Well guys.

MLQC was fun while it lasted for me. With the removal of Sean (Kiro) and Joe (Gavin) from the new chapters, and continued silence from the game developers, it's safe to say my interest in this game is done.

I don't have a grudge against anyone who does continue! I'm not going to be mad at anyone who doesn't want to leave the game. This is my choice and someone else will have a different one.

My hopes for a solution are gone. No, I don't think our server will shut down. It's clear from the comments on Facebook and Insta and Twitter that the majority are willing to accept whatever changes are necessary to keep the game available, so I don't think those of you who intend to keep playing have anything to worry about.

This has been a whirlwind morning. Hope you guys are doing okay.

When I heard about that they fired jonah for that I immediately deleted the game and u unfollowed them everywhere. Not in my household.

Yeah I agree. I’m just going to give them the benefit of the doubt for now because Bill did say things are getting sorted. However if they do not reinstate Jonah/the other guys don’t return, I will be done with the game. Just waiting to see.

I hope Bill is doing okay, he is the oldest one of the four and I think he might have more to lose from this than the others so I understand if he's not direct with his stance (not that he has to have any if he chooses to do so).

Yess!! The VAs gave a life to our beloved characters and we all are here because of our genuine love for them and I'm so glad that there will still be talented contributors to the fandom who will still dream up of ways to share the love and their talent. It's sad but it is what is.

I was asked this yesterday but I wanted to clarify! With all that's happening right now I know the MLQC fandom is in pretty bad shape. Please know that we're all in this together and my messages are open if anyone wants to talk. Even if many of you drop the game I hope that we can all still communicate and talk. I've gotten to know many good people here who are so talented and amazing. I don't want to lose you guys!

That being said I will not stop writing for MLQC. I'll make posts when I can and I hope you all can find joy in my writing. I want to be a light for you all during this dark time. Until then, wait for me, my loves. We're going to get through this together.

Here’s what we are NOT going to do:

1. Do not, I repeat DO NOT harass Bill for not saying anything/not immediately quitting like the other voice actors are. Unlike Joe, Sean and Aleks...Bill might need Lucien than the other guys need their characters. What he just posted was very classy and supportive in my opinion. Again, DO NOT harass him for not doing what the other guys are doing. Seriously.

2. If you’re posting and commenting telling Americans that they just need to accept what China does with their censorship/“it’s how things are, just accept it” you need to stop. I respect everyone’s opinion and y’all need to respect the fact that we don’t believe in censorship and we don’t support a government that literally tries to control everything, even what people say. That’s a big ass no from me and I’m sure many others feel the same. Believe what you want but DO NOT tell me to accept the crap that is happening right now. I’m not attacking anyone who says to just accept it but I’ve seen a lot of people go after people who are upset about the situation. That’s not right whatsoever.

3. Again trying to say what happened to Jonah was warranted when they had NO LEGAL RIGHT to fire someone over the fact that Taiwan is its own freaking country. Google it, it’s there in black and white. Also saying that Americans don’t see/recognize Taiwan as a country? Ummm yes we do. If you aren’t American you shouldn’t be putting words in our mouth either. I’m so confused by everyone posting and commenting false information about my country? Like I know the US has issues and we’ve made many mistakes, but we will always support those who want to be their own people, country and have their own democracy. Always.

4. And lastly for the people saying what is going on isn’t a big deal or that they are still going to play the game....please, PLEASE from the bottom of my heart educate yourself on the situation and the China vs Taiwan dispute. At the end of the day, it is your own decision on what you do...but what happened to Jonah is not right. None of it. The other voice actors quitting is proof of that and I am begging you to please just educate yourself or wait to see what happens. Everyone should care about what’s going on and it’s disheartening to see people not care.

We are sorry to inform all players that Jonah Scott recently has released an online statement containing incorrect facts which we do not agree with, as a result, after careful considerations, Mr Love: Queen's Choice has decided to end the contract with Jonah Scott.

All voiced content by Jonah Scott will become unavailable and we are sorry that this might affect the game experience.

We are now in search of a new voice actor and we will re-record and replace all voice material. As it will take time and resources to cast a new voice actor, sign a contract and replace all voiced contents, recently the relevant Victor stories will only be available in text.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Once again, we would like to apologize for the impact of changing the voice actor. Thank you for your understanding and support.

honestly, just give mlqc the chinese dub. the jp dub is incomplete, we don't have complete english voice actors... give us the chinese dub so we can hear victor still. mldd has it. clearly it's possible to have!

I want to thank everyone for their support, reblogs, and love. However with the direction this game is going and my lack of time to commit to it. I shall be putting this blog on hiatus and repurposing it to something else. I won't be producing content for MLQC again, nor will I be interacting with it.

Actually upset Jonah was doing such a good job as victor too in my opinion but … we’ll see what happens next I guess sucks we won’t have voice for victor in the new chapters def won’t be reading them right away to be honest

So I’m sure most international MLQC fans know about the news, but Victor’s new VA Jonah Scott just got fired after tweeting “Good morning, Taiwan is a country!”

As someone who is Taiwanese 🇹🇼, I am beyond livid about what happened here. Although I don’t know if what PG did was due to being worried about the consequences they would face if they continued working with Jonah Scott or because they really believe what he stated was false. But I find it hard for me to continue supporting a game that thinks oppression is something they’re ok with.

I mean just look at what happened to Hong Kong. One of my friends in Taiwan told me that an upperclassman from her college was doing an exchange student program in China and nothing about the Hong Kong protests were reported, she didn’t know anything about it until she visited Taiwan during her break.

Jonah is literally being harassed on Twitter by rabid Chinese fans who are literally cursing him out and calling him very inappropriate names.

This isn’t the first time this has happened:

1. Pewdiepie spoke out about supporting Hong Kong because of the protests in one of his videos and now he’s banned in China. Everything about him has been taken down and vanished into thin air.

2. Zedd the musician literally tweeted a picture of South Park and got banned from China over it too.

3. My Hero Academia is currently banned in China after the author named a character Maruta Shiga, and Maruta was used as a code name during War that involved the Japanese torturing and hurting many Chinese and Koreans. My personal opinion on this is that in no way did Horikoshi know or intended for the naming to be referencing the code name, if anything he probably didn’t even know about it, and because of this, Chinese fans attacked him on Twitter on top of sending death threats to over this. He immediately apologized and had the name changed but Chinese fans basically refuse to accept his apology and no longer support him.

Anyway thanks for reading and go show Jonah some love, he does not deserve any of the slander thrown at him by Chinese trolls.
