Following a string of sold-out shows in their hometown, Cartel recently announced that they will be performing a special acoustic show in…

Throwback Concert Experience
In an honor to Throwback Thursday, I decided to post a throwback experience I had 8 years ago. When I was 13, I got to meet 3/5 of Cartel after their show at the Sonar Club in Baltimore on October 6, 2007. (To let you know a couple of weeks before this encounter I met Will and Kevin after their show they performed at Six Flags.) I didn’t get to attend the concert, but my sister went with her friend. After the show, they waited around to see if they could meet anyone and I told my mom that I wanted to go with her to pick them up to see if I could meet any of Cartel too. When we pulled up we saw they were talking to Will so I went over so that I could meet him. We talked to Will for a while and my sister asked if we could get an autograph and picture which he said yes to. My favorite moment I’ve ever had with Will was during this meeting. As he was signing my booklet, my sister asked if I wanted a picture with him and I said “I guess” and Will thought it was funny so he repeated me in this cute mocking voice and I said “Well I just met you at Six Flags a couple weeks ago” to see if he remembered. Then, he got a look of realization and said he remembered us, but who knows if he did or not. So I got my picture with him and we said goodbye and proceeded to wait for Jeff and/or Joseph to come out because Nick already went on the bus. After waiting, we saw Jeff going towards the bus so we stopped him and exchanged hi’s and had a quick conversation before we got our autograph and picture. I can’t really remember what we talked about it might of even been about my “Jeff Lett is my hero shirt” I made for the Six Flags show that he didn’t get to see, but who knows. I do know Jeff was really nice. He went on the bus and then Joseph came out so we got to meet him really quick before he got on the bus. I remember being really shy and quiet around him which is my normal self, but he was still sweet nonetheless. Then, we went home and reminisced on the awesomeness of what just happened. To this day I still talk about how Will repeated my “I guess” and it’s probably one of my favorite experiences I’ve ever had with a band member. I’m glad I shared this experience with you and thanks for reading! If you have any concert/band experiences you would like to share I would love to hear them!
