A warm smile played at Maggie’s features as she gazed at herself in the bathroom mirror, brushing out her vibrant pink with her fingers. Today was the day she could tell Clyde about their unborn child now that she knew with certainty that she was pregnant. At first, shifts in her mood emerged followed by her period ceasing to come. Her cheap, at-home tests each came back positive. She followed up with a secret trip to the hospital with the excuse that she was going out with some friends.
She was absolutely exhilarated at the news that she was, in fact, pregnant with her and Clyde’s first child together. The wedding was arriving soon which in and of itself came with a plethora of things to pressure her. But learning of the baby was enough to soothe much of her worries away. Their lives together seemed like it had just been beginning, as they soon could call one another husband and wife, as well as two happy parents.
For the longest time, Clyde had expressed his life long dream of starting a family. And with her own admiration of children, Maggie was certain that they were ready to raise a child together. To imagine tiny carbon copies of the man running around was amazing. Stars, she had high hopes the child would look like him. With those memorizing honey brown eyes to the wavy, raven black hair; their baby was bound to be the cutest little thing!
From the kitchen, the savory aroma of breakfast made its way to the bathroom of their master bedroom. With it being a Saturday, Clyde went out of his way to make a meal to start out the day for the two to share. He loved to cook for his fiance even if he was not exactly the best cook. He made do with his skills, especially so with breakfast. To imagine tiny carbon copies of the man running around was simply amazing. Stars, she had high hopes that the child would look exactly like him. With those memorizing honey-brown eyes of his to the wavy, raven black hair; their baby was bound to be the cutest little thing!
From the kitchen, the savory aroma of breakfast made its way to the bathroom of their master bedroom. With it being a Saturday morning, Clyde went out of his way to make a meal to start out the day for the two of them to share. He loved to cook for his fiancé despite the fact that he was not exactly the best cook around. He made do with his skills, especially with breakfast. Now with the little one on the way, she was certain it would happen far more often.
Clyde was already an attentive partner, looking out for her every need without being too overbearing. The way that he loved her was expressed with his every gesture, making her fall in love with him all over again each and every day. They would just continue to grow as soon as she told him about the pregnancy.
Maggie finished fixing up her hair and made her way back out into the bedroom. She opened the top drawer of the dresser and took out the ultrasound printed for her the previous day at the hospital. All that was shown was the little white and grey blob of a forming baby. She folded it up and tucked it into her back pocket, excited to finally show Clyde the picture.
“Darlin, breakfast is ready now!” Clyde called for her from the kitchen.
“Give me a minute,” she spoke back to him. “I’ll be right there!” swiftly, she put her hair up into a ponytail and hurried out to the kitchen. A delicious set up of food was spread across the table. There was a plate of pancakes, sausage, as well as bacon that was burnt just how Clyde enjoyed it to be. A jug of orange juice was placed in the center of the table with a pair of glasses.
As Clyde rummaged through the fridge for the butter, Maggie slipped the ultrasound picture out of her pocket and placed it beneath her plate. He walked around the table to kiss her cheek lovingly before returning over to the opposite side to sit down himself. “I hope that you enjoy breakfast today,” he smiled.
“You know that I always love what you cook for me,” Maggie assured him as she sat back in her chair to get more comfortable. She rested a hand on her stomach momentarily as she got a better look at what he had prepared. “how’s your morning been so far?”
“It’s been just fine,” he explained. “I had to run to the store real quick because we were out of eggs,” Clyde added as he plated his own meal from the small platter of food. He was always the type to eat a hefty meal in the morning just to ensure that he would be full of energy throughout the day. And on the bright side, it was his favorite mean anyways.
“Oh, we didn’t have any?”
“No, but that’s quite alright. I wasn’t out for too long,” he laughed as he plopped a piece of bacon into his mouth, savoring the mouth-watering flavor. “how are you feeling about the wedding coming up soon?”
“I’m really excited!” Maggie expressed. “you’re going to love my dress.”
“I’m sure that I will,” he mused. As the wedding was more on the traditional side, Clyde had yet to see her in the dress. They had been planning everything together, from the venue being a nice cabin they rented out by a lake to the beautiful rose flowers picked out for decoration. Everything was put together so all there was to worry about was making it all happen on the day of the wedding itself.
“Wait until you see Sadie’s dress, she’s so excited about being the flower girl.”
“Jimmy’s been telling me all about that,” he nodded in acknowledgment. “so, I’ve been thinking about testing out some new cocktails I’ve worked on. Ones that we could have served at the reception. How would you feel about stopping in at the bar later tonight and being by taste tester?” he suggested.
“Oh, I think that would be a great idea, your drinks are always so delicious,” Maggie started, laughing lightly at his proposal. “I really shouldn’t be drinking any time soon, as much as I would like two,” lifting the plate up, she took the ultrasound once more to unfold it. As she slid it across the oak wood table, Clyde’s dark orbs glanced down at it. His heart fluttered as he was able to take in the small print.
“Is this what I think it is?” he breathed out in utter disbelief.
“It is,” she hummed. “I went to the doctor yesterday and got confirmation that I’m pregnant. I’m not that far along, but we’re still going to have a baby-” Maggie started to tell him, but stopped as soon as he hurried over to her side of the table to engulf her in an affectionate hug.
“I can’t believe it, a baby!” he pulled away slightly to kiss her, their lips dancing against one another in celebration. “you make me so happy, Darlin. We’re getting married in a few weeks and now we’re going to have a baby. I don’t want anything more than this life with you,” as they parted from the kiss, she held on to him in support. “this means that we have to get a better house. Closer to the family in town. I may need to work more shifts at Duck Tape, anything for our family.”
“You don’t have to do anything!” she tried to insist. “what you’re doing now is great. With what we’re both making, there’s no reason why we can’t afford a small house.”
“You know there is no chance I’m going to listen to that,” he shook his head. “I’m going to do everything that I can to make sure that this baby has the best life that we can give them.”
Clyde pulled away and knelt down in front of Maggie, reaching over to grab the Ultrasound picture once more. He glanced over the image, wondering just how far along she had been. There was no telling how many more months it would be before they could meet their precious baby, but it was most certainly going to be worth the wait. His mind raced with so many possibilities, all of the things that they would have to do in preparation for their arrival.
“To think there’s a tiny baby in there, growing,” he felt tears pricking his eyes. His large hand came up to touch her stomach, amazed that their child was inside of her, growing to soon come into the world to meet their parents. “do you think it’s going to be a boy or a girl?”
Maggie couldn’t keep her eyes off of him as he interacted with her stomach, almost as if he thought the baby would move around for him to feel. It would not be too long until they could finally experience that for themselves. “I’m going to say a girl,” she answers. “I don’t know why,” Maggie shrugged. “and you?”
“I really don’t care so long as they’re healthy,” he whispered, leaning in to kiss her stomach. “I know that this is early, but my Ma still has our family crip somewhere up in her attic. We could see if we can have that for the baby. I can paint it if you don’t like the color, but it’s a real nice crip fit for any baby. Boy or girl.”
Being close to his family, Maggie had been over his parents’ house plenty of times. She once went up in the attic with her soon to be mother in law, falling in love with the crib at first sight. In fact, it was one of the things that made it all the more exciting for her to finally be starting a family with the love of her life. “I would love that!” she couldn’t stop smiling at him. “I know we don’t have to start shopping for anything now, but I’m looking forward to getting the baby some things.”
“Me too, Darlin,” he mused. “just wait until the family hears about this. We haven’t had a new baby since Sadie was born,” Clyde reminded her.
“Oh year, that’s right!” she nodded. Maggie already knew Clyde all those years ago, so she could remember his family when Sadie was born. A new baby coming along was always a real celebration. And for there to be a wedding and a birth within the same year was going to be a real treat for the entire family!
“What if we announced the pregnancy at the wedding? Give them all a real surprise!” he propounded.
“Oh, the looks on their faces when we tell them that!”
“Then I guess we can tell them at the wedding,” as he continued to kneel, he stared lovingly into her brown eyes, taking in her immense beauty. “I can’t stop loving you so much, and to know that we’re having a baby real soon makes me that happiest man in the world, Maggie. Thank you so much for loving someone like me.”
“Shush now,” she soothed, brushing one hand through his luscious locks as she used her free thumb to wipe away his tears of joy. “before you go saying anything, I love you because you’ve done so much for me and make me feel so loved. I won’t want anyone else to raise a child with. Don’t ever doubt yourself, Clyde. You’re going to make not just the best husband, but the best father, too.”
“You mean so much to me…” he breathed, pulling her down for yet another kiss. He gently caressed her soft cheeks, savoring every moment of their kiss, the most heavenly feeling in all of his existence.

Description: CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS, PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE FILM. You’ve been working for the Thrombeys for four years now, the last three years of your service being a glorified babysitter to the most annoying, self-absorbed, dickhead Hugh Ransom Drysdale. These are the four Christmases you’ve spent with the Thrombey/Drysdale clan during your times of service.
A/N: This story is brought to you by season 4 of Schitt’s Creek and maybe 12 cups of coffee. It felt like it took forever to write, but I’m happy to bring it to you. This is the follow up for my other Ransom one-shot ‘the assistant’. I hope you guys like it!

What a fucking asshole.
“You have to be there, it’s your job.” Ransom huffed indignantly. You rolled your eyes from the passenger seat of his beamer, tablet open in your lap as you scrolled through your sister’s amazon wishlist.
“I have a family too Ransom. I can’t just abandon my own family on Christmas just because you can’t get along with yours.” His knuckles turned white against the gear shift. Nothing else mattered, only him it seemed, and his whining Mommy complex.

“My feet hurt,” you whined.
“Why does that not surprise me?” Jana asked.
Brooks hooked his arm in yours, Jana grabbing your other. “Keep up, Buttercup,” he said.
As much as they teased you, they were your best friends and you missed them terribly. Thank goodness Disney always had something major in the works. You were able to fly out to Orlando, a few times a year, often staying with Jana and Brooks. They had a little one, Peter, who loved his Aunty and didn’t mind sharing his parents with. Peter was staying with Brooks’ brother for a few days so that his parents could have “an adult trip”.

Clyde groaned as his honey brown eyes fluttered open, digging his face into his pillow as the bright rays of the sun peeked through the blinds. As his mind adjusted to just awakening, he reached over for your figure. However, his hand never came to discern you, he came to the realization that you were not in bed with him as you usually would be. He propped himself up and turned to the digital clock to his bedside on the nightstand.
Seven thirty-eight, the vivid red numbers read to him.
Sitting up, he let his lengthy legs dangle off the side of the queen-sized bed. His hand raked over the crimson red comforter and tossed it to the side so that he could stand up. Clyde made his way over to the long bureau mirror to take in his horrific morning hair. He used his hand to brush the innumerable knots all through his inky black locks until he was satisfied.
After he put on his favorite Bob Seger T-Shirt, he opened the door in search of you. “(Y/N), where are you?” he called out for you until he paused. Clyde’s lips puckered in pleasure as he smelt the savor aroma of bacon sizzling in the kitchen, complemented by the scent of fresh coffee and pancakes. “There is no way on earth that she could cook for me…” he whispered in anticipation.
“I’m in the kitchen!” you shouted back to him in response. As Clyde walked passed your daughter Eleanor’s nursery, he noticed that she was not in her crib. A smile was wide across his freckled features as he took in the sight before him. You had been preparing him a nice breakfast with plenty of food to satisfy his morning hunger. “good morning, I hope you slept well last night,” you greeted him with a matching smile.
“Darlin’ aren’t I supposed to be the one to treat you well on Valentine’s day?” he inquired as his arms wrapped around your waist, his chest against your back. Clyde leaned down to kiss the back of your neck gently. He pulled back as you shooed him away. You took the plated dishes and stride to the kitchen table.
“Please! It’s not a day when my husband is supposed to do everything for me,” you shook your head just as you placed to two plates on the kitchen table, out of reach of your daughter. Her pink and brown Daddy’s Little Girl bib was secure around her neck prepared to eat her own breakfast. “now sit down and just enjoy the food. I’m not sure what you’ve got planned for me today, but this is my way of giving yourself something!”
Clyde ceased to argue with you, taking a seat next to little Ellie with her wide (Y/E/C). “Hello Princess, you look so adorable today,” he cooed, leaning in closer to allow her to grab his index finger. Ellie flapped her tiny legs up and down as she laughed, pulling his hand closer to her. His eyes glanced up as you returned to the table with the baby’s food; a place with sweet strawberry yogurt, small pieces of banana, and cut up cheese blocks.
“She wasn’t fussy for once in the morning,” you mused. Opposed to many young children, your daughter seemed to like staying in bed in the morning. Her seemingly favorite blanket was to remain in her bedroom and her attachment to it was rather surprising. As she wanted to sleep with it every night, Clyde would much rather her not bring it everywhere that she went as to not get it dirty. That way, it couldn’t be a risk to get her sick.
“That’s good,” As a father, he was extremely protective and did what he could to make sure that your little one was always as safe as could be. He also knew that she couldn’t quite sleep without it yet so if anything happened to it where it needed to be washed, it was game over for her sleeping schedule.
Clyde’s dark orbs returned to her just as you took a seat yourself. Ellie wasted no time digging right into her breakfast, yogurt spatting every which way before she started to have her way with the baby food. “Are you sure that you got her a sitter for today?” you had to wonder as you plopped a piece of perfectly burnt bacon into your mouth.
“Of course I did, don’t you worry about that. All you have to think about is getting ready for our date tonight. You know that I’ve been planning this for weeks now,” his smile never faded as he rested his head on his closest fist after Ellie let go of her grasp on his finger. “everything is going to work out alright. And if it messes up, then I’ve got a backup plan.”
“Alright, I trust you,” you assured Clyde. As you ate, you both watched Ellie closely as she ate her food. She was rather a messy eater, which meant she was always to be outfitted with the biggest of bibs so that you wouldn’t be changing her clothes all of the time. Not even five minutes had gone by and yogurt was all over her face and bib. A few pieces of cheese and banana had even made it onto the wooden floor below.
After you and Clyde finished the mouth watering breakfast you prepared for him, you took to washing the dishes. He, on the other hand, was focused on Ellie. With the baby wipes resting on the table, he gently dabbed the food off of her chubby cheeks to clean her off. As she babbled in response, he couldn’t suppress a laugh. “Come on Darlin, stay still for daddy so he can clean you right up.”
“Dada!” The raven haired baby burbled, swatting at his face as it was just barely in her reach. They smile upon her cute features was enough to get his heart pounding, taking in how much he adored his daughter. She was one of the loves of his life, brought into existence with his wonderful wife.
As his prosthetic hand held the back of her head supportingly so that he could properly wipe off the pink yogurt from her face. It didn’t take long to get her to cooperate. He tossed the dirties wipes into the garbage bin before unstrapping the bib. He folded it up carefully and placed it on the table.
“Alright, time to get you out of your chair,” Clyde spoke once more. He stood up and reached down to lift her out of the high chair, holding her close. She rested on his side as he hugged her in his right arm. “she might not understand what Valentine’s Day is, but why don’t we get her a little something while we’re out?” He suggested, approaching you at the sink.
The smile ceased to fade from Ellie’s face, her eyes glued on you out of curiosity. “What were you thinking of getting her? We can’t exactly get her anything conventional.”
“A stuffed animal and cookies. Nothing big. I just want to celebrate her first real Valentine’s Day with lots of love,” he admitted. Last Valentine’s Day, shortly after her birthday during the beginning of the year - as she was a winter baby - she was so young. Even you and Clyde didn’t do much that year as you were far more focused on your daughter.
“That sounds great. I’m sure some places are still open in town.”
“Of course there is. Somewhere ‘round the center will do just fine,” Clyde nodded in agreement. He leaned in close, snaking his arm around you to pull you into a loving embrace. Ellie reached her hands out to cling onto you, digging her face into your shoulder. “thank you so much for the delicious breakfast, Darlin. I promise to make this the best Valentine’s Day you’ll ever have

Lights Out- An Adam SacklerxReader One-Shot
Written for @kylosupremeimagines and the Valentine’s Day Fic Exchange. I hope you enjoy it! Happy Valentine’s day!!!
Warnings: Cursing
Tumblr media
“Adam, we have got to go grocery shopping.” Y/N shouted from the tiny kitchen apartment that she shared with her roommate Adam Sackler.
“Oh fuck that.” Adam responded from the other room where he was… building something? She couldn’t really tell- all she knew was that it was loud and very annoying.
“I’ve done the grocery shopping every week for the past three months, it’s your turn!” She said, the annoyance with her roommate clear in her voice. Suddenly the loud banging sound stopped and Adam appeared in the doorway.
“I know and you’re so good at it. You know if I go I’m getting yogurt and beer. Yogurt and beer only.” He said, giving her a face that she already knew she couldn’t say no to.
“Alright. Fine.” She said rolling her eyes.
“Kid, this is why you are my best friend and the best roommate.” Adam said gripping her waist with a friendly squeeze. As much as she wanted to stay irritated with him, she knew it wouldn’t last long. She could feel the smile spreading across her face as she looked at Adam.
Y/N had known Adam almost all of her life. They had done community theatre together as kids and by the time they were teenagers, they were practically inseparable. When Adam left to move to the city, they had stayed in contact, seeing each other when he came home to visit. She had never thought about moving to the city, content with her life in the small town she loved.
However, that had all changed when she found herself at a crossroads. Her boyfriend of 2 years had dumped her, her job had become monotonous and boring, and most of her family had moved out of the area. One night she called Adam, mainly to complain, when he quickly shut her down.
“If you are so unhappy then do something about it.” He said, leaving her speechless and annoyed.
“What?” Her voice came through the phone harshly and quickly.
“I said if you are so fucking unhappy then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!” He made sure to over emphasize the last few words to really hit his point home. “Your boyfriend was an asshole, also- told you on that one. You’ve always hated your job, and everyone has moved away because where we grew up suckssss.” Y/N sat there on the phone speechless. She knew he was right, but there was no way she was going to admit it.
“It’s not that simple, Adam.” She started before he interrupted her again.
“Yes it fucking is. Stop being so dramatic. Want a change? Move to the city. Hell, move in with me. I could definitely use help with the rent.” His response was so blunt that it threw her for a second.
“Are you serious?” The tone in her voice quickly changed with her response.
“Hell yeah. It would be fun to be roommates.” And just like that- Y/N found herself leaving the life she had always known to move in with her lifelong friend. It was very surprising to her how easily she adjusted to living in the city. She found a job she liked quickly and settled into the bustling city life. Adam was a great resource, letting her know what she needed to do and what was essential to avoid.
Being roommates with Adam wasn’t as bad as she thought it might be. Sure, he did random, loud projects at all hours of the night and brought home women pretty frequently, but overall he was respectful of her space and made her feel safe.
There was really only one weird thing that came from “being roommates” and that was this weird tension that had developed between them. They had fun and things were great, but there seemed to be this draw, some invisible tether that made her want to be close to him. Sure, she had a crush on him as a kid but it was childish and she knew it could never develop into anything. However, there was something about living in these tight quarters, sharing so many domestic moments that made her almost feel those stirrings of desire and love deep inside.
“So, when are you going shopping? I’m starved.” He said, as she rolled her eyes and slugged him in the shoulder.
“I’ll go tomorrow, ok?” Falling onto the couch, she looked up at him. “Wait, why would you only buy yogurt and beer? You don’t even drink!”
“See, that's how absolutely shitty I am at shopping kid.” Shrugging, he left the room and within minutes and started his loud project again. “By the way,” he yelled over the jarring sounds of metal hitting wood. “I’m going out with Hannah tonight. Some party at one of her stupid friend’s house.”
“I thought you two weren’t together anymore.” Y/N yelled back, feeling jealousy settle deep in her stomach.
“We aren’t, but you know…” He started to say, before he was interrupted.
“I get it. You can stop there.” She knew he was going to say that they still fuck around, and she just couldn’t stomach hearing it again. Making her way to her room, she fell back on the bed. Having no plans of her own, she decided to spend the evening doing what she loves: watching Chris Evans movies and eating the chocolate she had hidden in her bedside drawer so Adam couldn’t get to it.
She was halfway through Gifted when suddenly the electricity went out. Scrambling out of bed, she grabbed her cellphone.
“Adam? Are you still here?” Y/N called out. Her door had been shut and Adam didn’t always tell her when he was leaving.
“I’m here! What the fuck happened?” Adam said. She could hear his steps coming closer to her but she still couldn’t see him even with the glow of her cell phone. Within moments he was beside her, his face illuminated by the phone. A towel was wrapped low around his waist as he had clearly just gotten out of the shower. Water glistened off his chest and she could feel her cheeks start to redden.
“I have no clue.” Her response was quick, trying to move past the moment of temporary awkwardness. They looked at each other for a minute before she turned to her phone, looking for information. He watched as the look of shock spread across her face. “Apparently the whole city is out! Look at this picture of Times Square.” He peered over to her phone screen.
“Oh damn.” He said in his low, slow voice. “Well it looks like you are stuck with me for the night. I’m not leaving in this mess. I can only imagine how fucking crazy its going to be out there.” He shrugged. “Can I borrow your phone to get to my room so I can put clothes on?”
“Where is yours?” Y/N asked. Adam didn’t really answer, just shrugged. She followed him into his room and handed him her phone.
“Now- no peeking.” Adam joked and again Y/N was glad that the lack of electricity covered the blush that was now spreading across her body. She rolled her eyes and turned to face the doorway. Within moments he was dressed in shorts and a t-shirt. He handed her back her phone and they stood there.
“So- what are we going to do?” He asked.
“Uh- I have a few candles in my room. We could light those in the living room so I can save my phone battery.” She skeptically suggested. Adam seemed to approve of the plan, so within 30 minutes the living room was lit up with candles and the two of them were relaxing on the couch.
“So…” Y/N said.
“So what?” Adam responded.
“What do you want to do?”
“Well sitting here in silence fucking sucks, lets play a game or something?” He said.
“A game? How old are we?” She teased, elbowing his side.
“Oh, you prefer the silence? Then by all means let's continue…” He said, stretching his legs out in front of him and closing his eyes.
“I was teasing! What game do you want to play?” She sat criss-cross on the couch so she could face him.
“Truth or dare.” He said, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
“We aren’t in 9th grade…” She started to say before he interrupted her.
“You already played the “we are too old to play games” joke- come on- just do it.”
“Alright, alright.” She said as he turned to face her. They started playing truth or dare, keeping things simple. Before long they were cracking each other up trying to be as goofy as possible. As the night went on they would play truth or dare off and on, their truth and dares getting more and more bold. She couldn’t tell if she was just imagining it, but it seemed like Adam was moving closer and closer to her. His truths and dares seemed to be more risque, making the moment seem more and more intimate. However, it was impossible for things to be too serious with Adam around.
“I dare you to flash the window.” Adam said.
“Easy!” Y/N responded, turning towards the window and raising her shirt.
“Very nice, you’ve gotten much better at this game since high school.” Adam teased, placing a hand on her leg as she sat back down. “Remember that night at Claire’s house?”
“Oh god. I’ve tried really hard to forget that night.” Y/N put her hands on her face, covering her clear embarrassment.
“I haven’t. That night was very interesting.” Adam said with a laugh.
“Yes it was. At least the parts I can remember. Ugh, I’ve never been that sick before in my life.” Y/N said, leaning her head against Adam’s shoulder. “What a crazy night.” She expected Adam to make some retort about how idiotic she looked that night but Adam was silent. “Earth to Adam?”
“How much do you remember?” He asked
“Huh?” She responded.
“Remember how we made out that night?” Adam said.
“Oh my gosh. As much as I have tried- no I have not forgotten that night.” She said with a laugh.
“Hey- why are you trying to forget? I’m a great kisser!” He said, faking offense.
“We were drunk and in Claire’s older brother’s closet.” She retorted back. “It smelled like gym shorts.”
“Is that all you remember?” Adam said, and Y/N almost felt like he moved a bit closer to her on the couch, his hand sliding up her thigh.
“I mean the smell was pretty overpowering…” She laughed. Somehow her response seemed meek, like she wasn’t sure exactly what to say.
“Why was that the only time we made out? We’ve been friends for so long, you think it would have happened again.” Adam said, making Y/N feel like the wind had been knocked out of her.
“I don’t know.” She said quickly. “Hey, I’m starved, you want a snack?” Y/N went to stand up, but Adam’s hand kept her in place.
“You already know we don’t have any snacks, so why are you trying to leave? Does this make you feel uncomfortable?” He leaned closer to her, the space between them disappearing.
“Uh.. I, I mean- no of course not. We are friends, we can talk about making out. That's not weird, like come on, no big deal. I mean…”  She started, feeling the warmth of his skin as he slid his arms around her. They sat in silence for a moment, the tension between them growing exponentially.
“Truth or dare?” Adam said, sitting close enough to her that she could feel his breath as he spoke.
“What?” Y/N said, almost feeling breathless as her senses felt overwhelmed.
“Just answer. Truth or dare?”
“Dare.” She whispered. Adam didn’t really answer, instead he closed the distance between them and pressed his lips against hers, wordlessly daring her to kiss him back.
She did, intensely and passionately. It was like all the tension that had been hanging around them since she had moved in had exploded. They clung to each other, exploring each other’s mouths. It wasn’t long before she felt herself starting to giggle against his lips.
“What's so funny, kid?” He asked, giving her a look.
“I just can’t believe that happened. We aren’t even drunk. This is so crazy.” She said through a laugh.
“Sometimes the things that are the most crazy seem to make the most sense?” He said with a shrug, before pressing his lips against her again. She allowed herself to be over taken by him, his mouth on hers, his hands feeling like they were touching every part of her.
Honestly, she wasn’t sure what this meant, and she didn’t really care. She was going to enjoy every moment of having him this close. She couldn’t help but think that she had never thought power outages were romantic, but this night was surprising her in more ways than one.
