Genevieve didn't miss the glare that Charlie shot at her on the way out of the room, but she chose to ignore it. He should be thanking her! For almost the entire time they had been down here, he had seemed to have an issue with her, but that was his problem. She didn't have time for pouty vampires and their melodrama.
Her attention returned to Carrie, noticing her shaking and the start of the tears before she was suddenly collapsing into her. "Hey, hey... It's okay, you're okay." Gen wrapped her arms around her, holding her tightly against her for a moment before pulling back a little to look her in the eyes. "Don't worry, we can get a new coffee table." Part of Gen's charm as a doctor was her stellar ability to cut the tension with a joke, but perhaps now was not the time. "Hey... Charlie's not-..." This probably wasn't about Charlie, but Gen didn't want to push her. "You want to talk about it?"
Charlie could have retaliated, in fact, he would have if Carrie hadn't spoken. You killed her. Despite the fleets of women he had killed over the century, he didn't have to think too hard to know that she was talking about Karen. He knew before she had even said her name. Carrie's words continued to spew, each one feeling like a dagger to the gut- and not the fun kind! Charlie just stared up at her, a somewhat pained expression on his face, but it was also twisted with anger. At her? At himself? At the fact that he still gave a damn? Who knew? He didn't kill Karen, but maybe if he hadn't given his out of date information, she would still be alive. He continued his devastated glaring until he saw a table leg coming for him, and he swiftly moved his head to the side. Shockingly, he still had nothing to say to her, but her last statement was just rude.
And then, suddenly, she was being lifted from him and Charlie had the opportunity to narrow his eyes at Genevieve Huang as she guided Carrie from the room. In what world was this human strong enough to restrain an enraged vampire? Whatever. He'd consider the implications of that later. Getting to his feet, he left to find the nearest bottle of whiskey, and headed above ground.

"I've been told." She smiled sweetly, perching herself on the edge of Ana's desk. Gen waved a hand in dismissal when her aunt thanked her for checking in. It was the least she could do for her, but, if she was being honest, she had been finding excuses to check on her since she returned from the dead. "I'm sure Xav is working on a skull merging headset as we speak." Gen laughed then shrugged a shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine. "Anxiety might be getting the better of me today. Just feeling like I'm forgetting something when there's literally nothing to remember." Anxiety had always been an issue for her, but after that first Founders' Day, it's been progressively getting worse.
"You are an angel, you know that?" Ana took the coffee from her, briefly distracted by the heat on her fingertips. A reminder she was here. Real. "Thank you for checking in. You know me, I practically live in here. I'm surprised the headset hasn't merged with my skull yet. Yeah, we're good. She was just clearing a couple of topside visits. Everything good with you, hon?"

Gen had been on her way to the kitchen to top up her coffee when she heard the commotion. There had been plenty of fights down here in the underground- having this many people in such close quarters for an indefinite amount of time was, of course, going to result in the occasional tussle- but this was something else. Carrie looked like she was about ready to take Charlie's head off. He probably had said something to deserve it, but she wasn't about to let Carrie take out an ally- as questionable as he was.
Sitting her mug down, Gen rushed over to them. "Carrie! Carrie, stop!" She grabbed hold of her by the arms, pulling her up off of Charlie with ease. "Come on, he's not worth it." Still moving backwards, she attempted to lead Carrie out of the room, leaving Charlie in a mess on the floor.
@c-harlesemerson
Okay, so Charlie had expected Carrie to be embarrassed by his comment. Maybe she would partake in some verbal sparring with him, at most perhaps he would get a punch out of her. He hadn't been expecting her to launch herself at him, so he wasn't prepared to be knocked to the ground, breaking the coffee table on his descent. Honesty? He didn't hate it, and he did cackle delightfully on the way down, but he couldn't take all the credit for this. Charlie knew that he was an antagonising bastard- he lived for irritating these people- but this reaction was a bit excessive. Should he be... concerned? He laughed again, "Are we feeling a little-..." His words were cut off by a fist to the face.

Gen waited for her to get off her call with Carmen before holding up the two coffees in her hands. "You've been in here for a while; I wanted to check in." She handed over one of the coffees, "Everything good with Carmen?"
"Just a minute, sweetie. I've got Carmen in my ear. I- Yeah, no problem. Both of them? Sure, they've got this-," Ana said in response to her door opening- "Alright, I'm good. What can I do for you?" @havensdalestarters

𝒢𝑒𝓃𝑒𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓋𝑒 𝐻𝓊𝒶𝓃𝑔
Pronouns: She/Her Birthday: 9th February 1985 (32) Species: Human(?) & Hunter Occupation: Orthopedic Surgeon at Havensdale General Alliance: Good - Resistance (Institute 2.0) Location: Inside the dome - above and underground
So What Happened?
Gen came to Havensdale for her brother Blake Huang. She might have been adopted by a bloodline hunter family, but they had never expected her to pick up the life. And she hadn't, not really. Becoming a doctor made sense. Joining the Institute had made sense. Once Havensdale had been trapped under the dome, supernaturals running riot, becoming a hunter made sense.
She re-joined the Institute 2.0 and underground #Resistance headed by Analese Huang and Viper. She can move above and below ground to help people hurt by supernatural injuries. Havensdale General is a whole other ball game now that they're under the dome. She's fighting the good fight whenever and wherever possible!
Circling back to Analese- her aunt Ana- who came back from the dead! Gen was devastated when she was killed by William Rebelo and is doing all she can to keep Ana steady. She's a great leader, but Gen knows how hard being back was for her in the beginning. That doesn't just go away.
Now, Gen appreciates that they need all the help they can get, but it's been super awkward since Charlie Emerson came down to the underground! Secret? Gen was the surgeon who put the chip in Charlie's head. She does not want anyone to find out about it. He acts so weird around her, she hates it!
Gen trains with the other members of the Resistance now she's embraced being a hunter. It's a necessary evil at this point. The thing is, she always tends to win in sparring rounds. How is she so small and yet so strong? Like, significantly packs a punch! Rumours are going around about if she's entirely human, TBH.
On the surface, she's still hanging out with the Doc Squad, keeping Havensdale together with Andy Parker, Meredith Brightman and Veronica Ross. Underground, she babysits Dean Argent and Harper Belhaven's adorable twins and honestly? She has so much to say about the Dean x Harper relationship like, OMG.
Obviously, there have been some pretty significant lows these past three years. That's the fight, though, right? That's what Gen thought, but everyone took a big hit when they lost the McReids. Now knowing that Karen McReid was killed by William Rebelo- just like with Ana- she is entirely on board with treating him as public enemy #1 one. Gen, Danny McReid, Charlie and Ryan Mitchell are all in the same boat there-- they want #revenge.
