Reflective Letter
DES 230 has been one of the courses that has provided me the tools that i needed in order to implement creativity in Design. There is a wide variety of concepts that have been taught that were very useful throughout the semester and will be for the next Design courses. I have learned so much about Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and how these programs play an important role in design field nowadays. The content of the course was very interesting where we had the privilege of representing something we are passionate about, in my case, my hometown Sharjah. Ironically, i have also learned things about Sharjah that i was not aware of. The last project, the travel guide has given me the opportunity to explore Sharjah firsthand and in depth which has been a very fascinating experience. Other than that, i am very delighted to have had the opportunity to be taught by Professor Reim. She has been very thoughtful and determined with the course, which i personally find quite inspiring. Her geniality allowed us to interact with her more freely and share our thoughts more honestly. Overall, it has been a great course that has taught me a lot and also introduced me to new faces whom now i call friends.

Travel Guide Publication //
Included the images i have photographed into the booklet and created a 3 page directory of Sharjah’s most visited destinations. The colour palette choice is a combination of pastel colours that are easy on the eyes that goes well along with the lively visual photographs on the corresponding page.

Final Posters Representing Sharjah //
Al Noor Mosque Poster presents a 3D illusion of the beautiful mosque by emerging it from the bottom corner of the page overlaying the centred background, for the purpose of becoming the centre of attention. In addition to placing the text in the centre with a bold title.
Al Namlet Poster includes different elements that are of importance. The top structure that is called “Barjeel” in Emirati is the logo of the drink, therefore its position being at the top represents its importance. Also, the hanging bottle represents the structure of the Namlet that demonstrates and introduces its unique form.
The 5 Dhs Poster. After numerous trials of illustrating a poster to represent this banknote, i have finally settled on a minimalistic layout as presented. The reason behind so is due to the complexity of the banknote. The 5 Dhs banknote speaks for itself, hence a simple layout would allow it to become the center of attention, as demonstrated.
