honestly welsh never really had the time to think too much about the fact that he’s an orphan. he’s got a lot of work to do, the village loves him, so it’s all fine.

He was no king. He was just a friend, there for a friend in need.  That’s all Hop needed right now and that’s all Welsh wanted to be.

When the man finds the boy, he is but cowering in the very back of an alley in which he had been cornered. The city wasn’t for him, he had thought, and while he did try to stand up for himself -- outnumbered, overpowered, soon enough, Welsh had fallen on his knees ...

Welsh first peers past the arms covering his face with stupor in his eyes, before carefully lowering both lims.
