Hello friends, are you a proud parent of an 05’ furby but their eyes refuse to open all the way when you turn them on? I’ve got a possible solution to this. Today I’ll be working on my 05’ Big Mama.
First you’ll need to skin your friend and remove the shell protecting all the gears and what not. There’s lots of tutorials on how to skin an 05’. What you’re looking for is behind the left eye.
Here is the friend after she’s been skinned and shelled.
If you look behind the eye, you should see that one of them has a notch and the other does not. You’ll be working with the notched eye.(red) Behind this eye is a little white clip.(green) Attached to the eye is a small hook that’s the same colour as the eyelid.(yellow) If the hook is not caught on the tag, then this is the problem. You’ll have to use a small tool like a flathead screwdriver to push the hook into the slot while pushing down on the white clip. Once the hook is clicked into place, the eyes should open all the way. I would turn on your furby before putting it back together just to make sure that the eye does work. If they still won’t open all the way, then there might be something else out of place. Good luck fixing your friends!
Edit: If your furby’s eye clip keeps coming unlatched, try removing the small screw in the center of their faceplate and leave it out when you put them back together. This seems to be a permenant fix that worked for me.
2005 furby beak tutorial! i decided to whip up a quick drawn tutorial on how to make a finger cot beak (based on a tutorial by Mandificando, the original tutorial is in Portuguese. This one is also slightly modified.)
This was a gift for my friend and was done by me and my sister. All my friend said was that she wanted earthy tones and do wild so we did! She named them lellow
