“No, it really shouldn’t be. And of course, there is no obligation, though I do have incentives for those who are more… enthusiastic about their work.“ Cutting off ears or fingers or what have you might only be necessary in more extreme cases. She would just have to use her careful judgement to determine whether her Blades were being sincere. But really, did she seem like the sort of person it would be a good idea to lie to?
"I can offer you the use of my miracles, but you all understand I can’t simply hand them out to everybody. You must first demonstrate that you can use your existing powers responsibly.”
Garnet didn’t have much existing power to use, other than what naturally came with being a fusion, such as endurance and agility. But, she also knew from experience that the longer she stayed and more she complied with her fellow citizens, the faster she’d get her proper weapons and future vision back. Still, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy as she thought of others with their powers.
“Could you...explain that?” She asked. Sapphire’s memories may be a bit jumbled from last time, but even so, Garnet was pretty sure she never really knew the extent of Gwyndolin’s powers.

“Your Ruby is showing” I had this thought of how cool it would be if Garnet’s emotions would affect her appearance, and power. Ruby for Fire, Sapphire for Ice. Awwww that’d be awesome to see!!!!!! :D

Garnet stood at the edge of the water, her feet sinking a few inches into the mud. This park had the largest pond, and thus the largest frog population. How many of these frogs used to belong to Sapphire? It was a little hilarious, to think about what Sapphire used to do to pass the time here...honestly, keeping frogs as pets? Well, at least she let them go before she left.
She straightened her visor and pulled her feet from the mud. As she turned back around, she noticed something else nostalgic. The small bunch of flowers planted from the seeds a friend gave Sapphire were blooming nicely, with that same friend observing them.
“Hello, there! Nice to see you again.” She greeted as she approached. “They’re looking good, right?”

solarsubterrestrial-
“My gem..?” Okuu looked down at herself in confusion, realisation clicking a few seconds later. “Do you mean this?” She tapped the crimson shape on her chest, it certainly looked like a jewel. “That’s an eye! But I don’t blame you, it looks pretty fancy doesn’t it?” Her wings flapped once or twice as a smug look crossed her face,
“Utsuho Reiuji! But everyone calls me Okuu, so you can do that too. Who are you?”
“Garnet.” She nodded. “Nice to meet you...sorry about the confusion.” her eyes moved over them now, and she realized now that she could have caught on before about her true nature. After all, other than the eye, there was nothing that made her seem gem-like.
“I thought you were one of my kind, but I see now that you’re not even human...well, not like the humans I know.” Humans back home didn’t have extra eyes or wings.

“Hm?” Gwyndolin pauses, still stroking her cat, which has climbed into her snakey lap by now. “Just what I’ve said. It is similar to ah… group therapy? I believe is the term.” Something new she’d learned of in her research, and though she had never heard it before now, it seemed to fit how some aspects of her old covenant had operated. “And, of course, the act of meting out justice. That is, if you see somebody who is actively harming the innocent, or know of somebody who has, you punish them appropriately. That is all. Death is impermanent here, so there will be no killing, if that is what you are concerned about.”
“Ah, well that doesn’t sound so bad.” Garnet smiled with relief. That was sort of what the gems did already --protect people. As for punishment, well, she didn’t want to get too violent with it, but maybe she didn’t have to. If she ever got uncomfortable with it, she could always let another member take over.
As for group therapy, that could be really helpful, especially considering that she was more stable now. She could be a shoulder for the members to lean on the way she was with the gems. As long as she got a turn to cry once and a while too, that is.
