Jeff grinned, shaking his head at the other. He’d noticed a efw people pointing too but it was something he was slowly growing accustomed to. He’d never be used to it... never. No matter how long they were in the band, no matter how famous they got... being recognised was just too strange. “You look great, Drew. Really. Making me feel old, but you do.” He promised, shrugging a little.
At the question, Jeff took a breath and shook his head. “I considered it... I really did. I mean... yo know how much I hated my powers back then, I just... I was learning to control them, and I’d put so much work into doing that... into building up the relationship with Jen and just not being scared anymore, that I sort of just... didn’t take it when it was offered.”
Meeting up | Jeff and Drew
A laugh couldn’t be stopped when Drew noticed the confused look on Jeff’s face as he saw him continue on his journey. He felt like he was back in Hazel Run again. “Completely out of my mind!” He chuckled, his bottom lip passing through his teeth when he was nudged by the other. As the question about the cure was asked he slowed down a little so he could turn around and walk alongside his friend. “Is it that obvious that I don’t look 27?” He sniggered slightly. “I don’t exactly know why I didn’t… Maybe in the future, if it’s still available.” He smiled sheepishly.
There was a small silence before Drew began to speak again. “Did you?” He asked. “Take the cure?” He specified making sure the other man knew what he was talking about. While waiting for an answer he could see a few people looking and pointing at the two, he was pretty sure it was Jeff they were pointing at but part of him got a little nervous in case it was the small group of people who knew who he was thanks to his roommate.

Jeff couldn’t help but smile when he saw Drew, the nerves equally flaring up yet calming at the same time. He didn’t know how else to explain it, really. Or why he was nervous... He met new people every day while touring, his age, younger, and older and none really made im nervous. Maybe it was different.. meeting people fresh and seeing old friends. He pushed off from the wall he was leaning against, the smile faltering just a little in confusion when he just kept walking past. Then came the call and he just let out a laugh, moving after him in a slight jog to catch up with him.
“Far too long.” He beamed, slowing once he’d caught up and started to walk just behind so he could still look at the other while he was walking backwards. “And clearly you just couldn’t live without me, because look at you... you’re going insane.” He teased with a smirk, nudging the other lightly. It was alost relaxing to see that Drew hadn’t changed. Obviously there was a reason for that, but it was kind of nice, too. “I uh, see you didn’t.. take the cure?”
Meeting up | Jeff and Drew
Before leaving Drew made sure all the windows were locked and there was some sort of trap below them just incase. He didn’t want the place to be broken into again while he was out. He checked his appearance once in the mirror before grabbing everything he needed and heading out. A twinge of nerves came back, reminding him of when he first went to meet Jeff by himself, he could help wonder if Jeff was feeling the same. Central Park wasn’t too far from his apartment, it was one of he things he liked most about staying in the city center, nowhere was too far away for him.
As he got closer to the entrance he noticed Jeff. He couldn’t help noticed he had changed a little, he still looked the same, just more mature. He wondered how he would have aged himself if he still could. “Hey!” He called, getting closer to the other. “Come on, this way!” He chuckled, walking past the blonde man, turning and walking backwards to make sure the other was following him. “Long time, no see, Blondie.” He teased.

New York was amazing and everything, but I gotta admit being back in Hazel Run is a relief. Did I miss anything?

Meeting up | Jeff and Drew
Getting ready to go and meet Drew had Jeff feeling a little nervous. It was like a ghost of the nerves he felt the first time he ever went to meet him for drinks was coming back just to poke at him and remind him how cute he thought the other boy was. Shaking himself out of it and even rolling his eyes at himself, he finished getting dressed in his skinny jeans, shirt and jacket, before making sure he had his key, phone and wallet and heading out of the hotel.
The walk to Central Park was a short one, and one that he knew by now so he headed into the park, knowing he had time to waste. So he walked through, taking his time to get to the main entrance where he stopped, waiting patiently and humming quietly to himself.

Exactly. It’s not any of my business... I just thought it was cute. Sort of a... making the most of it situation.
I’m staying in a hotel near Central Park, so I could meet you there if you want?
Well,
I think I remember seeing him around, but we didn’t speak… Well, if it’s what they want then I guess it’s a good thing?
Actually, where are you and I’ll come meet you?

If you could Bring anyone dead back to life, who would it be?
I’d probably bring back someone that one of my friends had lost. Someone that really needed someone. Maybe Claire’s brother, or Alli’s.. Will. Or Kurt’s dad.

Jeff was having a hard time staying ‘professional’. It just didn’t feel right, but he couldn’t hug Nick, he definitely couldn’t kiss him and the way the other was looking a little nervous had him wondering whether being here was even a good idea. But he shoved aside his own nerves, heartbreak and how much he just wanted to pull Nick into a hug, and focused on the situation at hand. The warning had him shooting a cheeky grin at Nick, but he hoped that Nick still knew him well enough to see the apology in his eyes too.
“Come on guys, do what Mr Duval says or I won’t be signing any autographs or taking any photos after class. I might even sing but that’s only if you’re all really good.” He said, watching a few people scurrying to work, before looking back to Nick with a smile. “See? Perfect. you did always say we’d be good with kids.” He murmured, voice quiet and hoping that not too many people overheard. If not for his own sake, then definitely for Nick’s. Clearly the man didn’t want anyone knowing they’d dated and although that broke his heart all over again, he supposed he could understand. “Of course I did. We stopped in Miami, saw my family, then Stevie and Jen went to Hazel Run and I came here.”
Surprise | Niff
Nick’s students had a way about teasing him. It was all probably done hidden but it wasn’t in a sense bullying as it wasn’t anything bad being said. They tended to be sneaking and withholding information from him but he’d find out eventually. Nick didn’t know what to think yet he had so many thoughts in his head. First, who even left him. Nick signalled a message to Caleb, honestly one of his favourite students if he had to pick, to keep quiet.
“Jeff, I swear!” Nick pointed at him after he pushed up his glasses with his middle finger like Clark Kent. Nick rolled his eyes yet again, pulling the bottom of his purple sweater down a little. Nick resumed back to swinging on his desk like a child but his face was serious as he spoke to NJeff, who the class were currently still looking at. “Guys, back to work. Now!” He said firmly in a more serious unlike his joking one before. “Hello, stranger.” He furrowed his eyebrows at him. “It’s hard to believe you came here all the way just for me.” Mr selling-out-tours-worldwide or something like that.”

It is... You know Bellamy, right? The little ginger guy from Hazel Run? they’ve been on and off for a while but apparently he proposed the night Stevie got back.
I... could look it up on my phone?
Well,
Yeah, definitely. Damn, that’s going to be really hard on his partner.
Well, do you know where 28th Street Station is?

Exactly... I heard he got engaged, too. So, you know... making the most of it, clearly.
That sounds perfect. You uh... are seriously gonna have to guide me there because I have no clue where I’m going, but I’m free when you are.
Well,
I guess that’s all you really can do in a situation like this.
I know this little place that’s a bar/arcade. It’s a good place just to hang out, since it’s not really late enough to go to a proper bar.

It’s... I wanna say fine but... yeah. He’s getting there. We’re just trying to help him, and he’s back in Hazel Run with his brother...
Yeah, seriously! I was visiting Nick. Definitely! Anywhere you have in mind?
Well,
Oh, shit. I’m so sorry to hear that.
What?! Really? We have to meet up somewhere!

Oh, of course. Uh... Well, we were touring but Stevie’s really sick... Like... not gonna get better sick, so we had to break up the band to give him his best chance, y’know? e and Jen might go back out there but... There’s no way it’ll be the same. You’re in New York?! No way! I’m in New York!
Well,
We’re growing well then aren’t we? How come you had to leave your job? New York City, quite the contrast to Hazel Run…

I don’t have kids, relationships and I’m not married... and I just had to finish my job? Where is that different location, anyway?
Well,
Everyone seems to have kids, in relationships, getting married or have successful jobs and here I am doing the same thing I was five years ago just in a different location, yay.

Aw, you’d kill me? That’s not fair. And here I thought you used to love me. I have no idea, but they’re cute, I guess. And good ammo now, obviously… As long as they don’t get out to the press. Not that it would bother me if they did. Awww, the worst? Seriously? Even worse than that… Alex guy?
Nope. It’s not happening. I’ll kill you and dump your dead body on the Brooklyn Bridge. I don’t even know why we took those. They’re so weird. I guess that’s true but still. You’re the worst ex-boyfriend on the planet.

It’s crazy. I mean, I don’t live here, I’m just visiting a friend, but I could see myself living here one day... Or I’ll just go back to Miami.
That’s honestly how I felt about Chicago. I’ve lived here for over a year now and just got around to seeing the Bean.

What are your thoughts on Stevie getting sick? Do you think it's because he didn't get the cure?
Of course not. There’s loads of people who didn’t get the cure that aren’t ill. I just... It hurts. But no one can be going through as much pain as he is. If I could take it from him... take it on for him I would. He deserves more. He’s got Bell, the kids... he’s got a little family, and he, and they, don’t deserve this.
