I won’t be able to participate for this big bang and I know it’s early but will y’all be doing this again next year? Also, do you know if there will be a reverse bang this year, too?

The Galra reverse bb is run by a different team of mods, so you might want to send them a message to find out if one will be running.

One quick announcement ~ due to the schedule of the mod team, we will be compiling submitted summaries for Claims the weekend of 3/8 - 3/10. Writers, you’ll have a little bit more time to prepare your summaries and submit  HERE.

Artist Claims will open Monday 3/11 - Thursday 3/14. All completed summaries must be received no later than Friday 3/8 to be included in the Artist Claims. We will proceed, as scheduled, with sending out Writer/Artist pair emails 3/18 - 3/20.

If you have any questions, please let the mods know. Also, if you haven’t received your discord invite or your invite has expired, reach out to the mod team as well. We can be reached via ask here, email or the discord (if you’re already in it).

Good evening!

To all GBB Writers, we will be starting the Summary period tomorrow - February 25, so get your submissions ready and head on over HERE to fill out the form. You do not need to verify any word counts with the mods for this milestone. Please make sure your summaries are a max of 250 words. If you’d like to entice your future artist further, you’re welcome to post up to 300 words of your WIP. (Please keep it sfw). The excerpt is optional, but the summary is required.

If you’re an artist and would like to participate in the bang, we are still looking for a few additional participants to balance out the writers, and you can apply HERE . We will keep artist applications open until March 8, the day before Claims open.

Lastly, all emails for the Discord server have gone out, so please check your emails for the link or message/email a mod if something doesn’t seem to be working properly.

Hey, I am really for this but a few personal issues have cropped up over the last week and I dont think I will be able to participate in the big bang anymore. How would I go about withdrawing? (sorry if this has been answered, I cannot check the about page due to being a mobile user)

Do we send in a summary if we signed up as a writer, or is there a specific list of people who are in it from those who applied? I guess what I'm asking is does everyone who signed up automatically get in?

Hello! If you’ve signed up to participate, then you’re a participant. When it’s time to submit summaries, there will be a google form to complete with the information. This post talks about reviewing the requirements on the summary form. The confirmed participant list will be posted after the claims. Thank you for asking!

Writer sign-ups for the GBB are now closed! Thank you to everyone who signed up -- now’s the time to start working on those summaries due at the end of the month! If you’d like to review what’s required for your summary, please head over to the form HERE.

Any requirements for the bang are listed in the rules page. Those pertain more to the piece(s) you’ll complete and how to post. There are no restrictions or requirements to sign up and be a part of the event. Sorry for the delay in answering, this ask didn’t show up until today’s login to the blog. Hi there! It is totally not silly for you to ask. There are no restrictions on participating in the bang. All we ask is that you fully complete the application so we can have you on the roster. About how many writers and artists have signed up? I’d like to sign up for the role with less people to help balance things out if that’s okay ^^

That is totally okay! We are leaving the apps open due to tumblr not showing us asks, but we currently have about 5-6 more writers than artists. So if you are able and interested to sign up as an artist, that would be fantastic! Thank you for checking!

Hey everyone!

There will be a slight change to the schedule - no one who has already signed up is affected. The mods have just discovered a backlog of asks that tumblr did not show on previous logins to the blog, and we’d like the chance to answer them and hold apps open in case folks were waiting to apply based on those answers. Therefore, apps will close officially on Thursday 2/7/19.

To anyone that sent an ask we haven’t answered, we truly apologize. This blog has been checked since December, and those asks did not show up for us. They will be answered today.
