So apparently in Turkey Burger King uses sultans in their advertisement and my professor showed us a picture today of a Burger King ad with a little cartoon sultan that was (according to my professor) probably Mehmed and I have not been able to stop thinking about it since.
Mehmed the cartoon sultan.

"On our wedding night," she said, "I will cut out your tongue and swallow it. Then both tongues that spoke our marriage vows will belong to me, and I will be wed only to myself. You will most likely choke to death on your own blood, which will be unfortunate, but I will be both husband and wife and therefore not a widow to be pitied."

It was the last that scared them most of all. She smiled, tapping her fingers on the throne in a beat like her heart. “Mine,” she said. Hers. And hers alone.

“So the question becomes, Daughter of the Dragon, what will you sacrifice? What will you let be taken away so that you, too, can have power?”

Here are these two, together! I plan on reading the third book but my library doesn’t have the digital audiobook in for it yet, so I wait patiently(ish). I’m quite happy with how these managed to work together, since I had entirely designed the first cover before I decided to do one for the second too, so it was good I was able to work unifying elements into it while still making it suit the book. Hopefully I will do a cover for the third too.
[I.D.: covers for “And I Darken” and “Now I Rise” with the title text in centered italic white text against the black background. “Kiersten White” is written at the bottom in the same font but not in italics. A thin white border surrounds everything. Both share the same colours: black, white, pale slate-blue, and sandy beige. On the cover of And I Darken, the façade of a castle is shown: the palace at Târgoviște, with a sun behind it, textured and coloured to look like a gilded saint’s halo in a painting. Below the text is the upside-down wall and façade of the palace at Edirne which now no longer exists so I relied on some very old photos and some accounts to know what it looked like. Behind the palace is an eight-pointed star formed with two overlapping squares, and textured the same as the sun above, but an outline only. In between each word in the title is a small knife. The cover of Now I Rise has a farm scene above the text with a small house, fence, field, tree, and hills behind everything, a gilded sun rising above. Below the text is the upside-down illustration of the walls of Constantinople with the Hagia Sofia behind it, even though it is only visible like that from the water and not from the walls but I took artistic licence. A gilded crescent moon hangs behind the scene. Between the words of the title are an Ottoman arrow and the curved sword of Vlad the Impaler.]

Hey I haven’t updated this blog in awhile!! But I’m always happy to get notifications and know people are still enjoying the books!
That being said, I’m looking for someone who could either take over the blog or co-run it with me (it’s a sideblog, so I’m not entirely sure what’s possible).
Send an ask or a dm if you’re interested!

Hey, Conqueror's Saga fandom!
We have a wiki, but it needs a lot of work! When I found it, there were only four or five pages. I've written pages for Radu, Cyprian, and a stub template, so now we're up to eight, but it's still not a lot.
If you're interested in the series, or knowledgable about it, this is your time to shine! Check out the wiki, improve it, talk to me and give feedback! Anything is appreciated!
