxiety about the pandemic flares up frequently but overall, I'm doing fine. I'm aware that many students are in similar situations. But we've all gone through an adjustment period to this way of life, and hopefully, we've found our way to a better place mentally and physically at this point. The point is that the pandemic should no longer be your primary excuse for not getting your work done.
We never imagined that such an event would hit our world. A year ago, this pandemic, COVID-19, started. The effects of the COVID-19 panic have caused massive changes in our daily lives, changes that have often occurred quickly and abruptly. Because of our experiences, we learn more about things, just as in this pandemic, we get to know ourselves better because we are only in our homes. The others have learned to cook, and they have discovered new hobbies. As a student, I've realized the importance of time management and am now focusing on online classes to learn. Life transitions are frequently accompanied by a wide range of experiences and emotions. Sometimes the transition is smooth, and other times it is choppy or downright bumpy.
When we looked at which young were having the most difficulty throughout the world, we discovered that, similar to pre-pandemic data, females and older adolescents were at higher risk for both depression and anxiety issues. We must act now to address the pandemic's near-doubling of mental health problems among children and teens. The government must adopt immediate and comprehensive strategies to address juvenile mental health, as well as guarantee that resources are available and equitable to support this initiative.
The problem with today's youth is that they don't know their limits. For example, some of them think it's cool to smoke or drink alcohol with their pals, which is the Philippines' number one problem. Some of them do not attend school because they are unconcerned about their future. Filipino adolescents must be empowered. They are aware of their rights and are eager to fight for them. Conscious of what is real and eager to express themselves, they simply require encouragement and parental guidance in order to avoid doing something they would regret in the near future.

SONG ASSOCIATION
Depression is a condition in which a person feels discouraged, sad, hopeless, unmotivated or disinterested in life. It is also a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Many people experience depression especially when they have many problems in their lives. People with depression won't necessarily look depressed because they master masking their illness in public. Unfortunately, we live in a society where depression is still vastly misunderstood. Some people might claim you’re pretending to be depressed just for the attention. That’s why people should be careful what they say to other people because they don’t know what they are going through in life. Many people die because of depression, they want to end the pain in their life.
When I read the Prelude to Cognitive Dissonance, I found out that the author has ten identities living under a personality disorder. Personality disorders exist when these traits become so pronounced, rigid, and maladaptive that they impair work and/or interpersonal functioning. Maridel introduces the ten personalities to us. It reminds me of the song Defying Gravity by Idina Menzel. The song goes with the lyrics “Something has changed within me, Something is not the same''. Many things change if you have depression, Negative thoughts can kill you.
Moving on to the second poem, Life, In Numbers. The poem is all about how Alec wanted to grow old early to do the things he wanted, but eventually he regretted it and wanted to go back to his childhood. It reminds me of the song Never Be The Same by Camila Cabello. The song goes with the lyrics “Just one hit, you will know. I’ll never be the same, ever be the same". Many people want to go back to childhood because they suffer a lot of problems at their age now. Don't rush things because if we get older early we will go through a lot of problems and it won't be the same as being happy like when we were kids.
Moving on to the third poem, A Piece of his Loving Memory. The poem is all about a person who misses the person that he loves and hoping to be with him again. It reminds me of the song Hold On by Chord Oveerstreet. The song goes with the lyrics “Hold on, I still want you. Come back, I still need you”. If your loved ones are still alive you must love them and take care of them. Because we don't know what happened the next day. We only live once so enjoy being with your loved ones. You will regret it if you don’t love them before they're gone.
Moving on to the fourth poem, A Graph of a One-Sided Limit (Not a Love Story). A poem that describes one-sided love. He hopes that when he confesses his feelings to the person he loves he will be loved too, but only Chris has the feelings for the two of them. This poem reminds me of the song Not in that way by Sam Smith. With the lyrics “You'd say I'm sorry believe me, I love you but not in that way”. It was painful to confess to the person who doesn’t love you back. The biggest lesson and blessing of a one-sided love is that it gives you an opportunity to go directly to the source of love yourself.
Moving on to the fifth poem, INRI (Don’t Stop: Keep Going). This poem is all about suffering from his own problems. He wants to end the pain but he hopes that someone will save him in his own war. This poem reminds me of the song Stitches by Shawn Mendes. The lyrics are “Your words cut deeper than a knife, Now I need someone to breathe me back to life”. If you are tired of the pain you feel, you should talk to someone. That helps you to end the pain. Many solutions to end the pain but not the dangerous one.
Moving on to the sixth poem, A Sage in every Inscription. I found that Esther is brokenhearted to the man she loved. She said that all the love she felt was an obsession. It reminds me of the song Somebody that I used to know. The song goes with the lyrics “Told myself that you were right for me, But felt so lonely in your company But that was love and it's an ache I still remember”. Some relationships don't last until the end, because some people pretend to love you but in the end they’ll use you. Don't stay in relationships that don't make you feel happy.
Moving on to the seventh poem, To the Little Prince. The poem is all about a woman who does not accept what she finds out. She wants to move on even though it hurts. It reminds me of the song It's time to go by Taylor Swift. The lyrics are “The snaps from the same little breaks in your soul, You know when it's time to go”. If something bothers you, You must know what to do. If you feel you're not happy then let go. Move on to your past relationship and then look for a guy who loves you better than your ex. There’s always a better person for you.
Moving on to the eighth poem, Wet Dream. A poem that describes a dream full of night emissions. It reminds me of the song Pillow by Taymarion. The song goes with lyrics ``When you're not here with me, I can't sleep. I had a dream about you, Wet dreams wet dreams”. Wet dreams begin during puberty when the body starts making more testosterone, a male hormone. It usually happens during dreams that have sexual images.
Moving on to the ninth poem, A Call for Change. A poem that wants to change in our education system. Education systems that don't hear the students what they want. They treat the student not equally. It reminds me of the song Unstoppable by The Score. The song goes with lyrics “We can be heroes everywhere we go, Keeping us down is impossible. 'Cause we're unstoppable.” We want to hear our voice to change the education system.
Moving on to the tenth poem, Because you are Immortalized. A poem that says you are beautiful no matter what. You are more than enough than you think. This poem reminds me of the song of Born this way by Lady Gaga. The song goes with the lyrics “ I'm beautiful in my way 'Cause God makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track, baby. I was born this way.” Don't listen to the people who always say negative comments to your personality, because you know what you are. They do not know who you really are.
All in all, the anthology sums up how sorrow can rise amidst the adversities of life. But I have a hold on one thing, that we still feel happy in every way. Being emotional about a problem, in a way that others might recognize, makes the given problem easier to cope with, because you in turn do not also have to cope with the problem that you do not understand. If everything seems to be dark, I pray to God to give me light.

SPOKEN WORD POETRY
Magandang alaala, magandang pinagsamahan
Na kailanman hindi na mauulit pa
Sa pagbitaw ng aking mga kamay
Nagsisisi na sana hindi na lamang kita nakilala
