This is the answer to most of these type of questions honestly. Everything that we make is made by *people*! There are people who know how to do everything, because it’s just people who figured it out in the first place. An “anarchist society” (put in quotes because that doesn’t mean one thing) would make sharing of information and actual production of things easier, not harder! The idea that we need centralization and gatekeeping of knowledge to maintain the level of technology we have is a fucking myth and it is the exact opposite!

there's already a thread floating around that we've reblogged a few times and should be findable under our #anarchy 101 tag, but long answer short the same way people get it now, just without billionaires and politicians restricting who can access it. insulin is incredibly cheap and easy to make, it was invented/discovered a hundred years ago, and the patent famously sold for a buck because it 'belonged to the world'.

I am being 100% serious btw, BP coined the term "carbon footprint" and the shift from corporations to individuals as the cause of climate change was backed by fossil fuel companies. This is not a conspiracy theory, it's a well recorded fact that you can easily confirm with a quick google search.

"Carbon footprints" are corporate propaganda. Taking shorter showers and planting flowers will not save our planet as long as these companies are allowed to mow down forests, turn grasslands into monoculture farms, turn wetlands into dust bowl housing developments, fill our oceans with oil and trash, and dump their toxic shit wherever they want.

I just need to say. Yes. Be sick. Be outraged. Be loud. This does need to stop. And then? You can’t stop. Because we’ve BEEN complicit in murdering innocent people. The whole fucking time. We started with genocide of indigenous people (still ongoing btw). We’ve BEEN systematically killing black people in this country. Our imperialism kills people across the world, as it is in the Congo right now. What is homelessness if not murder of civilians? Our society is built on the very foundation of atrocious murder. What’s happening in pa13st1n3 is a concentrated, horrifying microcosm of what the US has ALWAYS DONE. Across the world. We need people to connect those dots, do something, and not stop doing something for literally the rest of your life. The whole world needs to change. These are the stakes.

“Israel is committing genocide.” Yes. They are. But so is the US. The US is 100% complicit in this, and Israel would not have been able to do as much without the help of the US. It feels like for a while in there that people were dropping them as a sponsor but now that the controversy has slightly dimmed there are so many ads for them again; do not give them your information, do not give them your money

I know insurance is a pain in the ass and mental health treatments cost too much out of pocket for most people. So do they, that's why they're making this little bait and switch operation. Helping people is, at best, a side product of their data harvesting, and at worst just a trick to lure people in.

my question is when will we learn that identity actually has nothing to do with whether you’re a good and chill person? there are assholes of all identities and wonderful ppl of all identities, stop using identities to generalize about a person’s interpersonal existence. obv identity impacts our experience but it does not actually impact anyone uniformly and so therefore doesn’t really tell you anything about a person other than they have a certain identity! that’s it! stop extrapolating and stereotyping and doing the work of systemic oppression for them, people are people and these little boxes do not tell you what kind of person you are!!!! ahhh!!!!

probably the most real demonstration of online versus offline discourse on "transmascs versus transfems" infighting was at a transmasc meetup where one person was like "eugh i've just had suuuch bad experiences with transfems, i don't trust them" and the guy next to me just blinks and goes "hey uh. my wife is a trans woman" and the rest of us chime in like "yeah we all have transfem friends, what's your problem"

and then after talking to that person for longer we discover that they almost never interact with the trans community outside of tumblr and don't have any contact with transfems face to face
