✨ With the help & inspiration from @deathanilerhellsking , old mate Brucey has been graced as a monster in the same world with Mike and Sulley & with the original addition of Ryan and Jonah ! ✨

Beast Bruce has the same laidback, roughhouse charm and jokester personality as his Great white counterpart part in down under 🇦🇺✨

- His former occupation was scarer at MI, but ultimately, he and his mate’s, Chum and Anchor, found their home away from home at Fear Co where a proud Johnny saw right at Bruce’s mammoth contribution to the company!

Bruce does have old acquaintances at MI and now and then pays a visit to his old stomping grounds, while also giving some sarcastic scolds to the cooperations use of ‘laugh’ power. 🃏

Bruce catches on about Pete’s particular bond with a HUMAN child, and with fresh knowledge of this particular boy’s love for monsters, Bruce doesn’t pass the opportunity to - ‘introduce’ himself to the young morsel- I mean, lad. 😅

Well… I did it (ヾ;￣▽￣)ヾ

Things have been pretty rough lately irl, so I wanted to jump on a recent trend with artists meeting their comfort characters.

A lot has happened since I was a shark-obsessed eight year old first watching Finding Nemo, but Bruce has stuck with me in ways no other character has.

And has saved my life in more ways than I’ve disclosed.

Eleven labs ai doesn’t do accents, but Bruce’s voice is so distinct that ai was the closest I could get; many voice impressionists come close but don’t quite nail the full range of Bruce’s voice (Barry Humphries).

As with any project using ai voice, this is only for characters whose voice actors I could not contact or commission, and who have a highly distinct voice. I never plan to use this ai for monetary gain, misinformation, or projects not presentable in a work environment.

Making a very small but substantial few-second animation video in the style of Xiaolin Showdown, and this is my first pass on the background.

It’s not really much of a surprise that I turned to making a somewhat more somber animatic following the death of my abuelita.

But doing so helped a bit, even if just as a distraction.

This little animatic is part of a fun little collaborative project between @heylinhenchman and me, inserting Bruce the Cetus into the Xiaolin Showdown universe as a somewhat reluctant friend-bodyguard-turned-father-figure for Jack Spicer.

It was fun to change styles for a bit, and animate a bit more loosely at 8fps. Audio is a little off after formatting it for Instagram.

Bruce’s a.i.-generated voice from Eleven Labs still sounds a bit too American for my taste, but it’s the closest I could get.

I drew this original comic based on @jimabernethy ‘s dives with lemon sharks and his accounts of lemon sharks ‘getting jealous’ of him giving affection to the tiger sharks.

I admittedly neither anticipated how much that comic would blow up and circulate the internet, nor how many people would unfortunately repost and steal that comic.

I drew this in college, and I think it deserves a little update!

Jack Spicer’s aunt shirked babysitter duty onto him again. Good thing that Bruce plays well with kids, and Megan seems to like animals.

That makeup better be safe for animals tho

Yeah, I have my doubts about the live action Little Mermaid, but Halle Bailey as Ariel isn’t one of them.

Mostly it’s having that dreaded shark attack scene again.

‘Hurr-durr sharks are evil and villains and stupid and mindless killers’— You’ve already made Finding Nemo NFTs, Disney: can’t you give sharks a break for once?

At least Bruce fixes everything…

The dragons from httyd universe are our world’s sharks. Both are highly misunderstood, incredible creatures that can bring people together— but whose greatest threat is humanity. In this essay… jk

I made Toothless a (semi) melanistic mako shark— one of the fastest sharks in the world. Despite their size, makos have been seen forcing great whites to give them a wide breadth— as told by scientists anecdotally.

Just like the Night Fury, mako sharks are being hunted to near extinction. It’s up to us to save these beautiful creatures.
