Bangkok: Great Danes
Black horses, they termed them. Team China spent the previous month scrimming, for example per week of in-house clinic, and they came in Bangkok decided to establish themselves as the best group in the team --while at exactly the exact same time reviving the standing of Chinese Overwatch.
Their 3-1 triumph over Sweden--one which seemed effortless occasionally --went a long way to do this, since China made a statement on the rest of the planet: dread us.
Bangkok Group Stage In the very first group struggle on Oasis City Center, China's staff coordination was on screen. An individual may not have anticipated this kind of team chemistry by a group constituted of four distinct Contenders China teams, one Overwatch League group, and a participant who took an elongated break from specialist Overwatch--which could be Xin"Leave" Huang, among the most striking players to China all game --but time and time again that the lovers were treated to absolutely timed Nano-Boosted Dragon Blades, Sound Barriers, and EMPs.

It was not only the achievement of the dives and ultimates that stood out--it had been the efficacy. China infrequently used over the necessary tools to acquire a group struggle or claim a goal, which meant that they were regularly in good condition heading into prospective skirmishes.
Sweden played --their success King's Row was gutsy, capping off a really nutty map which had all, even a Bastion--however they were just not entirely ready for China's manipulation or pace.
Fantastic DANES
Team Denmark had just two of the five Group Stage matches now, leading to two successes: 3-1 over Thailand and 2-1 over Spain. "We are pleased with our wins, of course, but they had been shaky--certainly rickety," said service Danni"Ding" Rasmussen within their post-match media conference.
Tumblr media
"That is far bigger than any of us anticipated," stated his service spouse Kristian"Kellex" Keller, gesturing to his teammates. "It is the very first LAN for the majority of us, and we're nervous at first. I believe tomorrow is better since we have had now's experience"
Even though it took some time for the vast majority of all Team Denmark to get accustomed to the point, the audience's energy helped fuel the group in their successes. "When you are playing, it is really pleasant to hear the audience cheer for you. You would like to acquire when people are watching you."
"It is such a fantastic audience," Kellex agreed.
Following their 2-0 start, the Danes are convinced they will make it from groups and in the Top 8 mount at BlizzCon. DPS Mads"Fischer" Jehg says that he had been looking forward to facing off against the Chinese group, as they seem as the greatest challenge.
Kellex, nevertheless, is anticipating playing Sweden the most. "We're equally Scandinavian nations, and I wish to prove we are the best," he explained simply.
The Overwatch World Cup resumes tonight in p.m. PDT, as Denmark attempts to keep their win streak when they take on Australia. Have a look at our complete phase preview for programs, rosters, livestreaming places, and much more!

Bangkok: Phan service
Under grey skies, the middle of Bangkok bustled with activity as groups made the brief trek across rain-soaked roads into the Siam Paragon for the first day of the next Overwatch World Cup Group Stage. Backstage, before the games started, the participant clinic area has been buzzing. Team Australia scrimmed with higher energy, yelling calls to one another. Team Spain's community supervisor entered the couch wearing the flag as a cape. "Would you enjoy it? I am a superhero!" She said, turning into a circle.
This was the most bizarre, fervent energy which flowed on the stage and to the audience as day among the Bangkok Group Stage kicked away, and host group Thailand, Denmark, Australia, Spain, China, and Sweden started their fight for just two more areas in the Top 8 at BlizzCon.

Denmark appeared one step ahead of Thailand through the game, but there have been flashes of brilliance in the local group.
He explained this Group Period being his first LAN was thrilling, but he felt a great deal of pressure to do. "It took me a bit to heat up, after which I was good to go," he explained.
You might be asking yourself how a person still in college can become so good at Overwatch, however for Phan (as his friends call him) it is very straightforward. "Once I get home from college, about four o'clock, I log on and play all night!" He explained. "All of my friends are extremely excited and believe that I am super cool because I am only 15 and I expect to signify all of Thailand."
Tumblr media
"I'm quite grateful for all of my new fans," he added. "I really hope they continue to encourage me. I will represent at the Overwatch World Cup for so long as I can. My second event will be in Contenders [Pacific] at Taiwan, so hopefully folks will see me there, also."
"For the remainder of the point, we'll need to do what we can to play nicely. Our final objective is nevertheless BlizzCon."
