Not panels, but a floorplan (drawn on my panel template) so I can figure out this gas station scene. I'm bad at camera logic without using some sort of map to ground myself, otherwise it turns into a mess. And if the comic comes back here I'll have a map to make drawing it again easier.

I have a sore throat and some other stuff...stopped my inking process dead, but gave me time to finally read something. The only other Dick I've read is electric sheep, but I like his work quite a lot. The muted, more subtle aspects of his writing make him anathema to TV and movies, but we keep on trying to twist these books into blockbusters.

You'd think this would be an easy page but this is the second time I've inked it. (The crack lacked depth the first time.)

I thought inking 40 pages as one big batch would be fun but it never ends!

Bob has this ponytail because I wanted to reflect that nerds have infuriatingly good hair sometimes. He uses horse shampoo. Erin, meanwhile, struggles with hair thickness because she lives a life of the mind.

The digital pipeline for Timm's stuff has gotten so ugly and I know it doesn't have to be that way. I don't know why I expected anything other than more of the straight to video DC aesthetic. Character designs look kinda cool though.

Ink over the previous pencils. Did some more work on it. Bob is a big dude so the drawing needed another anatomy pass on his back/arms.

These were silhouettes to save time. Except making a simpler page means I hyper focus on the remaining aspects of the drawing, saving no time.

This was one of the first things I fully inked with those Pentel Sign brush pens. I'm constantly surprised how versatile those pens are.

Looking up smart guy stuff like "baseball bat how long" to finish my art before inking. Page 40! Gonna have to start scanning stuff soon so I can tone and letter.

For the purposes of copyright I made this car up and definitely don't have a little toy of it with working doors that I need for everything.

I'll finally be out of the car in like...five pages. Then I can live like a king.
