Maguro typically wears a purple dress shirt and red pants with brown loafers. He keeps the first two buttons of his shirt undone and his sleeves slightly rolled up. When not currently teaching, he usually has a cigarette in his mouth.

Personality: Maguro tends to have a lax and laid-back personality; sometimes a bit too laid-back for a teacher, his colleagues believe. He actually used to be a lot more aggressive, hot-headed and violent back in his delinquent days, but calmed down a lot since then, though he hasn't rid of all of his habits and mannerisms. While he can sometimes be exasperated by the antics some of his students get up to, Maguro genuinly cares for each of them and tries to be the best and most supportive teacher he can be for them. Some of his more mischevious or sassier students call him 'Tuna-sensei', much to his annoyance.

Background: Back in his teenage days, Maguro was the leader of a group of delinquents that everyone feared. Often being much taller and stronger than his opponents, no one could take him down. It was how he earned his Ultimate Delinquent title back then, with how fearsome and indescrutale he was. Even officers couldn't touch him; that is, until one bold officer was willing to fist fight him one-on-one, with the agreement that if he won, then Maguro will turn himself in. He took on the fight, thinking it'd be a breeze as it always was, but he was greatly wrong: that officer, a former boxing champion in his prime, completely knocked him out. Even when he took the fall, he never once ratted out his friends and outright refused to, even at the threat of receiving a worse punishment.

Funnily enough, that's what made the cop respect him, and instead of throwing him in jail for the many crimes he committed, he made him do community service and as long as he didn't commit another crime again for a whole year, he could avoid jail. Because of that, he disbanded his gang and started attending classes like a good kid. After that, he put his delinquent days behind him for good and would eventually find himself becoming a teacher at Hope's Peak as the former Ultimate Delinquent in his adult years. Of course, he still couldn't break all his habits like his constant smoking and occasional acts of rebellion and unprofessionalism, but he truly is set on making sure his students achieve a good future for themselves.

Yuichi wears a black dress shirt over a blue pinstripe double-breasted waistcoat with gold buttons. He also wears a blue brooch tie with a sapphire gem in its middle with gold accents, along with dark blue dress pants, white socks, and black loafers. In his vest pocket, he always carries his black-and-gold fountain pen. On his vest's left lapel, he wears a pin of his previous high school's symbol on it.

Personality: Yuichi has a calm, cold, and reserved demeanor, with an extremely blunt and snarky mouth. While he is polite and formal, he becomes a lot more vulgar mouthed when provoked, which doesn't take much effort due to his short temper. He rarely smiles, and at most, does a mocking smirk when he's aggravating or taunting someone, himself. Having a bad relationship with his family and hardly any friends, Yuichi is actually socially awkward and does not know how to talk to people, which may explain why he comes out as harsh and distant. Deep down, he does want to open up to people more, which would reveal his nicer and warmer sides of him.

Background: Yuichi was born in a wealthy family. He is the younger brother of Arata Suga, who is 8 years older than him. Arata, along with his parents, are all poets. Yuichi, however, had no interest in poetry; rather, he wanted to become a novelist, instead. But his parents did not care for his personal wishes and forced him to learn the art of poetry. This made Yuichi come to greatly resent his parents, and did not like his older brother that much, either, since he also agreed their parents was just 'doing what's best for him', and that he just should listen to what they say. Having no one to vent to, Yuichi would often vent out his feelings of sadness, frustration, and anger into his works, which resulted in many of his poems being angsty. Never once, did he write a happy one...

He was always forced to enter poetry competitions, in which he would win each one, but even the victories did not make him happy. One time in secret, he wrote a roughdraft of a story concept based on the types of films he loves: nori films. A national writer's competition was coming up in a few months, and he was planning to submit it, regardless of his parents' permission. However, this roughdraft was eventually found by his parents. Not only did they refuse to let him enter that competition, but, out of anger that he would even think of trying to do such a thing behind their backs, they ripped up the pages, right in front of Yuichi's face.

That was his snapping point. He would come to extract his revenge when he would compete in a national poetry competition later during that year. As it was the biggest competition he would be in, yet, this was his 'shining moment', as his parents like to call it. But Yuichi wasn't going to play along; rather, he would go to completely plagiarize a competing poet's work after finding out what their poem was about. Ironically enough, Yuichi ended up winning the competition. He would take that chance to outright admit he cheated and stole the idea from the poet who, funnily enough, came in second place, and forfeited his award to them. The entire building was shocked by this confession, and Yuichi was promptly banned permanently from competition in another national again, now being called a "disgraced poet" by all who used to admire his works.

His parents were of course especially irate with him for what he did. He of course, did not regret his actions at all, even if now meant he brought the reputation of his family down the drain, too. Even later during that night, his brother confronted him for what he did as well. This made them get into a big fight, a verbal one to eventually a physical one. Yuichi used his fountain pen as means of self defense, but his brother snatched it from him and in their tussle, accidentally stabbed him in the eye with it. With how severe the damage was, it left him permanently blind in that eye, which he would cover with an eyepatch to hide it.

Months later, Yuichi would receive an email from Hope's Peak, scouting him under the title of 'Ultimate Poet'. He was greatly confused by this since he, assuming they scouted him because he won that national competition before confessing to his cheating, did not write his own idea for that poem. That aside, he had no desire to be known as an 'Ultimate Poet', so he immediately refused; or rather, was going to refuse, but his personal butler, the only person he was really close to, convinced him to take it. Not because he wants him to be known as a poet, but he could take that chance to get away from his family by living in the dorms, and... with more freedom, could focus on re-creating the novel he had worked so hard on. Even if he still hated the title... Yuichi relented and agreed, and so reluctantly accepted the invitation.

When posing as a barista, Koji wears a brown shirt, blue jeans, and brown loafers. He also wears the Heiwa Coffeehouse apron, which a green-and-white stripe color with the coffeehouse's logo on it.

When taking on a misson, Koji dons a black suit, with the jacket being a tailcoat style. He pairs this with a black tie, loafers, and occasionally sunglasses. Under his jacket, he sports a holster for this gun, along with a belt that contains multiple gadgets and tools.

Personality: Koji is a man of few words who doesn't like to say much; and even when he does, he's often rude, cold, and blunt. This is mostly due to being a spy... where being vulnerable or emotional can get you killed. ; That, and not only can being one bring people he is close to in potential danger, but one day, he may have to target them... So to avoid the risk of that ever happening, Koji keeps people at a distance and doesn't open up to people. He often wears an indifferent look on his face and not very expressive; but deep down, he is pretty emotional if one manages to anger or fluster him. If someone were to still tear down his walls, he would become a little nicer to them, but still would struggle with his emotions due to years of having to stuff them down. Despite his harsh nature, Koji is softer towards animals and children, and will never harm them under any circumstances, even if he's ordered to.

Background: Koji's father is the boss of the TNIB (Tokyo National Investigation Bureau) , a spy agency that acquires confidential information from rival and government organizations, with the intent to either blackmail, expose, or infiltrate their bases to take them down. Corrupt precincts and courts are also not safe, especially if they arrest one of their men to try getting information out of them. The building itself is disguised, posing as a small cafe called "Heiwa Coffeehouse." The access to the building is an off limits room, it being a hidden door that can only be accessed by a key card. Then after several more doors, an elevator that takes one to the real building..Koji was primarily raised by his mother until he was 10 years old. At that young age, his father would begin putting him through the brutal training needed to become a spy, with his mother being made to move to Hokkaido to keep her safe. He went through rigorous exercises, training, and as he grew older, learned to utilize many different forms of weapons and gadgets, along with being homeschooled by one of the higher ranked spies. Despite being his father, he treated Koji strictly like a spy in training, rather than a son; this was so Koji did not grow 'soft.' A spy who is too nice and emotional, as he put it: are guaranteed to get caught or possibly die.

Even at his young age, Koji quickly climbed up the ranks, and by the age of 17, quickly became one of the bureau's best and skilled spies. His most difficult mission... would be an assassination one. His target: an untouchable Yakuza chairman who ruled many underground businesses and turfs in the city. Any spy that had been assigned to assassinate him, was instead caught and killed, instead. His father wanted to see what his son was truly capable of, even if it meant sending him to his possible grave. Disguising himself, Koji infiltrated the base, fighting his way all the way up to the chairman's office. With all the weapons at his disposal and quick thinking. Koji was able to successfully assassinate the chairman; however, he took significant damage through the fight, nearly on the verge of death. The other spies quickly retrieved him, where he would be sent to recover in the bureau's medical ward. After several days of resting, his father would come to personally visit him. Not only to praise him for an impossible job well done....but to also give him a letter: an invitation letter from Hope's Peak... under the title of "Ultimate Spy." He was worried about how the school possibly found this information, but his father had the staff cover up his title, instead officially listing him as the 'Ultimate Barista." His father told him to accept the offer, so that he can hone his spy skills... and while he would never say it out loud: so that Koji can actually experience school life again after so long.

Appearance: Souma is a tall boy short black hair that's slightly messy, and light grey eyes. His eyes often half-lidded, making him seem like he has a constant sleepy or bored expression on his face.

Souma wears a black tracksuit. He leaves the jacket open, revealing a white shirt underneath with the words "CLIP THAT!" in black letters on it. He also wears gray house slippers with white ankle socks.

Personality: Souma is a rather reserved and quiet boy who's more of a listener than a talker. Though he's always curious to learn more about others and what they're passionate about, like with his passion when it comes to speedrunning games. He becomes a lot more animated and talkative when he talks about them and when he scores a world record, he becomes a lot more excitable and expressive. He's not without his silly side, though; while he usually is Takashi's impulse control and more level-headed and calmer than him; sometimes he may play along with his antics, so as long as it probably won't get them in trouble. Sometimes he jokingly dotes on his brother to tease him, but Souma truly does care for his brother and would do anything to keep him safe and happy. It's rare for him to get angry, but threatening to bring harm to/hurting his brother is a guaranteed way to make him hate or get angry at someone.

Background: Souma would often play video games with his younger brother. As he grew older, he would often watch his favorite Youtubers play video games. That also included speedruns, which he found himself growing more and more interested in. Souma would eventually try his own hand at speedrunning games, watching many tutorial videos and even purchasing retro consoles so that he can play certain games on their original hardware. For certain games he wanted to become especially good at, he practiced them for hours a day, putting in thousands of attempts. He would eventually begin to stream his attemps on his own Youtube channel where, over the years, he slowly climbed up the ranks. This made him start to become known in the speedrunning community as well with how rapidly good he was becoming. He even discovered new glitches that and performed ones that were said to be extremely difficult, if not near impossible.

His most popular speedrunning video, is one where he achieved a world record in a popular 3d platformer where it was extremely hard to set a new record with how optimized it was. This was the one he head poured many upon many hours and attempts on over many years. He played perfectly and performed all the diffiuclt glitches and tricks to shave off every possible second he could. When he won the world record, the community went wild and showered him in praise and congradulations. It was the most satisfying victory he's ever felt in his life. With him now becoming one of the most beloved and admired speedrunners around, this would also help greatly when he ran a charity speedrun to help fund his mother's surgery after she and her brother got in a bad car accident.

His multiple counts of success would soon earn him the attention of Hope's Peak, scouting him under the title of 'Ultimate Speedrunner'.

Takashi wears a yellow track suit with a design of a black thunderbolt on the back of it, along with white socks and black sports slippers. On his jacket are several pins shaped like different video game console controllers like a GameCube, a ps2, and an Xbox controller. In each ear, he wears three silver ear cuffs and a pair of studded earrings.

Personality: Takashi is a happy-go-lucky, loud, and boisterous guy who's very friendly and loves being casual with others; ... sometimes to the point where he may come off as overly friendly, but he means well. He's not one for formalities and likes to 'keep it real', as he puts it: by being honest and saying what he means, as he hates two-faced people and ones who take advantage of others. He also can be pretty flirtatious with both guys and girls, especially girls he finds cute, but he'll never continue if he's making anyone uncomfortable.

Background: Takashi was always a big video game nerd, along with his brother. One night when he was a child, he begged his mother to take him to the video game store to pick up a game during a midnight release. She eventually relented and drove him there. On the way back, however... they collided with a drunk driver. They both were taken to the hospital. Takashi's injuries healed over the course of several weeks, but his mother, who suffered the severity of the crash the most; suffered severe paralysis throughout her entire body. This devastated his brother and father, with the latter becoming more cold and distant with Takashi. Deep down, he knows it was wrong to blame him his son, but the agony of the pain his wife went through, changed him... and Takashi himself, suffered severe guilt for what happened to her, fully blaming himself for what had happened. He did not even play video games for weeks during his spiral of depression, until his brother encouraged him to play them again to help cheer himself up. And to hopefully stop blaming himself for something that was not his fault...

Over the years, Takashi became involved in the video game community; specifically in the modding one. To help pay for his mother's medical bills , Takashi created a charity mod for a very popular retro game. It was like an entire game on its own, which became very beloved by streamers and Speedrunners alike. Fans and friends alike happily donated to his charity page. That, combined with the popularity of his brother speedrunning the game, made them reach their donation goal more than successfully. With that, their mother could receive the surgery she needed to help her recover as best as she realistically could. While she still be wheelchair bound forever, the rest of her body greatly recovered. His mother was truly grateful to her sons for helping her... and as one last favor, she asked Takashi to finally forgive himself. Takashi, who always felt bad for making his mother and brother sad for blaming himself for so long... promised he would try. His father eventually came around as well, apologizing for how cold he was to him and inadvertrly blaming him as well. He forgave him as well, and finally, it felt like their family was going back to the happy one it used to be. With the success of the mod and donation, would also get Hope's Peak's attention as well, scouting Takashi under the title of 'Ultimate Modder.' Shocked and proud, he happily took the title, with the promise to continue making mods for the video game community he loves so much, to enjoy together.

Ryou wears a black gakuran uniform with white socks and brown loafers. On the jacket and pant leg's left side, is a design of pink cherry blossom flowers on a branch. He often carries a gray school bag that doubles as his art bag, with the kanji for 'love' in white coloring designed on the bag.

Personality: Ryou is a kind, but shy and introverted person, who often prefers his own space, rather than in the company of people. He's also socially awkward, often stammering when someone speaks to him, and often fears he'll just make the conversation stale or uninteresting since he's far more a listener than a talker. When it comes to talking about manga, especially shoujo, however, he becomes a lot more talkative, as he finds it rare whenever he can discuss his love for someone, so he becomes very excited when he has the chance to.

Background: Ryou used to live together with both of his parents; however, his parents had a very rocky divorce when he was 5, which resulted in his father moving out, taking his older sister with him. His mother changed after this, constantly bringing a new man home and going out on dates almost every night. He hated seeing her like this, which made their relationship grow rocky. To cope, Ryou would read romance manga and novels, as the happy couples he would see bloom in them, made his heart warm, wishing his parents could do the same... For fun, he would also write short stories and drabbles based on his favorite plots.

This hobby grew into a genuine interest in writing, leading into him creating his first true manga at the age of 14: "The Meeting at the Giant Sakura Tree." The main heroine and love interest were based on his parents, as they first met under a giant Sakura tree in their high school years, too. He submitted the first several chapters to a popular Shoujo magazine. They were so amazed by how good the first chapters were at his young age, which immediately got him scouted by the publishing company. He would then begin to create weekly chapters for the magazine until he completed the first volume. When it got published into an official manga book, it quickly flew off the shelves, much to his shock and delight. Despite that, he was still nervous about everyone knowing he likes and writes Shoujo, since he is a boy: so he goes under the pen name "Koai-sensei".

When his mother's birthday rolled around, he gifted her the first copy of his manga's first volume...hoping she will read it. He then sent one to his father and his sister when he visited them. All of them loved it.. her parents especially. Because the characters were based on them, it helped remind them of the special memories they made together, and why they fell for each other in the first place. It moved their hearts in a way where.... His mother, for the first time: came back to her senses and apologized for all the pain she caused her son, and stopped going on dates with random men for good. His parents decided to finally talk to each other and give each other another chance. He never thought his manga would have such an impact on them. He cried from happiness... And even if it might take a long while before they feel ready to re-marry, that was fine with him. As long as they receive their happy ending, that's all that mattered to him....

His next surprise would also come in the form of an invitation to Hope's Peak years later, scouting him under the title of 'Ultimate Mangaka.' More than honored to accept, he would use this opportunity to hone his writing skills even further, in the hopes that he can continue to create Shoujo manga the moves the heart of others like it did his parents.

Appearance: Hiroaki is a boy of slightly below average height with a light tan. He has freckles across his face, and often wears a straw hat either on his head or around his neck. He's also said to look 'skinnier with clothes on', as he's pretty muscular under his clothes.

Hiroaki wears a short-sleeved beige shirt with a design of a carrot on the center of it, along with green cargo pants and brown work boots. When doing farming/gardening work, he wears his work gloves he usually keeps in his bag pocket, and a straw hat.

Personality: Hiroaki is a polite and rather easygoing boy, usually going with the flow and tends to be the more reasonable one in a group of rowdier friends. Of course, he still has his moments where he goes along with the silliness, loving to laugh with and have fun with his friends. Due to having grown up in the countryside all his life, Hiroaki struggles with using high tech/modern technology, which can make him come across as a bit air-headed, and being more of an old-school kind of guy in general. He also believes healthy eating is essential, not afraid to gently scold ones who do not eat enough vegetables or eat too much unhealthy and junk food.

Background: Hiroaki grew up in the countryside with his parents and grandparents. His parents eventually labeled jobs in the city when he was around 5 years old; but because of how busy they will always be, they decided to leave Hiroaki in the village, where he would continue to be raised by his grandparents. The family also has a farm, in which Hiroaki would help tend to the crops and care for the animals. As he grew older, he would begin taking on bigger tasks on the farm, due to his grandparents growing older in age, too. When they grew a lot of fruits and vegetables, he would help sell them in stores or even with their own booth during farmer's market events.

One time, the village suffered a horrible thunderstorm that destroyed many of the farmers' crops. Right before the yearly food festival.... With the damage done to them and the soil quality, everyone was hopeless that everyone could regrow their fields on time.... But Hiroaki didn't give up. With his skills and knowledge, he was able to save not only his own field, but help his fellow farmers in fixing their soil quality, and planting and regrowing the crops in the fastest and most efficient way. Thanks to him, everyone regained the confidence to get back on their feet and get to work on fixing the village back up for the festival. Miraculously, they did, and were able to save it from being moved to next year. To Hiroaki's surprise, the mayor has secretly arranged a 'secret' at the end: that is, personally celebrating the young farmer and being thanked by the entire village, being called the hero of their town. He was gifted many items, including a special handmade necklace that was personally blessed by the village's protector goddess.

The news of what happened would reach Hope's Peak ears as well, in which Hiroaki would be scouted by them under the title of 'Ultimate Farmer.' At first, Hiroaki was hesitant about accepting the invite, worried about leaving his grandparents behind since he would have to go far away; but they assured him they will be okay, and that the other farmers even promised to help watch over them and the farm. The entire village is like family to each other, so he knew he could trust them to do so.

Personality: Susumu is a happy-go-lucky, easygoing guy, who doesn't let the small stuff bring him down. It's why any insults towards him tend to slide right off his back, even if it's sometimes he's a bit too naive to even realize he was supposed to take something as an insult.

Susumu tries to find the positives in everything, especially during bad days and moods. He hates the feeling of anger, and why he never tries to show it on his face or express it. Mostly because it's been ingrained into him as a waiter, Susumu will almost always listen to orders given to him, even if it has nothing to do with food. Long as the request is within reason and nothing bad, of course...

Background: Susumu lived in a run down apartment with his father and grandfather. To make ends meet, Susumu's father works at the restaurant right across the street from the apartment, owned by his grandfather. Since his father could not afford a babysitter for him when he was a small child, the boy would have to sit in the restaurant the entire shift at one of the tables. Eventually, his grandpa decided he could make himself useful, and once he was around the age of 10: made Susumu began doing small tasks around the restaurant such as helping to collect dirty plates off the tables, bring extra utensils and napkins for customers, etc. Even if his father disliked the thought of his child being forced to work, Susumu never had complaints; in fact, he insisted he help, no matter how.

Around 15, Susumu would officially become an employee of the restaurant, and begin earning his own pay. This helped not only bring more income in the house, but made it easier for his father to rest more, as he often became sick from severely overworking himself.. Since the restaurant also doubles as a late night bar, it often gets some rather shady or intimidating looking customers, but Susumu always had nerves of steel for his age, and never allowed himself to be scared off by these kinds of people.

His most shining moment is when the restaurant one night, had a customer that was a high profile Yakuza member. His grandfather and father were not at the restaurant that day, and everyone else was too terrified to serve him... except for Susumu. No matter how much the Yakuza man tried to test this boy, Susumu never once faltered. He gave him perfect waiting service. The man was so impressed by this, that he and his gang became regulars there, even going as far to personally protect the restaurant. The restaurant would then boom in popularity, bringing in all kinds of people who normally wouldn't visit that side of the neighborhood: even the occasional wealthy or famous person.

The raving reviews, and Susumu being the face of the restaurant, he would eventually catch Hope's Peak's attention down the line, being scouted for the title of 'Ultimate Waiter.' While he stays in the dorms primarily nowadays, he still likes visiting the restaurant when he can and taking shifts, and to visit his father and grandfather, who now lived in a house in a better looking neighborhood thanks to the restaurant making a lot more money. When other restaurants request him to work a shift, he will gladly do so for them.

Personality: Tetsuo is a lively and boisterous boy, who often helped pump up his old basketball team with his high enthusiasm. He's the type that can't leave someone alone if they're down or need help, especially with people younger than him, which makes him have a big brother-like demeanour. He's also confident, but never arrogant, in fact often being annoyed by arrogant types and ones who look dork on others, and can get riled up pretty easily by them. He actually used to be a much more shy and timid boy in the past. Background: When Tetsuo was a child, he was very shy and wasn't confident. Even at his young age of already growing a passion for basketball, he never gathered the courage to play with the other kids at public parks that had a basketball court, so he often just played by himself when no one else was around. To his surprise, the local park kids had been keeping an eye on him, and one day ‘challenged’ him to best all 5 of them in a game in 1 vs 1 matches, or else they’ll kick him out of the park. Taking their playfully cruel threat seriously, Tetsuo agreed to play against them all. Each match, he won by several points. Shocked and honestly amazed, these boys, who are actually a part of the middle school basketball team at Tetsuo’s school, practically forced him to join them. Hesitant as he was, he decided to go for it after finally seeing how fun it is to play basketball with others. He quickly became one of the best players on their team, which would carry on to high school, becoming the team’s ace player. This in turn helped immensely with his confidence, Tetsuo growing from that meek and shy boy, to a slowly more outgoing and confident one.

This would especially show when he used the combination of his basketball knowledge, skills, and belief in his team’s ability, to help them achieve victory in their biggest basketball tournament victory ever. This would also catch the attention of Hope's Peak, scouting him under the title of 'Ultimate Basketball Player.' Grateful as he was, Testuo was going to initially refused since he didn't want to leave his team, nor did he care that much about the title; but his teammates pushed him to accept it, feeling he very much earned it. They promised him that, even if he won't be part of the team anymore, that they'll always keep doing their best and not let him down. Knowing that they'll uphold that promise, he decides to accept the invitation.

Personality: Ryu is an awkward girl who struggles to socialize with people. She often comes off as a nervous wreck who stammers a lot when she speaks. Though when people are patient with her, it makes her happy and helps her try to become better at talking to them. While she is a nice girl, she constantly looks gloomy, which makes her give off the appearance of someone unapproachable, with the frown she often wears on her face not helping with that fact. She also tends to have very quiet footsteps, which makes her accidentally scare people when she approaches them from behind. Background: Ryu used to live together with her brother and parents, before their parents separated and their dad took her with them. This crushed her, as she did not want to be separated from her brother. They would often keep in contact through phone or emails. She would hear how much their mom changed, which crushed her... and their father changed as well, becoming cold and while he still loved his children dearly, he still wasn't the same warmer, kinder dad that she knew...

She, along with her parents, were the first people to receive a copy of Ryou's first published manga. She was blown away by how wonderful it was, to the point where her parents decided to give their relationship a second chance, much to her relief. She was proud of her brother for getting into Hope's Peak, even if a bit sad since that meant they were going to be at different schools, now; and so, she begged her father to at least help her get into the reserve course. Feeling he owed her for the pain he and their mother put them through, he complied, and helped pay the high tuition to enter it.

While Ryu doesn't personally care about the possibility of getting into the main course or not, she hopes that her brother will be okay there, and that the school will help him hone his talents. If she were to possibly gain a talent, she would love for it to be related for her interest in folklores, especially ones pertaining to yokais.

While exploring different caves when he was in Africa, he unearthed an ancient relic to study it. ...Which, unbeknownst to him, was actually a cursed relic. He found himself plagued with only inhumane levels of good luck, but with just as much bad luck, too. He would have returned the relic from where he got it, but he forgot which cave it was from, and it would have been impossible to search through each and every one before he would need to return. He vows to find that cave someday, to at least free his daughter from such a curse...

But fate would finally play in her favor for once. It was day three of her bad luck cycle. Everything that could go wrong, did, as usual... it was also supposed to be the day the lottery winner for getting into Hope's Peak would be announced. She was one of many people for drew a raffle. Naturally, she had no hope of getting in, knowing her bad luck probably lowered her chances to a complete 0... but funnily enough, the results, for some unknown reason, were delayed until further notice. Something she also felt was just her luck.... The following day, however, beginning day one of her good luck cycle... she receives a letter in the mail. To her shock, it was a letter detailing that she won the draw and was invited to attend Hope's Peak. She couldn't believe it; a miracle finally happens for her! She immediately accepts, further encouraged by her dad to attend. While she was worried about leaving him be, since he still suffers from bad luck, he assured her not to worry about him, and that he will continue to work hard to break the curse on both of them.

With his reassurance, Lillie embarks on the trip to Japan so she can attend the school under the title of 'Ultimate Lucky Student.' While she may not possess a true talent of her own, she also hopes to find a way to help break the curse on both her and her father or at least alleviate the number of days they suffer from bad luck..

Mimi witnessed the entire thing. It traumatized the then 10 year-old deeply, and for an entire year, the group did not do another performance...but Mimi didn't want the troupe to disband. She wanted to help keep her parents' dreams alive.... and so she asked her grandpa, former ringmaster of the troupe in his prime, if he could help teach her how to become an acrobat. Proud of her strong will, he brought the group back together and demanded they only not keep performing, but to help train Mimi, their future ringmaster.

Over several years, she would not only learn and perfect her acrobat skills, but also learn a mix of everything on the side, too. Her first true chance to shine would be at 15, putting on her biggest performance yet as she showed off her acrobatic and tightrope walking skills. Background: Hanako grew up with her parents in an apartment. Her parents worked at the same office building together, though in different sections. Due to her father being a nice and attractive man, he was often popular with his female colleagues, though he was always a very loyal and honest man, so he never accepted their advances. Even some married women tried to flirt with him but were naturally turned down. One especially obsessive woman, bitter and angry that he rejected her, decided to go to her husband and lie that her father was the one making inappropriate advances at her. Enraged, the man confronted her dad, who was naturally very confused as what was going on and tried to explain that it was him rejecting her. Unsurprisingly, the man did not believe him, and due to the woman being known as one of the 'kindest' and 'sweetest' women in the office, which of course was not true, everyone believed her. Due to this, he was fired, and, after his wife found out what happened, was so disgusted with him that she immediately filed for divorce. But the darker truth... was that his wife, herself, had also been disloyal behind his back. Even she knew he would never do such a thing to her, but she used 'divorce' as the perfect excuse to get rid of him.

With his job gone, reputation ruined, and his wife leaving him... it sent him in a state of severe depression. Hanako, just seven years old at the time, was horrified to learn what happened. She knows her father would never hurt her mother. She was angry with her mother for not believing in him and especially for leaving both him and essentially abandoning her since she moved out of their apartment. Hanako, wanting to learn the actual truth for herself, called one of her father's closest friends and begged him to look into it. Being like an uncle to Hanako, he agreed, and hired a detective to look into it. That is when the truth would come out. Not only was that woman exposed for being a liar and a cheater, but his own wife was exposed for being one, herself, which only broke him worse... and Hanako's hatred for her mother only deepening. She would never forgive her...

Her father was grateful to his friend and the detective for helping him, and for his precious daughter for going this far for him. Still, even with the truth out there, and everyone apologizing to him for doubting him... he was still far too depressed to feel ready to go back to work. Hanako couldn't stand to see him like this... and so with the cleaning and cooking knowledge she picked up from both her parents, she helped take care of the chores. For her age, she was surprisingly good at it and was even able to make full on meals that would normally be too difficult for a child her age to make.

Bit by bit, her father's mood and heart were healing. Even if his wife hurt him and his daughter greatly... he still has Hanako by his side. That alone helped him gain his strength back. He returned back to his job. Due to his kind nature, he forgave everyone who doubted him, understanding that they were the ones who were manipulated by that evil woman. They even had a welcoming party for him, in which Hanako was invited to. They were all so proud of her for being so strong and helping her father and apologized to her as well for feeling partially responsible for his depression spiral. Hanako forgave them, too... because they forgave her father and promised her that they will never doubt him like that, again.

Then to both her and her father's surprise, Hanako would receive an invitation to join Hope's Peak's elementary division under the title of 'L'il Ultimate Home Economics.' Gleefully she accepts, with the hopes of getting into the Main Division once she's old enough. Though the mischievous girl does often sneak her way into the main building, anyway, especially to see her friends in class 80..
