How To Deal With The Landlord When You Are Leasing An Apartment For The First Time
Moving into a new apartment for the first time and have absolutely no clue on how to deal with the landlord then no worries you have come to the right place. There are a lot of things that newbies should know when they are leasing a new property. A landlord does not exactly provide you with all the information which you need to know whilst you are leasing a new property, you have to do research on your behalf as well.

·Getting all the paperwork ready and reviewing the document:
It is essential that you get every agreement between you and the landlord written on a paperwork and get it signed. Having everything on paper would enable you in remembering what agreements you had with the landlord. If the landlord refuses to provide you with any then you would have a document, in which you both signed, as a form of written proof. Make sure to read the terms and conditions very carefully so you have an idea about what you are getting yourself into.
·Furnishing of the apartments:
Most of the time, the apartments you see are fully furnished however sometimes you have to furnish them yourselves. In fully furnished apartments the furniture is of the landlord so you would probably have to use it very carefully. If the furniture gets damaged during the tenant's usage then usually the tenants have to pay for the repairing costs. On the other side, if you bring your own furniture then the landlord has absolutely no hold over it. You don’t have to pay extra for it and when you decide to move the furniture obviously goes with you.
·Ask which things are included in an advance payment:
Typically, almost all the landlords ask for an advance payment of at least 2-3 months, of the property that you are leasing. But the thing which you should ask before making a full advance payment is that what bills are included the payment. Mostly the advance payment is just the rent of the property that you are leasing and its maintenance bill. However, most landlords add different utility bills like gas, water, and electricity to it. So before making any payment you definitely want to make sure what you are paying for.

·Examine the whole apartment before proceeding any further:
If you are moving into an apartment that was recently constructed then good for you. However, if you are moving into an apartment where tenants were living before you then you definitely want to get the apartment fully checked for any damages and repair. It is the responsibility of the landlord to make sure that everything is maintained and is working perfectly fine.
Some landlords try to fraud newbies because they know that they don’t really have an idea about leasing a property so they tend to thug you as much as possible. In order to prevent this kind of circumstances you definitely want to do a research of your own.
