I've been having so many thoughts on the emotional state of Neviro, Iris, and Morden.

Neviro seems super defensive about his emotions, like he's guarding everything he feels from those around him. I haven't read his journal in a while, but I think he's uneasy about the whole ordeal during the story.

On the contrary, Iris seems almost overtaken by her own emotions. I believe this is supported by how driven she is to avenge her father, as seen by her attempt to melt Frostmill, her willingness to scorch anyone in the Bronze Legion, ect.

Morden seems like he had a good grasp on his emotions before the death curse, but the curse is starting to give him a sense of dread, as seen in his journal when he's talking about how nervous he is to not find the player in Ravenna. As he's new to the curse, I think it'll settle in more as the story progresses.

unsure if this has been said before but consider: edward kenton x thorin

i like it because they've both lived similar lives, yk edward deserting the navy because he was sick of the bloodshed, and thorin realizing piracy wasn't for him. They're opposites but exactly the same, they would have killed each other if they had met a few years earlier, yet they faced the same fate. I think it makes for some nice internal conflict

and it doesnt even seem like them meeting would be too far fetched, not that that would stop me. What if edward sailed a different direction and wound up at thorin's refuge? and convinced thorin to travel with him?

also wouldnt it be funny if they were like "ur hands are so cold..." "that me hook"
