A fun way to get yourself to do chores when you have adhd is to simulate a sense of panic by setting horrible deadlines that fit into other things that you’re doing.

For example, you set up a kettle of water to boil for your tea. Quick! Wipe down the whole counter before it’s done boiling, for the love of god you’re running out of time! Wipe it down! The water is almost boiling.

The water is boiling and your counter is clean. Now set your timer for your tea for three minutes and of my god there’s cups in your room! Quick! Get all the cups from everywhere in the house! Run! You’ve only got three minutes! Get all the dishes into the kitchen!

Oh would you look at that. You got all the dishes in the sink and now your tea is ready. Nice. Now you can chill with your tea.

I’ve found that little stuff like that helps me. Forcing myself into unexpected last minute deadlines. It fills up empty space and my house is a little bit cleaner.

MDZS Fans Against Hate is run by one person—that’s me, Vex—with the help of two street team members (Alex and Chui).  All merchandise auctioned off was my own.  83 people registered for the auction and I managed to auction off 48 items total.  All packages were shipped out to the winners as of May 12th (which was one day after I received the final proof of donation and well before the May 31st deadline for shipping out merch).

When I first started this project, I expected to raise maybe $500 to $750.  You all have managed to truly exceed my expectations.  Thank you so much.  ♥

103 killed, of which 27 are children, and 580 injured from the Israeli attacks today on Gaza. Today, Eid Al-Fitr, one of the two Islamic festivals.

And another attack is taking place this minute.

I have nothing to say right now. I was planning on making a series of posts to explain the history and reply to all the Israeli comments on my posts to help clear the situation to those who are confused. I just can’t stop crying and go type right now. I will just translate to you what was said to us by a Palestinian sister.

“ I am ok for now. I am staying in the safest room in our house where there are no windows. We’ve put planks on the ground and the entire family is staying together in one place, So if we get attacked we either all die together or live together. Death to me is easier that losing any of them.”

I know it can get overwhelming, but you need to understand once you stop, it gets forgotten. That's how it's been going all these years. It doesn't matter if your followers dont read the whole post but atleast people need to be aware that the issue isn't over. It wasn't a 2- day trend.

Don't let this be another case of 'out of sight, out of mind'. We can no longer afford to be ignorant of the lives of innocent people. Of children.

Palestine lives have been forgotten for years but not this time. Not again. Not till Palestine is free. 🇵🇸

Same with other issues as well. Rohingya, Colombia, Kashmir, Afghanistan, Uyghur Muslims, Yemen, African-Americans, Asians, literally anything. You don't need to spam but don't let issues be forgotten.

guys things are getting worse, the situation is hell, cops are shooting inside the houses, throwing gases inside the public transport, they are dressep up as civilians turning people against each other telling them that the ones who are protesting are actually paramilitaries, they are killing, raping and disappearing people (children too) because that's the order that has been given.

We are asking to share everywhere what is happening here, NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING ABT THIS, WHAT ELSE DO WE DO BESIDES SHARE WHAT WE CAN CAUSE WE ARE BEING SILENCED BY THE MEDIA AS WELL. THEY ARE KILLING US AND NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING.

So, hello. I'm using my platform here now to inform about what's happening in my country. I'm from Cali, Colombia. The city that's been burning for 5 days now and being massacred by its own government.

We need your help to spread awareness on this. As of yet, there hasn't been a lot of international news coverage about it, and our own news are too biased in favor of the government to be of any help.

How did it all start?

On April 28, a national strike was called for people to raise their voices against a tax and health reforms proposed by president Iván Duque, during an economic and social crisis exacerbated by the covid-19 pandemic.

Among other things, this reform wanted to tax us for funeral services (during a pandemic). They also wanted to increase the price of food and water, when most of the population has a salary that does not allow a family to live with dignity. Moreover, another nefastous health reform has yet to be taken down.

But the response of the national government to these protests has been to deploy military forces against the civilian population. A violent, disproportionate, and arbitrary action that incurs in serious human rights violations. My city, Santiago de Cali, has been one of the most affected places. During the night hours of the last few days, in different areas of the city, the police and the mobile anti-riot squad (ESMAD) have burst into peaceful demonstrations attacking with firearms, tear gas, and leaving a balance of dead and wounded that has not yet been counted. They have also captured many demonstrators, some of whose whereabouts are unknown.

My state is threatening the lives of the Colombian population in full view of the world. Please, don't let them silence us!
