Updated characters/alignment chart for Mega Voltage. I'm still wary of the veracity of those "Amethio in Ep101" claims, feels like it would be a bit much since it features a reunion with the school SV characters and the Roy/Nemona battle, but 👀👀👀 at them showing off his silhouette here.

Can't wait to see his updated design (presuming him and Friede get them), he's been probably roughing it in the wilderness for around a year if he's with Friede, so I wonder if he'll have a more casual fit now.

Unexpectedly long post, but how the Strong Spheres and Laquium work is sharpening the Pokemon's fighting instincts and power, but at the cost of not paying their Trainers' orders any attention.

(Interesting contrast that the guy with the friendship evolution developed something that renders the Trainer and whatever bond they had with their Pokemon irrelevant.)

I know he's playing the benevolent CEO role rn (as well as not having personal beef with Indy and Rubella like he does with Ame), but I love how nice Spinel acts towards Indy and Rubella over them failing their mission, like, "Don't sweat it! Everyone fails sometimes!" vs. how Spinel loved rubbing Amethio's nose in it when he'd fail to get the pendant.

The Paldean Tauros have been in really good sync with each other, so I like how Ult disrupts their synergy with Confuse Ray, causing the Aqua Breed to attack its partner.

With them showing off a spread of Roy's Mega Lucario vs. the Paldean Tauros, I'm surprised Indy and Rubella went down so quickly. We're not even 10min into the episode, but I guess they wanted to get into the reunion we all knew was coming?

Rubella and Indy are the names of the new Explorers! And their names, less obviously gem-themed than the rest of the Explorers, come from Rubellite and Indicolite, two varieties of tourmaline! (I wonder if they'll be recurring or if they catch on to how dangerous Strong Spheres can be to one's own Pokemon next episode?)

They're hero wannabes who are in for a VERY rude awakening when Spinel reveals his true nature.

We saw Karna lugging around one of those blue bins earlier, so were they manufacturing Strong Spheres, not really knowing what they were? (I don't think Orla was ever around Laquium to know the identifiers of it, since her and the rest of the RVT hung back from the trip up into Laqua, and they never saw Spinel's prototype Laquium Sphere that he threw at the Six Heroes.)

And it seems Karna is in the middle of telling the Exceed guys to where to shove their Strong Spheres and to get the hell off their property when the actual Explorers show up.

And that's the episode! Seems Spinel gave the Explorers grunts' Roy and Liko's names, so I wonder what orders he's given them in regards to how they should operate if they encounter any RVT member. Like take them into Explorers custody?

Oh, Spinel wants to be Amethio so bad. First he usurps the Explorers and Exceed, which rightfully belong to Amethio and his family, now he's tryna copy him by having two personal retainers doing his bidding like Amethio has Zirc and Onia, only with none of the actual substance.

You will never be Amethio, Spinel. Give up. Not only did Gibeon not actually choose you in the end, you don't have any of the merit (ie Amethio's talent and character) that makes Amethio genuinely worthy of the things he has.

Ah, I've been wanting to draw my two boys meeting each other for the first time for ages. Though, there seems to be a theory that Amethio's family is from Unova, so maybe he and Montgomery crossed paths somewhere before. I could definitely see them being neighbors
