I drew a Wattpad cover for my story “When Bunnyx Brings a Baby.”  Ironically, this story was posted to Wattpad over a year ago, -but it wasn’t by me. I honestly don’t mind; comments are comments. But now that I am working on the sequel, I wanted to repost the original by the actual author.

Miraculous Fanworks DTIYS

There's my contribution to the Miraculous Fanworks DTIYS. (The prompt was Adrien playing with his action figures with a croissant in his mouth while Plagg facepalms) It was just so silly and random I couldn't refuse.

When I draw, I pretty much always start with 'bases.' (I call them baldies.) Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find a base online, but more often than not, I end up drawing one myself. It is my personal headcanon that if Adrienette were to happen, Adrien would constantly over-share, and Marinette would be a blushy mess.

And, I thought it might be fun drawing totally opposite expressions.

(This is actually a moment from a fic I probably won’t get around to writing. If you think of a funny caption, let me know!)

I’ve done a bit of experimenting with drawing styles and coloring techniques since I decided to get back into drawing. It’s so hard trying to figure out something that I can be pretty consistent with. I’m still learning and finding out what works and what doesn’t work. Criticism or comments greatly appreciated.

Summary: Marinette thought she was up to any challenge. She was Ladybug after all! But when Bunnyx arrives with a baby in her arms asking her to babysit, Marinette quickly learns that Akuma battles are easy compared to taking care of a baby. A baby that seems to know her and for some strange reason... Adrien?

Mask making without good elastic.

MacGyver style Mask:

2 Cotton squares (Premium Quilters Cotton and high thread count sheet) 6” x 9” (15cm x 23cm) shoelace, underwear waistband, shoelace, picture frame wire, marine tubbing, torch. 

Cut 4” (10cm) picture hanger wire. Add marine heat-shrink tubbing.

Apply heat! Boo-yeah!

Pin at angles. The bottom elastic needs to be pins at both sides, but once it is pinned it no longer lays flats. That’s okay, but I didn’t take a picture. Place the other piece of fabric to top, right sides together. Sew both sides and top leaving bottom open.

Should look like this when sewn.

Turn fabric right side out. The wire will be your nose piece.

Put wire between layers, sew into place. Zipper foot works best.

Pin your bottom closed, folding seem inward.

Pin the tucks. I only do 2 tucks, but I have a big head. Sew.

Ready to go!
