Our Fight for Women Safety – Hamari Pahchan NGO’s Continued Commitment to Justice
Hamari Pahchan NGO, known for being among the best NGOs in Delhi, stands firmly at the forefront of the fight for women safety and justice. A recent and heartbreaking case brought to light the urgency of their work—when the organization was approached by the family of a 14-year-old girl from South Delhi’s Govindpuri area, who was six months pregnant after being repeatedly assaulted and raped.
On receiving this distress call, the Hamari Pahchan team immediately verified the details and took swift action. An FIR was lodged against the accused, who is now behind bars. But the NGO didn’t stop there. True to their mission of supporting the underprivileged, they extended financial help, ensured the girl received proper medical care, and arranged counselling to help her cope with the trauma.
The case was also brought to the notice of public representatives. With the help of Maheish Girri, then-MP of East Delhi, and Mr. Najeeb Jung, the then Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, the case gained the attention it deserved. Eventually, justice was served, and the child born out of the assault was adopted by a respectable family offering a chance at a better future.
