there's a massive debate on twitter right now about how harmful (the concept of) sexualizing nuns is

I thought we all knew that religious-mandated chastity is sexualization, so is objectifying real people who don't want to be objectified, again though this isn't about real people, this is about putting a character into a costume

not a single real nun objected to the tweet, but I kept seeing radfems and antis agree with each other

and here I thought antis were progressive /s

I genuinely believe that some people could encounter a button that says “if you push this button everyone in the world has the opportunity to live a better life and your life remains exactly the same” and they would not push it.

They’d be like “well that button’s not fair to me, though,” even though there’s literally no other buttons around and nothing newly bad would happen to them if the button was pushed.

There was a new LGBT+ acronym, and it was twig etc. (it had to be in lowercase for some reason). It stood for trans, Welsh, intersex, and gay. Everyone else was etc. It was very controversial.

Must admit that one thing that changed the way I see fandom discourse is realizing that a lot of fandom is just… playing with dolls. We're playing with dolls. Shipping? Playing with dolls. AUs? Dolls. Darkfic? Dolls.

Lotta people very agitated about the other kids playing with dolls wrong.
