Hi, I'm sorry to hear divination on this blog has become something taxing for you, but it's understandable and I'm glad you're not going to delete the blog completely. I hope to pursue a paid reading on the future when you open them, take your time for that. Also will you be answering the old free readings in your inbox? Or will they be deleted for good? Take care x
hello there, ive gotten another ask like this:
Tumblr media
i’m sorry to have not gotten to this in a timely manner, ive been avoiding tumblr for a while as a mental detox. yes, i did delete all the asks. it was too much on my mind and i’ve already been struggling these past few days.

The World and The Moon reversed
This would seem to indicate that things will clarify, and the world will somehow start making sense again. Or else the moon is going to fall out of the sky and crash into us, which at this point seems more likely.

an announcement
there is no escaping it, i’ve felt disconnected from this blog for a while. thinking about it makes me feel stressed, which is something i never wanted for this blog and my journey as a witch.
recently, i gave away a lot of my supplies and left deity work behind period. this brought me face to face with what i really want from my work as a witch... and i think this blog and a primary focus on divination is holding me back.
so... i think i want to keep this blog, but ill no longer be doing readings for the public. i may open paid readings again every now and again, maybe even free ones... but at the moment, divination simply isn’t my focus.
i also won’t be posting my name publicly anymore-- i’ll simply go by funeral or oracle and they/them pronouns, or whatever you feel like calling me, as long as it isn’t a slur.
this, in my opinion, is a good compromise, because i originally wanted to delete this blog. but all of the effort and time and energy and love ive poured into it made me hesitate. if, after making this change, i don’t feel better... i may then.
but for now, i hope you continue to support me through this change.
thank you for supporting me x

A particular message has been appearing in so many of my private readings that it may be of use to repeat it publicly: do what is accessible to you, what you are capable of, what you are good at, instead of attempting to accomplish everything perfectly, as that is a path to a burnout no matter the goodness of your cause. The variety of individuals upon this earth allows us to fill in the gaps and extend each other’s reach, and that is the primary function of society.

I highly encourage youths who are trying to figure themselves out to NOT base their identity on static or performance based traits. Traits like “I’m smart” or “I’m funny” can be crushing to have when you either fail a test or tell a joke no one laughs at. It makes it so it’s not just a bad joke or bad test– it’s a failure of self.
I suggest instead that you try defining yourself by the things you do and enjoy. Such as “I like knitting,” and “I like reading.” These are traits you have within your control and it’s less devastating if you get “wrong.” Making a lumpy hat doesn’t mean you like knitting any less!
Define yourself by your ongoing actions, not your temporary reflection.

Some questions for self-reflection on the past month:
1. Change: A change you enacted with intention, or one that came from the outside.
2. Simple Nourishment: What simply satisfied you? Maybe it was a ten minute phone call with a friend. Maybe it was a perfectly timed bath. Maybe it was a sandwich.
3. New to You: What did you do for the first time, as a beginner or simply with a new sense of openness?
4. Abundance: What was plentiful?
5. Loss: What was lost, what are you mourning? Maybe it is minor. Maybe it was more of a simplification than a ‘loss’.
6. Mystery: Describe a mystery from the last month. What happened that you can’t explain?
7. Front Burner List: What was read, watched, seen, listened to? Any colours, tastes, sensorial details that stand out?
8. Proportion: A specific moment that reminded you of the scale of the universe, that you are part of a greater whole. An outdoor shower in the mountains. A particular drive at night. Reading a certain quotation at the right time.

hey, can you give proper sources before explicitly implying something so drastic? this seems like fearmongering.
Kind of weird I even have to bring it up, but I've seen practitioners of hellenic witchcraft talk about blood offerings and I think it needs to be said,
DON'T DO THIS!!!
There are very few things the gods explicitly hate, but as mentioned in the tale of Tantalus, human sacrifice of any kind is seen as a horrible act and led to Tantalus being punished in Tartarus for all eternity. Don't be like Tantalus.

FYI to the witch and pagan communities:
Not everything is a sign.
Not everything is a sign.
Not everything is a sign.
Not everything is a sign.
Not everything is a sign.
Not everything is a sign.
Please try not to assign symbolic meaning to legitimately everything.
Sometimes a leaf is just a leaf and a bird is just a bird.
