i love how this scene encapsulates their casual day to day partnership so well actually
#videos#supernatural#this scene makes the show look like it has funny witty writing which is false advertising

Permafrost mummies! All these creatures represent a real animal found preserved in the permafrost. There's something so fragile and special about the earth and ice reuniting us with an animal our ancestors would have been so familiar with, that shit makes me cry.

Recently discovered, fully by accident, that the trick to feeling like you have more time in the day is to actually do shit with the time that's there, which seems fake and wrong and it's frankly infuriating that it works >:|

a funny thing about having a Problematic Blorbo is that you'll periodically come across a post along the lines of "um let's not forget that [Blorbo] is a bad person..." listing their various crimes, and if you have a modicum of intellectual honesty you find yourself nodding along and saying yeah it's true... but it's the greyness of their character that makes them so compelling... At the same time though you have a little Saul Goodman in your ear going "your honor in their defense: who cares like omfgggg who caresssssss like come onnnnnn"

we seriously need to stop conceding to the personhood trap when it comes to abortion rights. is a fetus a person? thats a spiritual question. i dont care about the answer. should another person dictate what someone can do with their body? simple answer: no.
#similarly i think a lot of arguments about how having sex doesn't mean you're obligated to be responsible for a child are a dead end#because it kinda does - if you're not the pregnant partner it does#the pregnant person doesn't get the decision of abortion as a mere matter of not having to be responsible for a child#it's about bodily autonomy#once that child is born both parents have equal responsibility#and “i just had sex i didn't want a child” isn't a valid argument then#the reason it is during the pregnancy is because pregnancy is such a HUGE imposition on the right to one's own body#it's completely seperate from any discussion about responsibility and personhood#bodily autonomy just overrules all that#and focusing on other points can weaken the argument and inadvertently strengthen arguments against things like child support#abortion rights are about bodily autonomy. full stop.

hey sorry not to be an asshole but I saw someone say that a sports team posting about pride month was "pandering" and I need you to log off and touch grass because now more than EVER it's important that large institutions (and especially those that could easily be right wing like sports teams) show the fuck up for queer and trans people. especially trans people. so no it is not "pandering" to take a stand for a marginalized group of people that are currently under attack for trying to play sports. be so fucking for real

I think more historical fantasies and alt histories that have gay marriage be allowed should mess around with the societal implications of this. If your aristocracy allows gay marriage, why? As a release valve for inheritance problems, like monasticism was in parts of medieval Europe? As a way of removing your failchild from the line of succession by legally binding them to the failchild of your political ally, ensuring any offspring they both have will be illegitimate? How about a society where the lower classes are allowed to be gay but the nobility aren’t? Idk there’s just a lot of options that are more interesting than “homophobia just doesn’t real”
#more failchild x failchild arranged marriage NOW#hmmmm what about a setting where inheritance of titles is much more of a matter of choosing your successor#like maybe in the absence of other orders it defaults to the eldest child but it's actually common for a noble to designate someone#a child or someone else#like obviously this is a thing that has happened in history (and still happens) but if it's like the most common way of succession#like just having a lot less of an emphasis on bloodlines#and more on the wisdom of the person to choose who should inherit their position at the event of their death#maybe i'll incorporate this into my fantasy setting 🤔
