‘Didn’t They Do Well’ was a catchphrase from then popular British ‘The Generation Game’ show, produced by the BBC, in which four teams of people from the same family, but different generations, competed to win prizes. The programme was first broadcast in 1971 and ran until 1982, and again from 1990 until 2002.

Early in 1973 David Gilmour was snapped wearing this red ‘Didn’t They Do Well’ t-shirt in a series of poses whilst strumming a guitar and twiddling the knobs at his home recording studio in London.

lowkey hot take but ive seen so many people portray eris in ff as a mean and bitter lover when if we really think about it: his biggest goal would be to end up nothing like his father. i really think that man is a soft lover. like yes of course he’s traumatized… BUT for his mate, for the love of his life, i really don’t think he would treat them with anything other than respect. would protect them from anything. would be the villain and sacrifice the world for them and let everyone else believe that he’s just made of pure hate. he is a man who is soft, but only with his lover. and i stand by that.

She makes Matthew happier than anyone (*cough* Jordelia *cough*) could ever dream of

She and Matthew are engaged

She has decided to ascend before she marries him

They met at a party thrown by a mutual friend and hooked up then became friends and then the rest happened

Matthew pulled a Gideon Lightwood when he asked her to be his girlfriend and when he proposed her. Both were accidental, yes.

She's a weapons nerd like Isabelle

She's very smart. Very, very smart

She totally acts like a Herondale and a true warrior hero

Rosa has a traumatic past but she's the definition of human sunshine

KILMER: On Top Gun, I had a van, and so often we’d all pile in that and go carouse around town. Unfortunately they had Tom working 24/7 so we never got to hang out and relax. I surf so I brought a board down. The most fun was a Top Gun Fun Pilot’s party they threw for us “to show us how it’s done.” I had a perfectly round bruise on my chest over my heart in the morning I had absolutely no memory of. After half a day of complete dead ends investigating this round mystery, I accidentally poked it- and all in a flash it came to me. This is a true story. A bruise had formed where the fighter pilots had poked me in the chest all night with their Superman fingers saying things like “You are doing it right. We’ve read the script and this Iceman character is correct. This Maverick? This hot shot? He wouldn’t last. We’d make sure of that.” They were very serious. Teamwork is life and death. They didn’t get that it was a drama meant to reveal that point. They left the next morning to fly air cover when we secretly bombed Libya. They hinted at a secret mission several time but no one told us all of it. We had to read it in the papers. Our plot line was suddenly not so silly. Memories of my movies? Oh, so many.
