Women who miscarry in West Virginia should be prepared to face potential criminal charges, a county prosecutor warned a local news outlet last week, saying other law enforcers have raised the possibility with him.
Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Truman told WVNS 59News on Friday that while he would not take any such action, a number of other prosecuting attorneys in West Virginia have discussed with him their willingness to charge women who miscarry and dispose of their own fetal remains, such as by flushing or burying them.
The charges would be under a state law related to the disposal of human remains. Though abortion is highly restricted in West Virginia, state law says women cannot face criminal charges for their own abortions.
“The kind of criminal jeopardy you face is going to depend on a lot of factors,” Truman told the news outlet. “What was your intent? What did you do? How late were you in your pregnancy? Were you trying to hide something, were you just so emotionally distraught you couldn’t do anything else?”
A miscarriage is often just heavier-than-normal bleeding. It sometimes involves passed tissue that looks like blood clots or a fluid-filled sac.
Women should also be wary of what they share with others before miscarrying, Truman advised.
“If you were relieved, and you had been telling people, ‘I’d rather get ran over by a bus than have this baby,’ that may play into law enforcement’s thinking, too,” he warned.
While there’s no state law requiring women to notify authorities about a miscarriage, it may be best practice to do so anyway, Truman added.
“Call your doctor. Call law enforcement, or 911, and just say, ‘I miscarried. I want you to know,’” he suggested.
There is precedent for a woman facing criminal charges related to how she handles her miscarriage.

Same with Portuguese, and don't even get me started with words that are completely neutral in Europe, but an insult or something sexual in Brazil and vice versa. Looking at you rapariga* and bico*. You two put me through some quite embarrassing situations.
*rapariga: girl in Portugal, whore in Brazil.
*bico: odd job or part time job in Brazil, blow job in Portugal.
It's really funny to take Spanish with people from different Spanish-speaking countries, because the ones from South American countries are like "Yeah no one uses vosotros, we don't know what it's doing here" and the ones from Europe are like "If you don't give our beloved second-person plural its due respect, the Hounds will find you"

Homelessness is a failure of the economic system, the culture, the governments and society as a whole, not of the single individual.

And by the way, if you guys think the authors themselves don't have a ridiculous amount of fun writing and designing antagonists or morally questionable characters you're so, so mistaken.
I think the unfortunate fall of fandom spaces makes people forget that you are allowed to like bad characters. Let me explain;
Most people, when they say, "I like [Insert Evil Character]" they're not saying that character is flawless, nor are they excusing their behavior. You can still like a character while knowing they're not a good person, let me use Hisoka from HxH for example.
Hisoka is a creep, we all know that, he isn't a golden character, but his character design, his powers, his dialogue, it can be fun and enjoyable. You are allowed to enjoy him as a character while also acknowledging he isn't a good person.
A character can be a terrible person and you can still like them because "They have hilarious one liners sometimes," while still admitting they're not a good person.
Dark/Pro-Shipping has ruined fandom spaces so much to the point you can't hardly admit you like these characters without beind assumed you align with those views and it honestly forces people out of the space because they can't enjoy these characters anymore.

Nazi propaganda and Trump propaganda are the same thing. Republicans are too busy licking boots to say anything.

Several documentaries publically treating Luigi Mangione as guilty before his trial even started got released over the past 2 months.
Here's the billion dollar companies behind them.
