so i applied to three preschools today and two of them were for temples in need of teachers and carers suited for the role.
i got an email and the verbiage looked a little familiar. wouldn’t you know it, my old synagogue is hiring. i’m not really in a position to turn down offers, so here’s hoping i get a callback from the latter of the two.

petty poll because i'm working on the campaign and still feel a certain way and my sister is the only one i can really talk to about it because my mom's not hearing anything that's outside of her 5d ascension;

g’mar chatima tova here’s a reminder for me and for you, if you need it:
fasting is not a punishment.
your health comes first.
atonement and repentance doesn’t mean guilt and punishment.
fasting is not a punishment.
if you’re treating it like one or thinking of it in those terms, you shouldn’t be doing it.
it is a mitzvah to give yourself what you need to be healthy and safe.
there are many ways to observe yom kippur that don’t require a literal fast. the fast is just a vehicle for the spiritual focus that comes from self-denial.
here’s an explanation of the function of fasting, to emphasize the fact that fasting is not a punishment.
here’s a resource on yom kippur for people who have problems with disordered eating, including a list of fasting alternatives for those who can’t or shouldn’t fast but still want to observe the holiday.
