So you know how I said in Vivian's intro post that she was a reverse class traitor?

Yeah anyways let me explain:

After getting rich and famous due to Circumstances, she stayed loyal to the working class, using her status to Actually Help People as well as get into events and gather info on whatever messed up things the ruling class is up to. (And proceed to take them down as her vigilante identity, as implied in the second panel.)

Character Introduction #3

I’m running out of creative things to put here already help- 

But whatever you came here to learn about the made up people in my brain so here’s Lia, codename Aether

- fun fact: she's the very first character I made for this universe when I was 13 and wanted an OC that wasn’t for an existing fandom.

- generally has an energetic, bubbly personality, and is surprisingly optimistic for the world she lives in, but is not to be underestimated. 

- she's always willing to stand up for what’s right, and has been physically restrained from fighting someone by her friends on multiple occasions.

- basically the "unhinged short person" trope

- I haven't decided on a character arc for her yet, but it'll probably be some sort of coming-of-age thing and/or learning to balance her responsibilites as a hero with a busy college life (and beyond).

- of course, when she got her powers, she jumped at the chance to make the world a better place by fighting for change. she’s more enthusiastic about it than the previous 2 characters, fully embracing her new role.

- said powers are manipulating/creating matter and light (?) it’s hard to explain so think of it as like the more advanced version of a generic energy blast that can take on other forms, plus the ability to change surrounding objects' shape/state of matter.

- was one of the first to have an online presence, where she posts about her battles, as well as general activism stuff and advocating for the rights of other people with abilities like her. (which I also need a name for in this universe but I’m working on it) 

- at first, the others mistakenly assumed she was a glorified influencer who didn’t take her job seriously enough, but eventually after actually meeting and working with her, she managed to convince them otherwise and earn their trust.

- one of the “kids” I mentioned in the last post though she insists she's a responsible adult that can look after herself (she’s 18 at the beginning of the story so like, just barely)

- was the one who came up with the idea of starting The team. (which I will talk more about in the Timeline Post.)

Character Introduction #2

Still trying to get used to talking about my OCs, but anyways uhhh

This is Spencer, otherwise known as Singularity. 

- the definition of confused twentysomething who’s still figuring out adulthood and is already tired of it. 

- not much to say about his civilian life, he’s just some guy (gender neutral)

- a bit socially awkward and introverted, and generally just wants to keep his head down and live a simple and normal life as a photographer? astronomer? artist? (I haven’t decided on his job yet but it’ll probably be something along those lines.)

- unfortunately the universe had other plans and gave them gravity/spacetime manipulation powers. as you can guess, they were not happy about being the chosen one and tried to refuse the call, so to speak. 

- eventually realized that someone had to protect the city and, being the only super-person there at the time, reluctantly stepped up to do it. 

- his character arc is all about learning to accept change and be himself, as well as standing up for himself and others

- is repressing himself due to unspecified childhood trauma, and his parents being all “just ignore it” when he brought it up to them, which is why he wants to live as normally as possible like I said above

- everyone thinks they’re (as Singularity) all cool and broody and mysterious, but really they just don’t like talking to people

- second oldest on The team (which doesn’t have a name yet unfortunately) and the other mentor figure. unlike Vivian, they’re more like a tired-parent-that-loves-their-kids-but-wishes-they-would-stay-out-of-trouble type and is slightly more outwardly caring. 

- his abilities are, more specifically, flight, somewhat limited telekinesis, and compressing things into tiny black holes, the latter being where he got his name

- used to be scared of heights, ironically. due to the nature of their powers, they had to go through a whole character arc to overcome it, but they still prefer to stay grounded or at least not suspended in the air for long periods of time.

- didn’t put much effort into their codename and lowkey regrets choosing it lol

The Moment You’ve All Been Waiting For (Character Introduction #1)

Meet Vivian (Vivienne? Vivianne? I haven't decided on the spelling yet), aka Voltage (not sure about that either). She’s one of the first characters I made, though not the first, and one of the "main characters" of the Identities universe. 

Anyways, here’s all the info I have so far: 

- is literally the whole reason superheroes exist in her universe. (I'll explain in the Very Long And Detailed Timeline Post I'm working on.)

- personality-wise, is emotionally closed off and not willing to show vulnerability but slowly opens up over the course of the story and learns to show affection in her own way. (granted, it’s more of a tough-love kind of thing, but still.) 

- her biggest flaw is feeling like she can (and has to) handle everything on her own, but she also learns to accept help and trust others over the course of her character arc.

- is the oldest on The team (not to be confused with her own), and their mentor figure/braincell holder. 

- is wealthy, not the billionaire kind but the can-afford-rent-in-LA kind if you know what I mean, and lowkey a reverse class traitor (/j)

- actually grew up poor, but got money through... Circumstances (which I will explain in the Timeline Post), and after said circumstances/her origin story, became kind of a local celebrity and public figure 

- puts on a more cleaned-up, polite, #girlboss persona for the press/camera, but isn’t afraid to call out what needs to be. 

- is the exact opposite as her alter ego, being Unhinged and having a reputation for violence, and willing to do anything for justice even if it means pushing the limits of her “good guy” status. 

- despite this, or maybe because of this, her first priority is always the safety of her community. 

- skilled in both long and short-range combat due to her upbringing, and is one of the few to use real weapons in the field.

- her powers are technopathy (technokinesis? whatever it’s called) and some sort of electricity thing, and I haven’t decided whether they’re Actual Powers or just fancy weapons

- actually got her powers after becoming a hero (because I don’t think I’ve seen that trope before and wanted to do something creative ig), which I will elaborate on later

Well, here I am. It’s been a while, but I finally got a sideblog set up where I can talk about the made-up people that live rent free in my head. 

Posting will be slow, and it’ll be messy, but I’m trying.
