This is the Jellyfish Nebula! 🐟🐟🐟
This nebula is a huge supernova remnant located 5000 ly away from Earth. In the center of this nebula, there is a pulsar that is producing x-rays that are moving the nebula to the left! ⚔⚔⚔
Taken by me (Michelle Park) using the Slooh Canary Two telescope on December 20th, 2020 at 22:46 UTC.

Here is more close-up photo of the Jupiter-Saturn Conjunction! 🪐🪐🪐
I was able to take a picture when the 2 planets were at their closest! The small dots around the 2 planets are actually moons of the planets - I can’t believe I was able to photograph them! šŸŒ™šŸŒ™šŸŒ™
The last viewable conjunction where the planets were this close was in the year 1226! It’s amazing we were able to see this within our lifetime! šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€

This is the Eight-Burst Nebula! 🌈🌈🌈
At the center of this beautiful planetary nebula is not one star but actually two stars that are orbiting one another! This nebula, however, is so far south that it’s really difficult for many people to see so you might not see it in the night sky. 🪐🪐🪐
Taken by me (Michelle Park) using the Slooh Chile One telescope on December 10th, 2020 at 6:37 UTC.

Fuck Santa, Here’s the South Pole (of Jupiter)
I processed this using raw data from NASA’s Juno mission (the JunoCam).Ā  You can see several circumpolar (and apocalyptic) hurricanes populating the southern pole

Types of flowers langblrs have in their garden...
chamomile early morning study sessions, drinks tea instead of coffee, tells their friend what something is in x language because they! know! it!Ā even when no one asked, gets nervous when they need to speak, posts vocabulary lists
lavendersĀ has a fully planned out schedule, very organized, utilizes their time efficiently, has their goals written down, probably achieves them in time or even before they planned, posts infographics about studying
daisiesĀ language challenges, studying their target language when they have the time, can speak and listen better than they write and read, gives compliments in their target language to see people blush, has a playlist of songs in their target language
rosesĀ learning a romance language, dark academia, reads in their target language in public on purpose, orders coffee for the aesthetic but actually likes it, planning a trip to where their target language is spoken
liliesĀ spends more time learning about culture than actually learning it, was actually pulled into studying their target language, but makes an effort for how excited their friend is once they say something, probably tried showed off in front of said friend by ordering food in that language
dandelionsĀ tries to cover all their languages everyday, can’t help but add another course on your duolingo toĀ ā€˜try it out’, sprouts random words when someone asks them to say something in x because they won’t know if it’s grammatically correct anyways, actually likes grammar
hydrangeas reblogs vocabulary lists forĀ ā€˜later’, probably lurked around the community before joining, hoards resources, learning through tv shows, dramas, anime, etc., trying their best, always going back to a language app when you don’t have the time to study *cough* duolingo *cough*
What flowers do you have in your garden?? It doesn’t have to only be one!
I have a chamomile dominant garden, with 2 daisies, a few hydrangeas and one lily, rose, and dandelion. (this makes me want a cup of chamomile tea so bad (“。_。`)Ā )
Taglist: @oreos-and-pepitos @lagom-languages @breadlanguages @ddalgiskoreanblog @thefakepolyglotĀ @yukikoekahara and anyone who wants to do it!! (you don’t have to tho uwu)
~feel free to add more flowers~
