“Matt, yesterday Lance touched me and my skin tingled and I got nauseous, but almost good-nauseous, but that doesn’t make sense???”

“You’ve got a crush, kiddo. You’re attracted to him.”

Pidge has no idea how to proceed with these feelings

Matt tells her to ask him to do something they both enjoy

This leads to Pidge asking Lance to play video games with her all the time

She doesn’t get what this has to do with her apparent “crush” but they bond and joke around so that’s good

Matt casually talking to Lance and slipping in praises about Pidge

Matt advising her to set up a more traditionally romantic date alone with Lance

“Lance, want to get dinner with me alone on this planet we haven’t explored yet?”

“Are you planning on murdering me or something? What did I do?”

Cue Matt sliding in with a super cool restaurant suggestion

“Give him random compliments.”

Pidge actively picks the most random times to tell him he’s clever or his eyes are pretty or smth

It catches Lance off guard and he always blushes

Matt tells Lance when Pidge falls asleep in her workroom again

It’s so worth it to see him carrying her bridal style back to her room

“Touch him. Nothing weird, casual touches, but more of them.”

Pidge starts leaning against Lance like he’s a pillar or a wall

He reacts by using her head as an armrest

Plance joking around in a public space and Matt loudly telling them to stop flirting

“Gifts. Gifts are romantic, especially really personal ones.”

Pidge steals Lance’s face mask, replicates the ingredients, and presents him with a tub of the stuff the size of a watermelon

Lance then convinces her to have a little spa day with him

“Pidge chose our dog Bae Bae because she was the runt of the litter.”

I just can’t stop seeing this...

The animators had a story to tell.

Lance notices the arrival of Pidge in the Green Lion.

He turns away from the Allura statue to watch Pidge fly across the sky. He looks happy to see her arrival. His wounded heart is healing.

They still look like teenagers here. Lance is casually leaning his arm on Pidge, in a manner that is unconsciously affectionate. He still feels drawn to her, is comfortable being close to her, and is in her personal space (as always.) The pink mouse on Pidge’s shoulder has a heart-shaped tail, indicating a romantic pairing. They look incredibly happy.

They look like young adults here, but one can infer that their casual affection and familiar closeness remains. Lance’s hand is hovering over Pidge’s shoulder. Is he about to touch her shoulder or is he about to wave at the camera? Either way, we know Lance will be okay. He and Pidge look very happy standing beside each other. The pink mouse still has a heart-shaped tail after a certain number of years has passed, indicating that the feelings of romantic attachment have endured the test of time. This is endgame. 💙💚

Summary:

Pidge has been Lance’s best friend since their first day of kindergarten when he sat on the bench with her at recess because he thought she looked lonely. Now it’s their senior year of high school and she’s been crushing on him hard since middle school, but now he’s dating their mutual friend Allura and it’s made him not be himself. After all these years, will Pidge be able to tell him how she feels? Will Lance finally figure out he belongs with Pidge?

Okay, my thoughts… I wasn’t told it was inspired by Tailor Swift song, but later when I read the notes I based my art off of. I was like… HEY, THERE WAS THIS SONG YOU USED TO LISTEN WHEN YOU WERE LOVESICK… Ha… ha… ha… And I haven’t listened to it since 2013 I think and then I listened again and got this overwhelmed nostalgia and went with such colors that later my eyes went dry. Also, childhood friends used to be my fav trope so I wanted to get the best I could do for this fanfic adding the fact I was the pinch hitter.

ANYWAAAY…. HIGHSCHOOL PROM IS MY FAV… bc I based the background of Stranger Things’ Snow Dance from s2 finale!

Plance! KnightAU where Katie takes her family sword and joins the knights of voltron who serve the fairy queen Allura. Lance joined in search of adventure and left his family farm.

Oceans of blue and salty air surrounded the small town like a blanket of sea. Summertime was always the busiest for the locals, especially for the main shopkeepers who supplied the bay all year round.

And sure, wasn’t much to do in terms of fun other than surfing or swimming really, but it was home nonetheless for Lance.

It had been years since he had stepped foot into his parents’ house, and even seeing the pale blue brickwork sent his stomach into knots. The garden looked deader than it was the last time he saw it, with various weeds growing along the fence and dying rose bushes that since now replaced spots where bikes and toys once used to stay.

Maybe he could try and save it, after its the least he could do after all the grief he’s given them.

The white paint was beginning to chip around the edges of the stained-glass window, maybe once he’s done fixing up the garden, he can repaint the door too.

He reached for the handle before freezing. He should knock, even if it was home once. His mother had to right to slam the door in his face if she wished to.

Some things I like:

Making origami things. It started when I made money origami for a card, and I've been doing it since. Now I'm trying it with post-it notes

Making collages. I got an app that lets me put photos together into cool designs. It's a great way to capture the 'aesthetic' of characters or OCs

Hot tubs. I have a hot tub, but didn't really use it much until my friends came over and wanted to. I then realized what I've been missing out on 😌

Those good feelings of nostalgia. One example is me finding a sudden interest in classic Barbie movies again. I'm trying to rewatch as many as possible!

Music that makes me cry. Sometimes, I don't let my emotions out enough, and I just need a really impactful song to help me out. I recently saw Godzilla, and the theme for Mothra gets me every time.
