On April 23, 2105, it will have been a full five years since Generator Rex first premiered on Cartoon Network.  For as much as this show has meant to me and a number of other fans, I really want to do something special this time around for the anniversary.  So why not a GR merch give away?

How to Enter:

Both Likes and Reblogs will count as an entry, one each for a maximum of two entries per person.  (I will NOT be counting multiple reblogs, however, since while I would like word about this contest and Generator Rex to get out, we don’t want to clutter up other people’s dashboards with this.)

The last day to enter is April 23rd at 11:59pm Central time.  A winner will then be selected using random.org.

You MUST have your ask box open to allow me to contact you.  If I do not receive a response within five days time, I will select another winner.

If you are not yet a legal adult and/or are living with parents/guardians who set house rules about this kind of thing, you must have permission to accept these prizes via mail.  (Obligatory because I have run into this problem before.)

I will ship internationally.

What the Winner Will Receive:

A Generator Rex backpack with one main compartment, one outside flap compartment and two small net pouches, one on each side.

One still-in-package Super Slam Cannon Rex.  Comes with large Slam Cannon and darts that can be fired, plus an articulated Rex figure.

Two in package figures, one Van Kleiss and one Biowulf.  Each comes with a mini EVO figure.

Issue #59 of the DC published Cartoon Network Action Pack comic series, featuring two Generator Rex stories - “Only a Game” and “Freak Out.”

Beast

Beast: Favorite book?

Dexter’s favorite has to be “The World As I See It” by Albert Einstein. It was given to him by his grandfather when he first showed a real interest in science. The book was his grandfather’s own copy with a signature in the front cover that he got upon attending one of the genius’ speeches. Despite the fact it was a well loved book when he got it, Dexter cherished it reading it several times in his youth. He still keeps it in the draw next to his bed and reads it whenever he feels rundown. 

The only book that Dexter every enjoyed as much as Albert Einstein’s masterpiece is “The Theory of Everything” by Stephen Hawking. Although he will never admit to Mandark or anyone else, Hawking’s book is a very close second and was front of the line to get his book. However he is yet to meet him and get it signed, though after the war is over he is looking forward to it.

“Thank you recruit, but hurry! I fear they vault doors won’t hold the spawns back for long and we cannot risk them getting hold of the technology that is stored inside.”

Dexter’s monitor flashed up with the messages from the willing recruits. “Hurry if possible, the spawns are working their way into the most secure areas of the lab. At this rate we don't have long before the break into the vault where the most dangerous inventions are held.” Dexter replied as he prepared the teleports to allow access to the lab.

Dexter pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath. The lab’s clean up was taking far longer then he had expected and it was giving the boy genius a pounding headache. He hadn’t warned anyone when he left and he hadn’t let anyone know about his return, unless they needed to know of course. His lab kept itself running and the employees kept up with the war’s demands, which made it handy for when certain CEOs had to make unexpected trips away. However, as a result of his sudden departure he had to leave all his work in the state it was in and any paperwork that needed his approval had been piled up awaiting his return.

Coffee was keeping him going, but the endless mounds of old paperwork and half-finished inventions were beginning to get on his nerves. Dexter rose from his desk chair and lifted his mug off the pile of papers he had been working his way though. Stretching his limbs, the redhead exited his lab and look around at Tech Square. He wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he had missed the place and the people he had grown so accustomed to in his life. He sipped his coffee slowly.

God he’d missed this place.

Lab Update #1

It turns out I left a bigger mess then I remember. No doubt my sister had something to do with this chaos.

But to be honest, I’m glad to be home...in my lab.
