after over a year of dealing with this, I finally got a refund for the commission, since it was never actually completed - however, I still can't look at Mavis because I get unreasonably and overwhelmingly disappointed thinking about her/that experience, which means I'm likely going to scrap everything and Start Over™ in hopes of rekindling my love for the game since I legit haven't touched it in months because of how pathetic I feel thinking about the energy I've wasted through this entire process whenever I boot it up! it's been a harrowing couple of months on my end for unrelated reasons, and I am incredibly bitter that something that brought me such joy as an outlet for creativity turned into something I can't even touch during a time when I desperately needed it - I hope that can change since things are on the up and up otherwise, but by god do I want to scream endlessly

my partner was very excited for me to wake up this morning because he is finally playing dress up with the companions (dye and all!) so he can complete his honour mode run in style, but it was very funny that as I am groggily opening my eyes he is just there, bright eyed and bushy tailed, grinning and saying "babes I got you applesauce for your meds - do you want to go virtual shopping with me in Baldur's Gate before I cook us breakfast" with the biggest puppy eyes
